Chapter Twelve

Avery

“How can you two stand there pretending everything is fine? How does she not get suspicious when you’re gone so often?”

I throw the questions at them without giving them a chance to respond.

Jaxton’s eyes go wide, confusion and something deeper flashing across his face. “I… I don’t understand.”

His voice cracks with uncertainty, his gaze pleading silently for an explanation.

Liam looks between us, his expression intense as he tries to piece things together. I can’t believe they’re playing innocent.

“I thought this was different.”

My tough front crumbles as my voice wavers, emotions clogging my throat, turning the next words into a whisper. “I thought what we had was special. Why go through all of this? Introducing me to Lenn and Kam, coming by every night…”

My lip trembles, and a tear slips down my cheek. I quickly swipe it away, but Liam notices and moves to pull me into his arms.

“Don’t!”

I snap, and he releases me instantly, as if stung by my sharp rejection.

“Bee, please… just tell us what’s going on.”

Desperation drips from his words like the lifeline he’s grasping for.

“Don’t call me that—not anymore.”

Another tear escapes as I wipe it away, my gaze hardening.

“Avery…”

Jaxton’s voice is full of regret, his face as desperate as Liam’s.

“Why don’t you ask your girlfriend!”

I scream. “Get it now? Get out of my house. Now!”

The realization dawns on both of them, and they exchange a look before it hits home.

“Dammit!”

Liam snaps, glaring at Jaxton. “I told you to tell her. Fix this. Now.”

He turns to me, his gaze softening. Crawling closer on his knees, he speaks gently. “Baby, please, just listen for a second, okay? It’s not what you think it is.”

Slowly, he moves his hand toward mine, pressing a kiss to my knuckles, his eyes begging for a chance to explain.

Jaxton runs a hand through his hair, visibly tense as he prepares to tell me everything. “Avery… did you see me earlier today?”

“What does it matter? I know what I saw. You need to leave. Now.”

I point toward the door, though I can feel my anger beginning to fade.

“Kitten, please, just let me explain,”

he pleads, stepping forward.

I fold my arms across my chest, refusing to look at him directly. “I’d love to hear how you plan to explain this one. Go ahead.”

“I’m sorry I hurt you. I should have told you sooner. My brothers warned me about keeping it from you.”

He glances briefly at Liam, who nods in agreement.

“Damn right I did,”

Liam says, shooting him a look before turning back to me. “Full transparency is how you build trust. Isn’t it, baby?”

He kisses my fingers again, but I glare at him.

“Stop trying to kiss my ass. You were there, too, looking awfully cozy. You didn’t say anything either.”

He looks away guiltily, but Jaxton pulls my attention back.

“I’m… I’m an actor. The movie that’s filming in town? It’s mine. I’m the lead. What you saw today was for the movie. I don’t have feelings for her anymore.”

His explanation sinks in slowly, leaving me reeling.

“What do you mean, ‘anymore’?”

I ask, raising an eyebrow.

“Remember that game of twenty questions?”

Jaxton reminds me. “I told you that we were in a relationship for a while. That someone is Sarah Hearst, my co-star. We have a scene where I have to kiss her. She hasn’t moved on, so she’s still clingy and possessive.”

I roll my eyes, skeptical. Does he really think I’m going to buy this excuse?

“I saw you with her today. No cameras. And that ‘friend’ of hers told me where I could find…”

My words trail off as I consider the possibility. Could they be… real-life mean girls?

Jaxton interrupts my thoughts, his face hardening. “Jamie came to your work? What did she say? Tell me everything.”

His expression shifts to anger, as if he’s piecing together a scheme.

For the first time, I start to question what I saw and what Jamie said. Maybe there’s more to this than I realized.

“Is that Crazy’s name?”

I tilt my head, watching Jaxton as he fumes, exhaling sharply. “She said she came to see the ‘homewrecker’ stealing her friend’s boyfriends. Then she told me, if I didn’t believe her, I could check for myself. She told me where to find you. I drove to the school… and I saw you… kissing her. There were no cameras around.”

