26 | no more lies

Sinfully later, William was finally reaching his peak. Merciless as he was, he had withdrawn every time he had been close to coming and given me head instead. By now, I had lost count of the number of orgasms I’d had.

This was reclaiming, and it was fucking intense.

In our current position, he was holding me up against the headboard of my bed so that I was essentially seated against it. With his hands under my thighs, he held my legs in place around his waist. Between them he was kneeling, charging savagely in and out of me. Our bodies were damp with sweat as I crouched over his broad shoulder, close to fainting. I couldn’t make so much as a sound anymore. I was completely sapped after my streak of countless, mind-blowing orgasms. All I wanted was for him to finally allow himself to come.

‘Ah,’ he groaned. Burying his hand in my hair, he tugged my head back. My eyes were barely open as I watched him, saw how his square jaw clenched while his features twisted with carnal pleasure. His pupils were dilated as he ground his teeth and stared intensely at me.

He was close.

Just as he performed his hardest and deepest thrust yet, he placed his mouth on mine and kissed me fervently. Shocked by the fulfilment of such a powerful shove, I whimpered against his lips and clawed down his back.

‘Please,’ I begged, out of breath.

A crooked smile crossed his lips as he slowed his thrusts but increased their force.

‘Nearly there,’ he consoled me, and then he kissed me again.

One hard thrust. Another. Another again.

‘Fuck, Cara, I love how you feel. I want to fuck you for eternity.’

Pulling me away from the headboard, he laid me down on the bed without withdrawing. As he put his forearms on either side of my head, I stared up at his striking beauty and gulped, momentarily overwhelmed by the sheer view of him. His eyes softened as they locked with mine, and a gentle smile took over his mouth. Clasping my jaw, he kissed me as though he were running out of air and I was oxygen.

Gently, he withdrew from within me only to push forward again, but fast this time. He moaned against my lips, and I knew from the sound that he was finally reaching it.

Retreating again, he pushed a little harder into me, sliding further and further until he reached the very end of me. Fuck, he reached deep. He lingered there, his kiss growing harder against my mouth before he groaned once more and repeated his thrust one more time.

Finally, he stilled, and a smile formed on his mouth as he pushed himself up.

‘You okay?’ he asked hoarsely.

I huffed out a loud breath, utterly destroyed.

‘I’m dead,’ I whispered. It was all I could manage. My sore vagina was pulsating as though my heart had relocated to it.

He chuckled. ‘Sorry, but you’ve got yourself to blame. You’re irresistible, and I love watching you come.’

I shook my head and wondered if this was what it was going to be like – crazy sessions every time we got down to business. Would I survive a relationship like that?

‘You’re inhuman,’ I said.

Grinning, he withdrew from within me. Then he froze, his smile fading while his eyes widened. A look of panic crossed his face.

‘What is it?’ I asked, my stomach tying in a knot.

He leaned back and steered his gaze to his dick. ‘Shit. The condom’s broken.’

My lips parted. ‘What?’ I looked at his dick, and indeed, the condom had ruptured. It was barely on him anymore, and it looked as if it had burst at the top. ‘Didn’t you feel anything?’

‘I ... ’ His face crinkled. ‘For a moment I felt a slight change in sensation, but I thought I was just nearing the edge. I’m sorry, I – it’s been so long since I’ve had sex. I didn’t realise—’ He stopped short and met my eyes, his features spilling with self-reproach.

I swallowed, trying to remain calm. ‘Are you clean?’

‘Yes.’

‘Are you sure?’

‘Yes. I took a test shortly after I ended things with Vi and Francesca, and I haven’t been with anyone since then.’

I sighed with relief.

‘Are you?’ he asked, his eyebrows furrowing.

‘I should be,’ I said. ‘I mean, I’ve only slept with Aaron without a condom, and he’s supposed to use protection whenever he sleeps with anyone else. He’s never given me anything before, so I trust he’s been careful about that.’

‘When did you last get tested?’

‘After I’d slept with you. Result came out clean, and you’re my most recent one-night stand. I doubt Aaron has given me anything in the meantime.’

He blinked. ‘ I’m your most recent one-night stand?’

I frowned. ‘You sound surprised. Is that so hard to believe?’

‘No.’ The corner of his mouth curled up briefly. ‘But for some reason I find that fact rather flattering. I feel special.’

I repressed a smile. ‘You are special. But you know, frankly, I’m the one who should be surprised between us. Last time we had sex, you said you only had one partner. Was that Violet?’

‘Yeah.’

‘So Francesca came after that?’

‘Sort of.’

I tilted my head. ‘Elaborate.’

He sighed. ‘Francesca and I were undefined at the time. There was always a question over whether we’d meet again. Violet was a stable, regular thing.’

‘Right.’

‘Anyway, are you on contraceptives?’

I nodded. ‘I’ve got an IUD.’

‘Right. No need to worry, then.’ He pulled the broken condom off his dick. ‘Have you got a bin in here? ’

‘Under the desk.’

