Chapter 4

4

They certainly weren’t done. Ben and Matt wrung Callie out and left her panting but begging for more. In between bouts of hot sex, they talked, remaining naked with either Matt or Ben holding her like it was the most normal thing in the world. Callie had never thought that this would happen to her. Being naked with one guy was impressive, but both of them?

It was gone midnight by the time they decided to get some sleep, the guys going to their room while Callie went to the bathroom before she spread out on her bed. She lay there and thought about what happened. She could never have comprehended this happening. Ben was flirtatious and cheeky and Matt was quieter but just as naughty with his remarks. He was the shy one of the two, and yet he ended up being more in charge than Ben. The way he commanded the room was a turn-on. Callie couldn’t believe it was happening.

How was she supposed to carry on the rest of the weekend after this? They had two more days of competition, and Callie didn’t think she would be able to look at either of them without remembering how they fucked her hard and made her climax over and over again. It was going to be tough sitting around waiting for her race and seeing those two in their trunks. Now she had seen everything, there wouldn’t be anything left to the imagination.

It was just one night. Callie kept telling herself that. There was no obligation to start a relationship with either of them come morning, and Callie knew that she wouldn’t be able to choose. Matt and Ben were handsome, funny and sweet despite their gutter-type sense of humour, and Callie was attracted to both of them. If either one of them asked her out properly, she would be saying yes.

But she couldn’t pick. How was she able to do that? Especially after what had just happened?

Despite how relaxed her body felt, Callie’s mind was still racing as she fell asleep. Somehow, she managed to sleep pretty well, and when she woke up, she could hear the guys moving around. Their voices were muffled, but they were awake. Callie wanted to get up and see them, but she hesitated. After what happened, she didn’t know what was going to occur, or what she was going to say. Were they going to carry on as normal? Or was something going to change?

Callie didn’t know if she could cope with anything at the moment.

Rolling over, she reached for her phone. She had a few more important things right now.

Her mum was at the house, the kids up and getting ready to go for a walk in one of the national parks. Things sounded relaxed over there, and Callie could feel more tension leaving her body knowing that her mum was in charge. She was still upset about Drew, saying that this couldn’t happen again and Drew needed to stop being so hands-off.

Callie couldn’t agree more.

There was no message from Drew yet. He couldn’t have worked all night. If it was something that happened late in the evening, he should be back at the house, surely? Where was he?

Daisy called just as Callie was sitting up, and Callie answered quickly.

“Hey.”

“Morning. You okay?”

“You could say that.” Callie sighed. “Drew called me last night and said he needed to go into work. He was going to leave the kids alone.”

Daisy sucked in a sharp breath.

“Are you fucking serious? He did that?”

“Yep. Let me know and just left without waiting for Mum to get there. I had to sort things out from this end.” Callie rubbed a hand across her eyes to rub the sleep away. “It was insane. I can’t believe he did that just for a work emergency.”

“Are you sure it was work that he went out for?” Daisy asked.

“That’s what he told me.” Callie frowned. “What do you mean by that?”

“Well, I was out at that Indian restaurant near my place with my parents, and I saw Drew there. He was having dinner with a young woman, and there was a lot of heavy flirting going on, from what I could see across the room. He even leaned over and kissed her.”

Callie looked at her phone, but it hadn’t changed shape. She had really heard all of that.

“Are you saying Drew planned to leave the kids alone for a date? Why would he call me and say all of that?”

“I don’t know. Maybe he didn’t want the kids to say something to you. He arranged childcare, but was so lazy about it.” Daisy sighed heavily. “Whatever the reason, he was very sneaky about it. And I’m guessing he gave you a lot of stress your end.”

“That’s an understatement.” Callie lay back on the bed, feeling the still-warm sheets against her back bed, the cool air drifting across her breasts. It was nice. “I try not to worry about things so much, sure that it’s going to be okay. But then this happens.”

“After hearing that, I can’t blame you for being upset. I’d be mad as well. Has he gotten back yet?”

“Nope. Mum’s still with them. She’s going to distract them until Drew gets back. I think she’ll give him a bigger scolding than I ever could. Drew was always scared of her.”