I rub my palms over my face as tears cling to my lashes, the memory haunting me.

Jaxton’s fingers gently pinch my chin, lifting my face until our eyes meet. His golden gaze reflects the same devastation that’s tearing through me. His thumb brushes a stray tear from my cheek, catching it before it can trace a path for others to follow.

“I’m an actor, baby. It wasn’t a real kiss. We were practicing the scene one last time before wrapping up. It’s only work, I swear.”

He swallows, resignation shadowing his face as he hesitates, then continues. “This is going to sound crazy, since we’ve not been together long, but… you’re the most important person in our lives. I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you.”

His confession makes my heart jump, but doubt shadows my mind. I want so badly to believe him. But we’ve known each other for weeks, not years.

Seeing the hesitation in my expression, Jaxton’s face hardens with frustration. “I can’t believe they would stoop this low.”

“Are you kidding me?”

Liam growls, anger flashing in his eyes. “We told you months ago to stay away from her, that she was unhinged. It’s part of why we broke up with her.”

He turns back to me, his gaze pleading. “I know this is a lot to process. We wanted to tell you before you found out some other way, like seeing Jaxton in a movie or spotting me or Lennox on a book cover. We wanted you to know us first, without the baggage of who we are in the public eye.”

Wait. Did he just say that he and Lennox model for book covers? As their words sink in, I can only manage a weak, “What?”

A sigh escapes my lungs. “Please don’t mess with me. I don’t think I can take any more today.”

My lower lip quivers.

Liam’s patience snaps, and he pulls me closer, wedging himself further between my legs as he kneels at the side of the bed. “This is why we waited to tell you. Do you know how rare it is to have a connection with someone who doesn’t have ulterior motives? Most people want something from us—status, access to one of our brothers—it’s exhausting. We loved the normality we found with you. But we also know we should have been honest with you sooner.”

He nuzzles against my lap, squeezing my hips gently.

My fingers find their way into his hair, my heart torn. “That’s a lot to take in. But it doesn’t excuse the silence and finding out like this… it hurt.”

Jaxton cups my face, his eyes tender as he tilts my head toward him. “I’m so sorry, Kitten. Hurting you was the last thing I wanted. Please forgive me.”

Liam snuggles closer, a smirk tugging at his lips. “And don’t be mad at me at all. I wanted to tell you after our first date.”

He shoots Jaxton a pointed look. “But after dropping the news about our poly relationship, we worried more might be too much too soon. We didn’t want to scare you off before we had the chance to see where this could go.”

Jaxton rolls his eyes, attempting to lighten the mood. “Are you throwing me under the bus, bro?”

“Whatever it takes to get my girl to forgive me,”

Liam says, his emerald eyes pleading.

I look between them, my suspicion softening. “What else? Are there any other surprises I should know about? Any of you hiding royal titles or something?”

Liam nods. “Right. It’s understandable that you’d question us, but Lenn and I work together, almost inseparable as cover models. Kam was also completely honest. He owns a few restaurants and is a talented chef. Jax is the only one who gets the crazy attention. He’s starred in a few hit films, which has only brought more attention to us and our ex back into the picture.”

Jaxton’s gaze holds mine, steady and sincere. “I should have told you sooner. I let my insecurities get in the way, but I promise full transparency from now on. Please, baby… don’t let this come between us.”

His voice is raw, emotion shining in his golden eyes, and yet a small voice in my mind still whispers with doubt.

Liam’s face turns serious, and he stands up suddenly, holding out a hand. “Let’s go.”

His tone brooks no argument as he pulls me to my feet. “There’s still doubt in those beautiful eyes of yours, and we won’t rest until it’s gone.”

Without hesitation, Jaxton follows his brother’s lead, their determination clear. “Where are we going?”

I ask, feeling my protests weaken as I’m drawn into their conviction.

