Track Nineteen
Your POV
The next morning you wake up first like usual.
Daniela's arm around your waist, tangled up on you, like if she would let go you wouldn't come back.
You get up, to get your day started. You had so many ideas and places you wanted to show her.
But first breakfast. So you made coffee, and honestly just settled for bacon, eggs, and french toast. You didn't want her to eat too much knowing you're probably gonna make her eat a lot more outside, but making breakfast for her is one thing you really liked.
In the background, Brent Faiyaz playing music in the morning just something pretty much apart of your nervous system.
You finished cooking a little faster knowing if Daniela got up and didn't see you, you wouldn't hear the last of it.
As you walk back to the room, you genuinely try to not make too much noise, setting her food on the table to the side.
You lightly shake her awake, kissing her all on her face, then her lips hoping to wake the girl up peacefully.
Her eyes slowly flutter open, her eyes landing on you.
There goes that smile you love once she finally sees your face, wrapping her arms around you to pull you deeper into her.
"Morning beautiful" you say. "Mmm morning to you too.
Why are you always up and moving without me hm" she says.
"Well if you really wanna know" you say dragging on the sentence.
"I brought you breakfast in bed, nothing too crazy though cause there will be lots of eating later today" you finish.
"Aww, thank you so much y/nn. I really do appreciate it, but why are you trying to make me big.
" she questions raising her eyebrow. " Shit maybe i just want you all to myself, you gonna look good to me always so.
.." you say shrugging your shoulders. "Anyways eat, get ready and dressed, gotta make sure you have fun today. "
She narrows her eyes at you, trying not to smile. "Oh so this is my itinerary now? You just bossing me around in your childhood home?" You lean down, stealing a piece of bacon off her plate. "Yeah not gonna lie, I am." She gasps dramatically. "The audacity."
You sit on the edge of the bed while she starts eating, watching her in that way you don't even try to hide anymore.
Hair messy. Hoodie sliding off one shoulder.
Sleep still in her voice. Brent's playing low in the background, something smooth and heavy that fills the room without demanding attention. She notices you staring.
"What?" she asks, chewing slowly. "Nothing." "Why are you looking at me like that."
"Like what?" "Like you're thinking too much." You smirk slightly. "Shit maybe I am."
She tilts her head, studying you back now. "About?"
You shrug, leaning back on your hands. "Just like seeing you here.
" "Here here? Or here with you?" "Both." That softens her.
She takes another bite, then points her fork at you.
"You're in a good mood this morning." "Oh am I?
" "Mhm. You're less guarded." That word again, feels a little like a shot but you try not to think too much about tit.
You look down for a second, then back at her. "Maybe I slept good." She raises an eyebrow. "Oh? That's why?" You lean forward slightly, lowering your voice just enough.
"Or maybe it's cause you were wrapped around me like I was gonna vanish."
Her expression flickers — just barely. "I wasn't." "You were." She looks down at her plate now, quieter. "I just don't like waking up and not knowing where you are." You didn't expect that. The teasing tone shifts into something more real. You move closer, brushing your thumb along her jaw gently.
"I was downstairs. I'm not disappearing from my own house.
" you say with a slight chuckle. "I know," she says softly.
"I just... I don't like empty space." There it is again.
That simmer. You could make a joke but you don't. Instead you lean in and kiss her slower this time.
Not playful. Not rushed. Just warm and intentional.
Your hand slides to her waist, holding her there like she can't float away even if she tried.
When you pull back, her eyes linger on yours.
"You're different here," she says quietly.
"Good different?" She nods. "I told you this place is my peace and plus you're here.
It's just chefs kiss i cant even lie." You lean your forehead against hers for a second, letting the music fill the silence. Then she smirks suddenly.
"Wait. Did you really just say you want me bigger so you can keep me to yourself?"
You roll your eyes. "I was joking." "Mm," she hums, not fully convinced. "Sounded possessive." You tilt your head. "Would that be a problem?" Her lips part slightly.
"Depends," she says. "How possessive we talking?
" There's a pause. The air shifts just a little heavier.
You step between her knees where she's sitting on the bed.
Not aggressive. Just close enough that she has to look up at you.
"Enough," you say quietly, "that I don't like the idea of anyone else thinking they can have your attention the way I do.
" Her breath catches, not dramatic, just subtle. "That's new," she murmurs.