“Good. At least you can trust her.” Daisy’s voice turned sly. “So, did you manage to calm down? Were Matt and Ben able to help you with that?”

Callie tensed. Why did she get the feeling that Daisy was fishing for something? Even though her friend couldn’t see her, she felt herself blushing.

“What makes you think they helped me?”

“Well, I was wondering if they were able to calm you down in…certain ways.” Daisy giggled. “I’m sure you were pretty calm and relaxed by the end of the night.”

For a second, Callie wondered if Daisy knew something and was just fishing. Then it clicked. She really did know something. She sat up again as realisation dawned.

“You were never that sick, were you?”

“What?”

“You said you were out at the Indian restaurant with your parents, but just yesterday you were saying that you were feeling sick and couldn’t stay too far from a toilet. How could you eat Indian if that was the case?”

“Ah.” Daisy gave a slight nervous chuckle. “Oops.”

“Oops? What’s going on, Daisy? You were looking forward to coming here and competing.”

Daisy sighed in submission.

“Okay, fine. I was genuinely sick, but I got better at the start of the week. However, I stayed away because Ben and Matt came to me and explained that they wanted to do something over the weekend while we were away, and that I might need to plug my ears.”

“They said what?”

“Those two are nuts about you, Callie. You might not have seen it before, but I’ve noticed it for a while. Of course they kept their distance because you were with Drew, but once you were single I heard the two of them talking about it. Both of them have feelings for you, Cal.”

Callie wondered if she was still sleeping. Was Daisy really saying that or was her mind playing tricks?

“Both of them…they…like me?”

“I think it’s a bit more than like,” Daisy laughed. “When they told me that they wanted to do something for you in Cardiff, they originally asked me to give them some space and plug up my ears. But I said it would be easier for me to bow out and say I was sick, which I was. Then it would just be the three of you with nobody getting in the way.”

Callie let this sink in. This had all been planned? How was that even possible? Who would plan something like this?

Ben and Matt. They would absolutely plan something this erotic.

“I’m guessing you did do something with them.” Daisy sounded gleeful. “So, how was it? Was it great?”

Callie thought about denying it, but Daisy would probably get the news from the other two.

“It was great. Fucking amazing, actually.”

“So they did do it!” Daisy squealed.

“They not said anything?”

“Neither of them have a word yet. Partly why I’m calling you now.”

“Charming.” Callie rubbed a hand over her face. “What do I do now, Daisy? It’s the next morning, and I have no idea how I’m going to look them in the eye. What do we do?”

“Oh, Callie!” Daisy sounded like she was enjoying herself. “You’ve got two drop-dead handsome guys wanting you, and you’re worried about looking them in the eye?”

“This isn’t funny, Daisy.”

“It is to me. Sounds like you’ve got your hands full with two hot guys. Of course,” she added quickly, “I’m not into either of them like that. And I certainly couldn’t cope with two guys in bed. Those two can be intense when they want to be.”

Callie knew all about that. She had seen that first-hand. Her body was still tingling everywhere after Ben and Matt had touched her. It felt amazing. She wouldn’t object if it happened again.

But could that work? How would it work in terms of dating? Would they want a relationship with her? And how could she choose which one to date? So many questions were going around in Callie’s head, and it was making her feel nauseous.

“Anyway, I think you need to go and talk to those two,” Daisy went on. “This needs to be sorted, and I know that you three need to talk. None of you are competing this morning, are you?”

“No, we’re going in after an early lunch.”

“Best talk to them now, otherwise there’s going to be some awkwardness. I’m sure they’re waiting for you so you can chat about it.”

“What if it goes wrong?”

Daisy laughed.

“Callie, you’ve just had hot sex with two guys. I have a feeling things are going to go very right for you this weekend. Especially after what happened with Drew.”

“That bastard!”

“Deal with him when you get home. Today is all about you, Ben and Matt. And you’re going to enjoy the results more than that medal you’re guaranteed to get.”

At least Daisy was optimistic. Callie now felt like a bag of nerves.