Instead of giving me an answer, they both quietly spring into action. One kneels to slip soft, worn-in shoes onto my feet, while the other drapes a lightweight sweater around my shoulders, careful not to jostle me. The gentle attention—so thoughtful, so effortless—tugs at something deep inside me. It’s in these small, quiet moments where their love hits the hardest.

Their tenderness disarms me completely, melting away every sharp edge of my exhaustion and lulling me into a fragile peace.

That is—until we reach the car.

The moment my eyes land on it, the spell breaks. Reality slams back into place, sharp and jarring. My feet freeze, my breath catches, and just like that, the haze lifts.

Jaxton just opens the passenger door, waiting expectantly. Crossing my arms, I insist, “I’m not getting in this car until you tell me where we’re going.”

Liam exchanges a meaningful look with Jaxton, silently blaming him. He climbs into the back seat, leaving Jaxton to answer.

Jaxton gives me a quick peck on the lips, his eyes sparking with mischief. “I love it when you get sassy, Kitten, but now’s not the time. We’re going to the set, so I can show you the truth. I’m confronting Sarah and Jamie. They want to mess with you—that’s not happening. I’m going to put an end to it. Now, please, get in the car.”

His words leave me breathless, and despite myself, I slip into the seat.

He closes the door gently behind me and slides into the driver’s seat, speeding us into town.

The movie set is busy, with trailers and tents everywhere, but Jaxton navigates through it all with ease, parking next to a trailer at the far end of the lot. My stomach flips, butterflies running wild at the thought of a confrontation.

“I don’t know if I can do this,”

I admit, twisting my fingers in my lap.

Liam’s hand reaches around my seat, capturing mine and stilling my nervous fidgeting. “There’s nothing to worry about. We’ll do all the talking. We just need you here to know—without a shred of doubt—that we’re serious about you.”

He leans over and brushes his lips against mine, his warm breath calming my nerves.

Jaxton’s hand slides up my thigh, resting at the apex as he gives a reassuring squeeze. “He’s right, baby. Let us handle this. We need to show you how much you mean to us.”

He leans in, his lips brushing across mine, his tongue just grazing my upper lip.

My resolve melts as I nod, lost in the intensity of their presence.

Jaxton pulls back, our foreheads touching as he whispers, “I’m not willing to lose you over this—over her. After today, you can ask us anything, and we’ll answer. Nothing will be off-limits.”

His golden gaze is filled with a promise of unwavering devotion. “Say, okay, Kitten.”

“Okay,”

I whisper, still unsure but willing to believe.

With that, we’re out of the car. Liam strides to the trailer, pounding on the door, his voice unwavering. “Come out here, now!”

he demands, calling Jamie and Sarah out.

The trailer door swings open almost immediately, and both women stand in the doorway, shock plastered on their faces. This is clearly not the reaction they expected when they cooked up this scheme.

“What the hell do you two think you’re doing?”

Jaxton’s booming voice slices through the silence, making both women flinch. They glance at each other, dumbstruck, until Jaxton loses patience and shouts, “Answer me! Why would you send Jamie to tell Avery that you’re still my girlfriend? That I’m supposedly cheating on you? Get over it, Sarah! Cheating is your thing, not mine. Or did you forget?”

“What are you talking about?”

Sarah feigns innocence, her voice soft.

“You know exactly what he’s talking about,”

Liam cuts in, rolling his eyes with irritation. “This is exactly why the rest of us left you in the dust a long time ago.”

Sarah flinches but stays silent. “I have no doubt you put Jamie up to this. And let’s not forget your fling with Grant.”

He pauses, letting the weight of the accusation settle in.

Jaxton’s tone drops to a menacing calm, his voice dripping with finality. “Let me make one thing very clear: I don’t love you. I don’t even like being around you. Leave me and my family alone. And stay away from Avery. If you go near her again, I’ll walk off this movie. I’ll demand a recast. And we both know who they’ll keep.”

He smirks as her eyes widen in panic. Taking my hand, he holds it firmly, his touch trembling slightly with anger.