"Is it?" "You usually pretend you don't care."
You hold her gaze. "I never said I didn't care." "You act like you don't." You exhale slowly. "Still working on that." She sets the plate aside. Now her hands slide up your arms. Your hand slides to the back of her neck, thumb resting just under her ear, steady.
The tension sits there between you, not explosive, just charged.
Morning light coming through the curtains.
Brent still humming in the background. Her legs still loosely around your hips from where you stepped closer.
She leans up first this time, kissing you slower.
Your hands tighten slightly at her waist in response.
There's heat there. But it doesn't tip over.
She pulls back first, breath slightly uneven.
"Okay," she says softly. "Before we don't leave this house at all.
" You grin. "See? Now who's the problem?
" She pushes your chest lightly. "Go shower.
If you're my tour guide today, you can't be musty. " You laugh, stepping away.
You guys eventually the house, getting in your car you first make your way to an escape room.
Why not start the day off with some fun right?
Nope. You both were arguing the whole time, about who was right about the riddles, what object opens what, just wasting all the hint you had the minute you were confused.
Surprisingly though you guys finished...
only because the employee watching over asked if you wanted an extra minute.
"Y/n...i now know that if we ever got kidnapped and had to solve a riddle or some shit to survive...we would die."
"Hey what the fuck, it wasn't my fault that you weren't keeping track of the clues." "Yeah yeah whatever. Where to next my lovely tour guide?" she asks
"Alright this one time me and my cousin found this severely underrated Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn, and I've literally have gatekeeped. So do feel honored when you try the food." you say "Mmm yeah okay we'll see about that that" she says sarcastically.
"Omg these Birria Tacos are actually amazing what the fuck" she says with her mouth full.
"I told you" you say crying laughing. The look of actual joy on her face made you smile, you loved moments like this, no matter if it was eating out, sitting in the house, or going outside, you loved it.
And to make it even better, you were doing with a woman you genuinely are trying to let in.
You check the time on your phone, realizing it a little late you got one place to show her.
"Dani, finish up, i got one last place okay" you mention.
As she finished, you paid the bill and grabbed her hand walking out together.
The last place was a surprise for her. But it was to an underground club in Harlem.
You first found out about it when you were 16, thinking you were going to a party with friends, and ended up there.
You lead Daniela in, to loud music, lights flashing all over, people dancing, just vibing.
"Oh my god this is so fucking fire" Daniela says.
"I wanted you to see the place that showed me music, producing, was something I knew I would always do no matter what.
" you say pulling her into you. "This is so cool Y/n.
..i really do appreciate it. You'e literally made today so fun and a much needed break during the tour.
Thank you" she says bringing you into a deep kiss.
Your hands moved like they belonged there, both attaching to her ass, molding as you ground her hips into you.
You both pull apart, her fingers twisting in your hair.
"You know i really wouldn't mind leaving.
.." she says teasingly. "I would too...but not yet.
We just got here pretty." you respond. She bites her lip,"Okay only for a little linger then you need to take me home and so we can deal with this" she says palming you through your pants.
" "What am i gonna do with you..." you say laughing a little.
You continue, dancing. As you leave to go get her a drink, you run into your friend Kevin.
"Oh shit Y/N the fuck you doing here." he says giving you a hug.
"Shit, I'm only here for a couple days, showing my.
..my girl around. Giving her a little break" you say feeling proud for some reason.
"Shit okay, i wish you would've told me.
" he responds "My fault honestly wasn't planning on seeing anyone since i wasn't got be here too long but i promise i'll be back out here in a couple weeks so ima hit you " you say.
"For sure, it was good seeing you." giving you a hug.
As you walk back to Daniela, you see some random ass nigga all in her face tryna talk to her.
You can visibly see she's uncomfortable and somehow he not catching the hint.
"You good baby?" you ask her grabbing her hand pulling her towards you.
"Yeah she's goo-" " The fuck was i talking to you, I'm talking to her, MY GIRL.
Get the fuck from over here, weird ass." you cut him off, starting to grown irritated with him even more.
He leaves and you check on Dani, "you okay?
i aint mean to get out of character like that, i could genuinely tell you were uncomfortable as i walked over here" you say holding her face.
She pulls you into a deep kiss, "take me home. now please." Say no fucking more.
Next part i promise, yall dont gotta wait.