It didn’t take long to use the bathroom and get dressed. As Callie dragged a brush through her hair, she wondered how this was going to go. She kept trying to figure out a speech in her head, but it didn’t seem to want to stick without sounding like an idiot.

Hopefully, Ben and Matt would be more eloquent than her. Callie knew she was going to be tripping over her words. This was not going to be an easy conversation.

What’s easier to handle? Your conversation with them or your argument with Drew when you get back? He lied to you and tried to leave the kids alone.

Mum will scold him for me. He’ll be too scared to do it again.

If he was having a date, Callie wouldn’t have cared. If he just organised childcare in the meantime, it wouldn’t have been a problem. Or he could have rescheduled it. The kids were the priority. But he had done that instead. Callie hoped that her mum gave him the rough side of her tongue.

Now he wasn’t important. The kids were safe and well. Callie just needed to focus on herself.

She had two men in the house she needed to face.

Checking herself one more time in the mirror, Callie went downstairs. Ben and Matt were in the dining room, talking as they ate their breakfast. Both of them looked up as Callie entered the room. The tension simmered in the room, and it made Callie want to run out of the room again. She managed a smile.

“Hi.”

“You sleep okay?” Matt asked.

“Yeah, I did.”

Matt glanced at Ben with a slight smile.

“At least we managed to do something right.”

“I think we’ve got something else to discuss, though, Matt.”

Ben got up and walked towards Callie. He was wearing jeans and a red t-shirt, both of which fit his body just right. She wanted to reach out and run her hands over him, but she stopped herself. Not a good time.

Ben gave her a smile as he cupped her head in his hands and kissed her, a soft press of lips, but it was enough for Callie to swoon. She gripped his wrists, unsure whether to push him away or pull him closer.

“No regrets about last night?” Ben asked.

It took a moment for Callie to realise he had stopped kissing her. She opened her eyes and saw that Ben was looking at her. She bit her lip.

“I don’t regret last night,” she said.

“But you’re worrying about it now, aren’t you?”

“Am I that obvious?”

Ben kissed her forehead and put his arms around her. He had never done this before; Ben was one of those people who didn’t really like physical affection, which was a running joke with his family. So for him to do this was surprising, and Callie was not complaining.

“You’re concerned that this could affect all of us, aren’t you? How should we move forward and the like?”

“Pretty much,” Callie admitted. She looked at Matt, who was still seated. “I just spoke to Daisy. She told me what you two had planned, and how she pretended to be more sick than she was.”

“That’s not a surprise,” Matt replied. “Daisy said she would be itching to know the details afterwards.”

That was expected. Daisy did love something juicy to get her teeth into. And knowing her friend had been fucked by two guys while alone would certainly be something she would love to hear about. Daisy looked back at Ben.

“She said you two both had feelings for me. How long has this been going on for?”

Ben glanced at Matt, who shrugged.

“You go first. You’re the one who approached me about this.”

“Okay.” Ben slowly released Callie and leaned on the dining table. For the first time since Callie had known him, he looked unsure of himself. “I’ve had a thing for you for a while, Callie. Pretty much since we met.”

Callie’s mouth dropped open.

“That was five years ago. You’ve fancied me for that long?”

“Yes. I felt uncomfortable about it, both because you were with someone and also because I’m a lot older than you.”

“Thirteen years isn’t that bad,” Callie reminded him. “I never saw that as an issue. You should have figured that out.”

Ben winced. He rubbed the back of his neck.

“Well, you were still with Drew. When you broke up with him, I was thinking that I would wait a while and then ask you out for a drink and go from there.” He gestured at Matt. “But then I was talking to Matt at Christmas, and he ended up telling me that he liked you as well.”

“The look on Ben’ face was amusing and scary at the same time,” Matt carried on for him, giving Ben a bemused look. “I thought he was going to launch himself across the table at me. Once we calmed down and talked it through, we knew that we couldn’t back down for the other, or even have both of us step back altogether.”

Callie looked from Matt to Ben and back again.

“You would have fought over me? I’m not anything special.”