Sarah’s gaze drops to our linked hands, her eyes narrowing before she draws in a deep breath. “Fine, I’m sorry,”

she says, voice wavering. When she looks up again, there are tears in her eyes, pleading silently with Jaxton. “You have no idea how hard this is for me. Working together brings back all the feelings I still have for you. I thought after… well, after that night we could try again.”

Jaxton shakes his head, looking at her coldly. “I told you that was a mistake. Mixing up the past with meaningless hookups is a bad idea.”

Sarah’s face tightens as she gestures at me. “And her? Look at her. She’s hardly your type.”

“Watch it,”

Liam growls, taking a step forward. The threat in his voice stops her instantly.

Jaxton reinforces the warning. “She’s exactly my type. In fact, she’s exactly our type.”

He swipes a hand through his hair, visibly struggling to keep his temper in check. “This is over. I’m done. I’ll announce it tomorrow. And if anyone asks why, you can tell them it’s because I refuse to work with someone who manipulates people and stirs up drama.”

He pulls me close, moving us toward the car, then pauses and turns back.

“Oh, and one more thing…”

Jaxton cups my jaw and presses his lips to mine, sending a shockwave through my body. Instinctively, I grip his shirt, pulling him closer, entirely forgetting the world around us. The lingering thought that his ex is watching fades as Liam leans in, pressing a kiss to the back of my neck, making my breath hitch.

Jaxton pulls back, brushing soft kisses along my jaw, his forehead resting against mine as he releases a relieved sigh. Meanwhile, Liam’s teeth graze my neck, and I feel myself melting between them, surrendering to the dizzying warmth they create. They’ve erased every doubt, yet reality is sinking in—Jaxton is a movie star, an actual movie star. And he just claimed me in front of his ex. Did he just quit his job? What is happening? I stifle a manic laugh, feeling a whirlwind of panic and disbelief building in my chest.

“Bee, are you okay?”

Liam’s whisper pulls me back to the moment.

Jaxton studies my face, his brows drawn together in concern. “What’re you giggling about?”

My gaze darts back to the trailer door, and another laugh bubbles up before I can stop it. I bury my face in Jaxton’s chest. “This is insane,”

I murmur. “This doesn’t happen in real life.”

I let out another shaky laugh. “I wonder how long they watched before going inside.”

Jaxton strokes my cheek. “I don’t care, as long as she gets the message.”

Liam takes my hand, bringing it up to wrap around his neck as he presses a kiss just below my ear. “Let’s go back to the house,”

he murmurs, and my eyes practically roll back in response.

“Are you really going to quit?”

I ask Jaxton, worry threading through my voice. “I don’t want you to do anything drastic because of me.”

Jaxton and Liam guide me back to the car. As Jaxton drives, he throws me a smile, glancing between me and the road. “I’m not quitting. They’ll probably let her go to keep me once they hear about this. I’m a hot commodity, baby. You don’t know that because you don’t watch a lot of TV or movies, but if you did, you’d know they’d keep me over her.”

“Someone’s a little full of himself,”

I mutter, sarcasm edging my tone as I stare out the window.

Liam barks a laugh, making me jump, and I turn to see him grinning. “Thank you, Bee. Lenn and I have been saying he’s too full of himself and could use a reality check.”

He locks eyes with Jaxton in the rearview mirror, a mischievous glint in his gaze. “Our girl is going to keep you on your toes, brother. You won’t know what hit you, even when you see it coming.”

Jaxton doesn’t look away from the road. Instead, he reaches over and squeezes my thigh, his grip warm and firm. “Keep it up, Kitten, and you’ll find yourself very full.”

His voice is thick with intent.

“Promises, promises,”

I tease, catching his possessive sidelong glance.

“And you,”

he says, glancing in the rearview at his brother, “are supposed to have my back.”

Liam chuckles, leaning back. “I love you, Jax, but Bumblebee is absolutely irresistible. There’s no way I’ll go a day without tasting her sweetness. So, if that means I throw you under the bus? Well, sorry, not sorry.”

