Extended Epilogue
“Lily!” Cecilia cried from where she sat. Her dress draped elegantly over the light swell of her stomach, where their newest child resided. “Ian, do go after her. I do not want her running about in the gardens by herself. She might hurt herself.”
Ian chased after the little girl, who squealed in delight as she ran. He allowed her a few minutes of thinking she was evading him, purposefully slowing his speed so that she might make it further. However, once she came up to a hedge slightly too high for her to clamber over, she stopped, and he caught up to her, picking her up and bringing her back to the shade of the tent.