“That’s what you’re wrong, Callie.” Matt sat forward. “You’re gorgeous. You might not think that, but you are. You’re generous, kind and very sweet. You have a wicked sense of humour, and talking to you is incredibly easy. Even under your insecurities, there is a very sexy woman there, and I just love seeing you smile at me. I came into the club, and I really wished that you weren’t in a relationship. That’s not something I normally decide on a whim, but things went out the window when it came to you.”

Callie didn’t know what to say to that. She had never heard any of this from either of them. How was it possible that she had two guys crushing on her? She swallowed.

“You both had feelings for me all this time?”

“Yes,” Ben answered.

“And you…what? You wanted to share me or something?”

“Not originally. Neither of us were willing to back down.” Ben glanced at Matt, who was standing up. “Then the more we talked, the idea of having a threesome came up. We didn’t want to fight over you, but the thought of sharing you between us sounded more and more erotic.”

Callie folded her arms.

“I seem to recall you saying you would never do any threesomes with another guy. You said it was weird.”

Ben’ mouth twitched.

“And I remember you telling me there were more than just one position with a threesome, so we came up with a few. Plus, I was willing to do it with you.”

“We aren’t expecting an answer from you regarding anything, Callie.” Matt approached her, his hand touching the back of her neck. His hand was warm, and Callie leaned into it. “If this ends up being a one-off thing, we can leave it at that. We’re all grownups, after all.”

“And if it doesn’t?”

Matt hesitated. Ben looked equally nervous. He cleared his throat.

“Then whoever you don’t choose to be with will respect your decision and step back. We won’t make it uncomfortable for you.”

“You would be willing to do that?” Callie asked.

“Not willingly, but whatever you wanted. That’s what we care about.”

Callie stared up at Matt.

“You think the same thing?”

“Yes.” Matt nodded. “Whatever you want, Callie. It’s always been about you.”

When she was younger and in university, Callie had really struggled to find guys who were attracted to her. They gave her a wide berth, and it really knocked her confidence. Now she had two guys who were attracted and actually wanted her? It was making her head spin.

One of them would step away if she chose the other? Callie couldn’t do that.

Making up her mind, Callie tugged Matt’s head down and kissed him. Matt started, but then he kissed her back. She pulled away before he could grab at her, and she looked at Ben. He looked downcast, pushing himself off the table.

“So, I guess the old man here has lost,” he muttered.

“Don’t you dare.” Callie went to him. “Don’t call yourself an old man again.”

She grabbed his head and kissed him. Ben froze, and for a second it seemed like he was going to push her away. But then his arms tightened around her, and Callie tried not to sink into the embrace as his mouth devoured hers. She managed to break the kiss, turning in his arms to face Matt, who looked bewildered.

“I can’t choose,” Callie admitted. “Please don’t make me choose, because I don’t want to.”

Matt raised his eyebrows.

“So that means…?”

“I know it’s unconventional, and I have no idea how we’re going to work it out, but I want to be with both of you. And not just for a couple of romps in bed.” Callie felt her cheeks getting warm, but she ploughed on. “I have feelings for both of you. Choosing would be incredibly difficult. Please, don’t ask me to choose, because that would be one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life.”

For a moment, neither of them said anything. Then Matt stepped towards her and kissed her softly, turning her head so Ben could kiss her as well.

“I’m sure we can work it out,” Matt said. “We’re all adults, after all?”

“Very horny adults,” Ben growled, shifting against Callie.

She felt his erection pressing against her hip, and she grinned, kissing his jaw.

“You’re always horny, aren’t you?”

“When you’re around, absolutely.” Ben looked at Matt. “How long until we’ve got to get ready to leave?”

“About three hours, at the minimum. If you want us to eat before we go.”

“Three hours.” Ben’ grin was devilish. “I think we can get plenty done in three hours. We can consider this our warmup, if you like.”

Callie didn’t need to guess what he was talking about. She giggled.

“Don’t use up too much stamina. You won’t be able to swim later if you do.”

“You let us worry about you.” Matt leaned in and kissed her neck. “After all, we still need to find how to make you tap out.”

Callie laughed, which was silenced by Matt’s mouth as Ben slid his hands under her t-shirt. This was certainly one way to warm up for a race. And three of them were going to be winning regardless.