He smirks, unbothered by Jaxton’s exaggerated look of betrayal.

Their playful banter helps ease the tension, but I know there are still things we need to address. “When we get home, I think we need to sit down and clear the air on a few things,”

I say, hoping for honesty moving forward.

The rest of the drive is quiet, and once we’re home, Liam hands out drinks in the kitchen while Jaxton turns to me, his face serious. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner. At first, I thought you knew who I was because of the way you looked at me. But then, as we talked, I realized you genuinely had no idea. I loved that—that I could just be myself without the pressure of my public image. Most people see me as my roles, or they want something from me. With you, it was real from the start.”

His voice softens, his eyes holding mine. “What we have is unexpected and powerful. I don’t think… no, I know we can’t be without you. What can I say, I’m in love with you, Kitten.”

He trails off, his words hanging in the air. My heart pounds, his vulnerability wrapping around me. His unspoken promises linger, and despite the craziness of everything, I know I want to be swept up in it.

My knees tremble under the weight of the evening’s intensity, but Liam steadies me by pulling me back against his chest, his fingers spreading possessively over my stomach. Jaxton steps in close, wrapping his arm around my waist, anchoring me between them.

“Are you okay, baby?”

Liam whispers, his breath warm against my neck.

“I’m fine… really.”

But they don’t release me, sensing the tremor in my voice and the wobble in my knees.

Their presence is overwhelming, protective in a way that weakens my resolve to run after the whirlwind of tonight. Instead, doubt bubbles up. “Did you really mean that?”

I look up at Jaxton, his golden eyes intense, like the first spark of sunrise on a dark horizon.

“Every word,”

he whispers.

I glance over my shoulder at Liam, whose green eyes soften as he holds my gaze. “Same, baby. I’m thinking you’re it for me.”

He presses a gentle kiss to my lips, filling the space between us with unspoken words.

A wave of insecurity stabs through me. “You’re both sound of mind, right?”

Liam chuckles, nuzzling my neck, his hips pressing against me. “You’re being silly. Are you sure you’re, okay?”

A wry smile tugs at my lips, making it hard to argue for my sanity. “I don’t want there to be any misunderstandings between us. One hundred percent honesty, or this won’t work.”

Jaxton steps even closer, his expression serious. “Yes, I meant everything I said.”

He pauses, taking a deep breath. “Even when I said I love you.”

His thumb brushes my bottom lip as he studies my face. “Is that what’s on your mind?”

“Yes.”

My voice is soft, trembling with nerves.

His head tilts as he murmurs, “You don’t have to say it back. I know it’s early—insanely early. We’re moving fast, but I don’t want to slow down. I just want you to know how serious I am about us… about you.”

His words send a thrill through me, tying knots in my stomach. “This is unbelievable.”

“Believe it, Bumblebee. You’re ours now.”

Liam trails his nose along my neck, his fingers tracing delicate patterns on my skin, making shivers race down my spine.

“We barely know each other.”

My protest sounds half-hearted even to me, my heart pulsing with a silent agreement.

“That’s not true,”

Jaxton counters, his hands sliding under my shirt, his touch feather-light as he presses his palm against the small of my back, drawing me closer to him. “Just because it hasn’t been long doesn’t mean we don’t know each other.”

“This is insane.”

I mutter again, mostly to reinforce the point.

“You already said that,”

Jax teases, his lips brushing against mine.

“We shouldn’t do this,”

I say, my hands weakly pressing against their chests.

“Yes, we should.”

Jaxton’s soft lips ghost over mine, and the hand pushing him away betrays me, tightening around him instead.

“But… you’re leaving?”

The reality of our situation looms between us.

He nuzzles his nose against mine. “Yes, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have now.”

There’s no delusion here. He’s a movie star, and this is his job. When he finishes this project, they’ll move on, likely to another city, another role. My life is here—my dad, my budding business, the bakery. Still, I’m drawn to the intensity of what we’re building, despite the obstacles. The least I can do is dive in while I have the chance.

