Chapter 7

Yasmine
I could count on one hand the number of times Kaden had come home early in the past four years. He didn’t know that I knew that sometimes, if he finished his liaison early, he’d hang at all-night cafés. I certainly wasn’t going to tell him I tracked his phone. Likely because I didn’t want to know if he tracked mine. We’d exchanged that feature when we’d first started touring. Had seemed like a good idea at the time. Especially when we found ourselves in strange cities.
“I asked what the fuck is going on.”
Out of a sense of self-preservation, I released my hold of Nick’s smooth and hard cock. He’d only been a little interested until I’d taken him in hand. Oh, he liked my touch. And I’d very much been looking forward to seeing what he could do with his callused, rough hands. My nipples and clit felt particularly neglected right now. I met Kaden’s glare. “I think even you understand what happens when two people get naked together.”
Nick met my gaze before rolling over to face Kaden. “You can stay. You’re welcome to watch—if you can be civil. You’re welcome to participate—if you play nice. You’re also free to leave and come back when Yasmine texts you that she’s ready for you.”
Kaden’s rage was incandescent. His bright-red cheeks reminded me of when he blew his top. Not often. For all his artistic temperament , he was actually a focused and dedicated artist. His blowup with Nick the other day had to do with safety. Specifically mine. He put me first. Always.
And I did the same for him. Except tonight I wanted to be selfish. I wanted to see if I could make magic with Nick. “Stay or go, Kaden. Make up your mind.” A bold move on my part.
He held my gaze, his dark-brown eyes blazing fire. “I want him to leave.”
I hopped out of bed and stomped over to him. Not particularly effective given the plush carpeting. Still, I did my best. I stepped into his space. “How many other men and women, Kaden? Eh? And I’ve never complained. Never once asked you to stay home. Even when I was sick, I said go .”
“You said you didn’t want me to get sick as well.”
I rolled my eyes. “Of course I was going to say that—and I meant it. But I also wanted someone to make me chicken soup and read me books. I wasn’t begging then and I won’t beg now.” I pointed to Nick. “But I’m going to enjoy my night. So stay or go. Watch or participate. Just…” I shivered. “Maybe let me get back to what I was doing?”
He continued to glare.
Hold your ground .
The sheets rustled and a moment later Nick’s body heat scorched my skin—even though we weren’t touching.
My body reacted to his proximity. As it always seemed to.
I was also equally attuned to Kaden and his feelings. Anger radiated from his every pore.
Nick pressed against my back, his impressive erection pressing against my ass. He nuzzled my neck as he slid one hand up to cup my breast.
My nipple hardened immediately.
He slid his other hand lower. “Spread your legs, chère.”
I obeyed.
He eased his hand between my thighs, delved into my slick folds, and unerringly found my clit. He rubbed it.
I held Kaden’s gaze, even as I wanted to throw my head back in ecstasy. Suspecting Nick would be a talented lover, and actually being exposed to the reality, were two very different things.
Kaden growled.
Unbidden, a smile crossed my lips.
“He’s taking what’s mine.”
“You wanted an open relationship, Kaden. This is what that looks like.”
Nick squeezed my nipple.
My insides clenched. “Look, if I’m not fucked in the next five minutes, I’m going to combust. Who’s up for the job?” Only part of me was bluffing. If Nick maintained his sensual assault on my body, I would likely orgasm soon. As much as I enjoyed intercourse, I’d settle for a good climax. Especially if I was watching my boyfriend lose his shit in the process. Apparently I was a touch sadistic.
Kaden palmed his crotch. Whether because he was growing hard, or to show he wanted the job, I wasn’t certain.
“I’ll make love to you, chère.” Nick bit my earlobe. “I think you need to be treasured. To be cared for.”
He tilted his head and, from the angle, I knew he was meeting Kaden’s glare.
“To be cherished.”
Another growl from my boyfriend.
My insides danced. I’d never have predicted this situation—nor my reaction to it. I liked making Kaden jealous. This was a side of myself I’d never seen before.
And a side of him I’ve never considered.
“I stay.” Kaden met my gaze before glaring at Nick. “And if you hurt her?—”
“I won’t.” Nick’s low voice carried sure and steady. “I have never, nor will I ever, hurt a woman.” He nuzzled my ear. “Unless she asks me to.” That tidbit of information was clearly for me—and me alone.
Butterflies exploded in my stomach. He’d hinted at more. At pain, pleasure, and so many other options.
I angled my head back to press a kiss to his ear. “I’m going to hold you to that.”
“What are you saying?” Kaden’s voice bit.
“That I should tie you to the chair while you watch.” Nick grinned. “And maybe gag you so you can’t interfere.” His expression turned thoughtful. “But you like to be top dog. I suspect you’re going to want to be the maestro of this orchestra.”
Kaden grunted.
This time, I grinned.
Oh, this is going to be fun.