He climbed out of the bed.

‘Bloody hate these,’ I heard him say in an undertone as he discarded the condom.

I chuckled. ‘Are you trying to say that you’d prefer not to use a condom when we have sex?’

‘Heard that, did you?’ Facing me again, he rubbed the back of his head. ‘Not really – unless you’re comfortable with it.’

I shrugged. ‘I am if we’re exclusive.’

His eyebrows jumped. ‘Oh, we are most definitely exclusive if I have any say.’

I bit my lower lip, smiling. ‘No more condoms, then.’

‘Great.’ He smiled back. ‘But I’d still appreciate it if you took a test, just to be sure. I realise the chances are slim, but...if you happen to have anything, it’s better we pick up on it sooner rather than later in terms of getting treated.’

I nodded. ‘Yeah, you’re right. I’ll get myself checked later this week.’

His eyes glimmered with affection. ‘Thanks.’

Moseying over, he climbed into the bed again and lay down on his side, facing me. Taking my hand, he raised it to his mouth and kissed the back of it.

I stared at him, mesmerised by the chemistry we shared. I had been so blind, but he had pierced the darkness like a star upon the sky. While I was trepidatious about what awaited me, I trusted him completely to be my guiding light. There was no other man I would follow into the unknown – only him.

Moving closer, I kissed his lips and rubbed my nose against his. I couldn’t remember having felt so content before.

We lay there in silence for a while, caressing each other. My eyes flickered around the room as I basked in the delight of our reunion. Eventually I stole a glance at William, and I noticed that he was looking at my wardrobe – the one he had helped me build. It seemed so long ago now.

‘No more lies, Cara,’ he suddenly said.

My heart skipped a beat and my eyes flitted to his face. His lips were set in a straight, sober line, and his brows were corrugated in a frown.

My face crinkled. ‘I promise,’ I said quietly and squeezed his hand.

‘If you lie to me again, about anything, that’s it – it’s over.’ His tone was so strict that I gulped .

‘I promise,’ I said again, my heart racing.

Retrieving his hand from my grip, he laid it on my cheek and kissed my lips. ‘I know your heart was in the right place, but when you told me that lie last night – in fact, whenever you lie, you’re depriving me of the chance to make the best decisions for myself. You’re choosing for me and, frankly, that offends me. Do you have such little faith in my ability to think for myself?’

My breath hitched in my throat. I hadn’t thought of it that way. ‘No, not at all. As I’ve said, I just didn’t want you to worry.’

‘I would have worried,’ he said, his face grave. ‘But I would have decided to trust you all the same.’

Unbidden tears clouded my vision. I hadn’t expected to get so emotional, but I was awfully ashamed of myself. ‘I won’t do it again – ever,’ I said, my voice brittle. ‘I truly am so sorry.’

‘You’re forgiven, don’t worry. I just wanted to make it clear that I won’t tolerate it happening again.’ He leaned in and left a slow, tender kiss on my mouth.

‘I need a shower,’ he said as he pulled away. ‘And so do you. We’re covered in sweat.’

Sighing, I gazed down the length of my body. He was right. It looked like we had been in a steam room.

‘You go first. I can’t move yet,’ I said and closed my eyes. I was going to be terribly sore tomorrow. He was abnormally large, and he had been at me for ages. I already dreaded having to sit. As if I required a reminder of him ... Lately, he was all I thought about, and now I wouldn’t be able to sit anywhere without feeling his phantom cock within me.

‘Why are you blushing?’ he asked then.

I looked at him. ‘Because I’m not looking forward to sitting tomorrow.’

He laughed wholeheartedly, his eyes gleaming with mirth. For a moment, he looked years younger than he was.

‘Might as well get used to it,’ he said as he pushed himself up and moved out of the bed.

When he opened the door, the music pounded into the room.

‘Jason!’ he shouted. ‘Turn down the bloody music!’

‘Finally!’ Jason roared back. ‘Took you long enough! Jesus Christ, man! How long do you last?’

The music stopped.

‘Why? You jealous of my stamina?’ William replied, poking his head out the door .

‘Piss off.’

‘Unless you want to see my cock, you should look away. I need a shower.’

‘Fucking animal,’ Jason muttered. ‘Is she even still alive in there?’

‘Barely,’ William said as he headed into the bathroom, audibly smug.

I giggled at the sound of them. They were definitely siblings.

William had been gone for a few minutes when Jason announced his approach. ‘Incoming.’

I dragged the duvet over myself and faced the door. Reaching the doorway, Jason leaned against the doorpost and folded his arms. A look of great amusement covered his face as he scanned my lazy figure.

‘Are you hungry?’ he asked. ‘I saw you’d started on an omelette, so I finished cooking it.’

‘Aw, thanks, but I was making it for Will. I’m sure he’s starving.’

‘William!’ he shouted.

‘Yeah!’

‘Are you hungry?’