“Is it ridiculous of me to say I think I’m falling for both of you, too?”

I barely finish before twin groans of pleasure vibrate from their chests, Jaxton capturing my mouth in a fervent kiss.

For a moment, it’s weightless. We’re wrapped up in a whirlwind, caught between butterflies and disbelief. But as Jaxton’s tongue tangles with mine, Liam’s mouth trails a sensual path along my neck, reality blurs in the best of ways.

Jaxton’s hands find their way to my hips, one gripping the curve of my waist, grounding me, while his other hand tangles in my hair, the tug creating a delicious sting. His lips press firmly against mine, controlling the kiss, his intensity propelling me into another world.

With a growl, Jaxton guides me backwards from the kitchen until the back of my legs hit my bed. He lays me down gently, positioning himself between my thighs, the roughness of his jeans pressing against my core in a friction that sends jolts through me.

“You’re so beautiful,”

he murmurs, his words ghosting over my skin and raising goosebumps along my arms. His lips skim my neck, tracing a warm, wet path. “I need you.”

The growl of his voice vibrates against my sensitive skin, just below my ear.

“Yes.”

The word escapes me in a breathless whimper. I slip my shirt off in eager surrender, my eyes darting around for Liam.

He’s standing nearby, shirtless, his pants hanging loose, revealing a tantalizing hint beneath the fabric. Instinct takes over, and I run my tongue over my lips, reaching for him.

Jaxton’s gaze deepens as his fingers glide across my stomach, his touch branding my skin. I unhook my bra, letting it fall, feeling the cool air harden my nipples. Liam’s eyes darken, and within seconds, his tongue flattens over my pebbled flesh, sucking it into his mouth.

The sensation arcs my back, and a moan slips free, cut short by Jaxton’s mouth crashing against mine. He bites down gently on my bottom lip, his growl rumbling through me. His mouth leaves mine as he trails kisses down my neck, his lips and teeth marking a path down to my navel. Hooking his fingers into the waistband of my pants, he glances up at me through dark lashes, seeking permission.

I lift my hips, letting him slide the fabric down and off. He tosses my pants aside, licking his lips as he looks down at me. “Spread those pretty legs for me, Kitten. Let me see what’s mine.”

The independent part of me scoffs at the idea of belonging to anyone, but my body responds without hesitation, parting for him.

“Damn, baby.”

His eyes drink me in as he removes his shirt, discarding it with mine. His hands grip the underside of my knees, opening me up fully to his view, his nostrils flaring as he takes me in. He dips his head, dragging his tongue slowly along my wet folds, and I buck up into his mouth, feeling the vibration of his growl.

“God, you taste incredible,”

he mutters, his tongue gliding against me as though savoring every inch, his groans of appreciation only heightening my pleasure.

One of my hand’s tangles in Jaxton’s hair, pulling him closer and then pushing him away as overwhelming waves of pleasure pulse from his talented mouth. “Yes. Yes.”

The words spill out as I’m swept away, and I murmur his name, “Jaxton,”

my voice barely a whisper filled with need.

Liam takes advantage of the moment, tapping the head of his arousal against my lips, smearing his wetness like a balm. “Open up, Bee. Let me in.”

I open wider, allowing him to slide in smoothly, brushing the back of my throat on the first thrust. I moan around him, and he groans, pressing himself deeper until my nose meets his pelvis, filling my throat entirely. “You take me so perfectly, baby.”

His hand caresses my throat, his touch both relaxing and arousing as he strokes himself through my skin. He pulls back, his voice firm. “Breathe.”

A gasping exhale escapes, muffled by a moan as my thighs tighten around Jaxton’s head, every nerve ending lit up.

“Come on my tongue, baby. Let me taste you.”

Jax’s rumbling words against my bare skin are all it takes. The climax hits me like a freight train.

