24 - My Best Friends Ex #3

He ordered me a drink, and I leaned forward.

He made no attempt to hide the fact that he was appreciating my cleavage.

There was nothing seedy about it, though.

It felt as though he had earned it. After all, he had specifically requested it, so why should I have been surprised?

I wanted to please him. I wanted to arouse him …

“I’m glad we’re finally doing this. It’s been great chatting with you online, but there is something about being with each other in person that’s different,” he said.

“Yeah, there is. I’m glad we’re doing this, too … Although … I didn’t tell Becky,” I confessed.

Connor leaned forward and placed his hand on mine. “Becky and I are in the past. We can’t be lost to what happened.”

“I know that. I just … she is my best friend. I’d feel bad if you did anything to hurt her.”

“I didn’t.” He smiled. “Trust me.”

We spoke about other things after that. He asked me about my job.

I asked him about his hobbies. We laughed and relaxed together, but always there was this undercurrent of desire that spiked the air, and this feeling that I was doing something wrong.

I hated things being hidden from me, and I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to fully give myself to the moment unless I knew what happened between him and Becky.

There were rules, after all, and I didn’t want Becky to think I was a bitch for going out with an ex who had treated her poorly.

We ended up leaving the bar near closing. We leaned against each other, supporting each other with our body weight. It felt nice to have him close to me. It felt right. I found his warmth intoxicating. It cut through the chill of the night. I didn’t want to leave his presence.

Then, suddenly, he pushed me against a wall.

All the breath rushed out of my lungs as my toes curled, and I was lifted off the ground.

I was pressed between the hard wall and his hard body, and I was being flooded by waves of arousal.

His lips were hot and scorched with the taste of wine, and the kiss ran deep within me.

It stirred my blood and my soul. Our tongues danced, writhing together as I hoped our bodies would.

His hands were strong, resting against my waist. One of them reached up and ran through my hair, the silky threads rippling through his fingers.

I wrapped my hands around his neck, feeling his strong, broad shoulders. The sheer power of the man thrummed through him as though he were an engine.

I was overwhelmed with the force of the arousal. It stormed within me and sent my soul aflame. It was as though the world was new to me, as though I had never truly lived before, but there was still something gnawing in the back of my mind.

I pulled away from him, my chest heaving as I breathed in heavy gulps of air. “Wait, Connor, wait,” I whispered. “I can’t do this. I need to know that it’s okay. I need to know that nothing bad happened between you and Becky,” I said.

Connor pulled back. Anger flared within his eyes, although it was more of frustration than of rage.

“Okay, Angie, you really can’t let this go? Fine, I’ll tell you, but don’t let this ever get back to Becky, all right? You have to keep this a secret because, if she would have wanted you to know, then she would have told you. It’s not the kind of thing you share, even with your best friend.”

“What is it?” I asked, wondering what could have been so important that Becky would never have told me.

Connor shifted his position so that he was leaning against the wall beside me, looking up at the fading stars.

“Becky and I didn’t have a … normal relationship.

There are some desires people have that go against the grain, and people would judge you if they ever found out.

I don’t know how much you know about this stuff, but I’m a Dom, and she was my sub. ”

“Oh,” I squeaked. I had heard of things like this. I’d read about them and always been intrigued, but I didn’t know people actually did that stuff.

“Anyway, things were going great for a while, but then I think she just lost the thrill for it. I guess, for her, it was something she wanted to try, but not something she wanted as a lifestyle. She started wanting to pull back and wanted something more vanilla, but I still wanted to go ahead with it. It just came to a point where neither were getting what we wanted, so it became the natural point to end it.”

“Oh … I see.”

“So, there’s really nothing you have to worry about if you’re afraid of upsetting Becky. She was the one who decided the relationship had run its course. You don’t have to be guilty,” he said.

I wasn’t feeling guilty any longer, but now that he had revealed, this there were other questions on my mind. I was reeling from all that he had told me, but I wasn’t scared. I was intrigued.

“So, you’re looking for a new sub then?” I asked, my voice wavering.

“That would be ideal,” he said.

“And what does …? What does that entail?”

“Well, it depends on the person, really. Some people only like doing that stuff during sex, some people like it as a lifestyle. You know, giving up control. They like being told what to wear, have guidance on things like meals and what they should do with their time and everything.”

“And that’s the kind of thing that appeals to you?” The words almost caught in my throat.

He paused for a moment and glanced at me. “Yeah.”

I fell silent. It felt as though I was on the brink of something incredible, of something that was going to change my life. I knew there was a reason why I had always been drawn to Connor. This must have been it. But, was I brave enough to take that chance?

“Have you ever thought about anything like that?” he asked.

“I … I’ve never really had much experience with relationships. None of them have ever seemed right, as though they were missing something. Maybe this is what I’ve been missing. I’ve read a few things about it, and it has always appealed to me.”

“Well, part of the appeal for me is also teaching a person what they like and what they get aroused by. I have a feeling that you have a lot to learn, too. I was surprised when we were chatting yesterday that you don’t own any toys.

I thought every woman had some gear to help them when no man can,” he said.

I turned away, a little embarrassed. “I guess I … I’ve never been brave enough to order anything. There are so many. I don’t know where to start.”

He caressed my cheek with his finger and tilted my head up to look at him. “Maybe I can help you. Would you like that?”

I gazed at him and felt myself shrug off a lifetime of fear. “Yes, I would.”

He then leaned in, so close that I could feel his breath tickle my ear. “You mean ‘yes, I would, Sir.’”

My heart skipped a beat, In that moment, I knew I was gone.

It didn’t take long for him to invite me back to his house. At this point, I didn’t know whether there was a difference between an invitation and an order.

On the way, he told me about some of the finer points of the lifestyle. I never realized how in depth it was, but I felt sure that I had a good teacher. He knew so much, and he must have been practiced.