A scream tears from my throat. “Oh, my… fuuuck…”

The words trail off as Liam slides back in, beginning a slow rhythm as he moves in and out of my mouth, my hums vibrating along his length as my tongue glides against him.

“That’s it. Such a good girl, taking my cock so well. You’ve earned a reward. You want that, baby? You want Jax to fuck that wet pussy?”

A wanton moan hums against Liam, making his legs shake as he mumbles an unintelligible plea. “Jax, you’d better hurry. Our girl is greedy.”

My legs are still trembling as Jaxton bites, then kisses, the inside of my thigh, crawling up until he cages me in his arms. “You’re so fucking beautiful when you suck cock.”

He cups my face, watching as Liam fills my lips again, then leans down to claim my mouth the moment Liam pulls back, mingling our tastes together.

My hands drift down Jaxton’s chest, finding his belt and making quick work of the buckle. Our eyes remain locked as I slip the leather free and unfasten his pants, reaching inside to wrap my hand around his heated length.

Jax groans deeply, his eyes fluttering shut as his lips part in ecstasy. After a moment, he grips my wrist with a chuckle. “When I come, it’ll be inside you. If you keep that up, I’ll be handing in my man card.”

Liam laughs, tossing a condom onto the bed in front of Jaxton. “Confident, aren’t we?” I joke.

Arrogance radiates from Liam’s smirk as he strokes my cheek. “The second you give us the green light for skin-to-skin, that won’t be needed.”

A flush rises over my cheeks at the thought, drawing another shiver.

Jaxton chuckles, sliding his pants off, his cock springing free, standing proud. “You’re panting already, Kitten.”

He’s right. I am. I want him inside me just as much as I want Liam in my mouth.

Jaxton leans down, capturing my lips in a deep kiss, then rolls the condom on, brushing his tip through my slick folds. My breathing quickens as if I’ve run a marathon, though I’m lying in bed. Every time we’re together feels like the first time.

“Easy, baby. You’re so tight,”

he murmurs against my neck, nipping gently at my ear. “Calm your nerves and let me in. You’ll be melting soon enough.”

A soft sigh escapes as his words relax me, releasing my tension. Jaxton leans back, his eyes locked on mine as he guides himself in, inch by glorious inch. When he’s fully seated, he stills, giving me time to adjust. His size demands patience, no matter how many times we’ve done this.

As he pauses, I undulate beneath him, letting him know I’m ready. “You can move. I’m okay.”

A shiver runs through him, rippling goosebumps along his skin. “Give me a second. You’re tight as hell.”

A surge of satisfaction blooms within me, knowing I have this effect on him. Mischief flutters in the back of my mind, and I clench my inner walls, testing his control.

“Fuuuck.”

His forehead drops to mine, his eyes squeezing shut. He breathes deeply, focusing. When he looks at me again, his gaze is blazing with desire. Tilting my hips, he aligns us perfectly. “Hang on, baby. This first time’s going to be hard and fast. I’ll give you soft and sweet next time—maybe.”

A wicked grin crosses his face as he begins to grind against me.

“Who says I want soft and sweet?”

My question ends with a gasp as he thrusts, hitting that perfect spot deep inside.

“You’re perfect,”

he murmurs against my neck, licking at my pulse as our bodies slide together. He leans back, tightening his grip on my hips and angling me to hit that sensitive spot over and over, quickly spiraling me to the edge. “Come on, Kitten, give me one more. You came on my tongue; now come on my cock.”

His words send me over, fireworks bursting behind my closed lids as I cry out in release. “Yes, that’s it… squeeze me tight.”

His own climax shudders through him, his body tensing as he groans deeply.

As my breathing slows, Liam steps closer, guiding himself back into my mouth. “Take me deep, baby. Let’s hear that bumblebee hum.”

When his soft hair brushes my nose, I swallow around him and hum, my throat tightening as the vibrations rip a series of curses from his lips.

“One more time, Bee… fuck, yes, just like that.”

His release fills my mouth, triggering my reflex to swallow, and he rubs my throat, his touch soothing as he comes down. Moments later, he slips free and bends to kiss me, his mouth tender.

We stay still, letting our breathing even out. Jaxton slips out of me, tying off the condom, then heads to the bathroom, returning with a warm cloth to clean me up. If they were anyone else, this might feel embarrassing, but as he gently wipes me down, embarrassment is the furthest thing from my mind.

“Thank you,”

I whisper, as if speaking louder might disrupt the warmth and intimacy filling the room.

Liam settles against the headboard, tucking me under his chin, pressing a kiss to the top of my head. Jaxton returns, tossing the cloth into the laundry basket, then crawls up beside us, kissing my lips and then brushing them against the tip of my nose.

“You’re absolutely amazing, Avery,”

Jaxton murmurs after settling in beside me.

Liam grunts in agreement, his body already melting into sleep.

A laugh bubbles up from me, fueled by the content exhaustion settling over us. That was, hands down, the best experience I’ve ever had. But a tiny pang twists in my heart as I think about all the people they’ve been with before me, separately and as a group with their brothers. I push the thought aside, not wanting to dampen the moment, and joke, “You’re welcome.”

But the words sound hollow, and I realize I can’t ignore the curiosity swirling in my mind. No secrets between us, right?

“Can I ask you guys something? It’s… personal.”

Jaxton nips my chin, his blond hair falling in a tousled mess over his eyes, though I can still see his lazy, mischievous smirk. “Avery, I can’t speak for Liam, but your pussy is still smeared across my face. Ask me anything.”

A giggle slips free, but before I can lean over to kiss him, Liam tilts my chin back toward him, a smirk playing on his lips. “Bumblebee, can you still taste me on your tongue?”

I nod, and his thumb pulls my bottom lip down, igniting a spark in his green eyes.

“Good. Then ask me anything. I belong to you.”

He pecks my lips softly and then relaxes back against the pillows.

“How… how many people have you slept with? Individually, and… and with Kamden and Lenn?”

The question comes out simply, though I’m bracing myself for whatever answer might follow.

Jaxton chuckles, entwining his fingers with mine and lifting them to his lips. “I don’t mean to laugh, but you shouldn’t be afraid to ask us anything, especially something so reasonable.”

My cheeks warm at his bluntness, and Liam chuckles as he nuzzles my neck from behind. “I’ll be honest—we’ve been with quite a few women. Before we met Sarah, we all partied a lot. Since then? Not as much, for any of us.”

He rakes his hand through his mussed hair. “But listen, I don’t want to get into too many details and ruin tonight. Just know that you’re different. You’re it.”

He trails a finger down my cheek, his gaze watchful, waiting for my reaction.

Liam murmurs quietly, “He’s right, baby.”

He snuggles deeper into my hair, his voice softening as his breath slows with sleep. “Love you,”

he whispers before falling completely silent.

“What?”

I whisper, more in shock than anything.

Jaxton’s expression softens, his eyes meeting mine. “That’s right, Kitten. Our mama always told us that when we met the right person, we’d know. And we know.”

His simple explanation brings a lump to my throat, and my eyes glaze with tears. Jaxton’s gaze is so intense, reaching deep into my soul. “Don’t be upset, baby. I didn’t tell you to upset you.”

I press my palm to his cheek, whispering, “I’m not upset. Not even close.”

He pulls me as close as he can with Liam sound asleep behind me, tucking me under his chin. “I could lie here with you forever and need nothing else in life.”

“Same,”

I murmur, breathing in his scent. He smells so clean, like sun-warmed wood and fresh air. The comfort of being cocooned between them makes my eyelids grow heavy, even though it’s still early.

“Sleep, Kitten. You’re going to need your strength.”

He growls playfully, nipping my ear.

All I manage is an agreeable mumble as warmth and peace lull me into sleep.

Jaxton’s breathing deepens, and his arms tighten protectively around my back. “I love you,”

he whispers.

A soft hum of agreement slips from my lips as I follow him and Liam into sleep.