‘Famished!’

‘Shall I order sushi for dinner?’

I heard laughter coming from the shower before it was switched off. Opening the door, William said, ‘Go ahead. Why not move to Japan, Jase?’

‘I’d love to.’

‘I’d love it if you did too.’

Jason frowned in his direction. ‘Cunt.’

Chuckling, I stretched my arms. ‘What time is it?’

‘Nearly three.’

I gasped. We had been at it for ages! ‘Oh my God.’

‘Yeah.’ Jason nodded, seeming to have heard my thoughts. ‘I thought you’d never finish.’

Heat mounted in my face. ‘I’m so sorry.’

He tipped his head from side to side. ‘Was a bit of a shock waking up to that. Then again, I might as well get used to it. Next time, I’ll use my headphones. Unfortunately for me, they were out of battery this time around. So, if we receive complaints from the neighbours, it’s on your shoulders, because there wasn’t a chance I was going to listen to that.’

‘Yeah. I accept full responsibility.’

He chuckled. ‘Anyway, I’m happy for you.’

My heart tingled .

‘Cara, I’m done using the bathroom,’ William said then.

‘Right.’ I sighed. ‘Unless you want to see me naked, close the door,’ I said to Jason.

He scoffed. ‘As if I haven’t seen you naked countless times before. Guess you dating my brother changes things, though,’ he said amusedly and shut the door between us.

‘You’ve seen her naked?’ William asked, sounding appalled.

‘Cry me a fucking river, Will,’ Jason replied, his voice flat.

‘How did this happen?’

‘Skinny dipping. Next time we’ll do it in your tears.’

That made William laugh.

As I was climbing out of the bed, he opened the door.

‘Are you busy on Friday?’ he asked.

I frowned, thinking. ‘I don’t think so, why?’

‘I’d like to take you out to dinner.’

A big smile lit up my face. Buzzing with excitement, I felt as though my insides were melting into a gooey mess. ‘Oh. Then yes, I am busy on Friday – busy spending time with you.’

He chuckled. ‘Great.’

‘Will you stay the night today?’ I asked, and my question appeared to take him by surprise.

‘Would you prefer it?’

‘Yes.’

He nodded. ‘Then of course. But I haven’t got any clothes here, so I’ll have to leave earlier in the morning to fetch my things before work.’

I hesitated. ‘I’d hate to inconvenience you.’

He shook his head. ‘I’m an early riser.’

‘Are you sure?’

‘Yes. I’d love to stay the night –really.’

I smiled. ‘All right, then.’

‘That’ll be the third night in a row,’ he remarked with a grin. ‘I’m obviously doing something right.’

I laughed. ‘You really are.’

Live at the Apollo was on the television while William, Jason and I slouched on the sofa as we recovered from our food coma. Jason’s favourite comedian was on stage, and I suspected he was William’s too after hearing him guffaw several times. I had always found their favourite comedian rather hilarious myself, and the chance to laugh was exhilarating after all the chaos of the weekend.

Unfortunately, my good mood was interrupted when Olivia sent me a text, asking how things had panned out with Aaron last night. I huffed as I started typing a wall of text to explain the situation, and how I hadn’t heard a word from him since last night. It evoked the memory of how wounded Aaron had looked, and it made me squirm against William’s side, as I lay cuddled up between him and Jason.

William cast me a worried glance, his arm tightening around me. ‘You all right?’

‘Yeah, sorry.’

His eyes homed in on my screen, and when he saw the wall of text I was writing to Olivia, his eyes noticeably widened. ‘Wow. If I were you, I’d open with telling them to have a seat.’

I pressed my lips together, slightly amused by his joke. ‘She’ll want all the details.’

‘Who? And of what?’

‘Livy. I’m explaining what happened last night.’

His lips twitched. ‘Right.’

I focused on my text again, picking up where I had left off. William could definitely read everything I wrote, but I didn’t care to keep my screen out of his sight, because I had nothing to hide. Nevertheless, I was surprised that I didn’t sense him trying to spy on my screen even once after that. He must have been curious, but he seemed to respect my privacy too much to do such a thing.

Olivia was quick to reply after I had sent the message.

Oh wow. I am so, so sorry, Cara. I don’t even know what to say. That did NOT go according to plan...

Do you think I should send him a message?

It can’t hurt. I would have

I’ll do it rn. Will you let me know if he reaches out to you?

Ofc. I doubt he will tho – not before he’s talked to you. I mean, he knows we’re best friends, so I don’t think I’m the one he’d choose to confide in about thi s

Yeah, true.

Sighing, I scrolled down in my messages app to find my thread with Aaron. As I opened it, I wondered what to write. We had never fought before, so I had no idea what to expect. Would he reply at all? I couldn’t guess what his thoughts were, but I hoped he would find it within himself to forgive me. After all, the only reason I hadn’t told him about my liaison with William was that it was part of our agreement. Surely he had to see that.

I’m sorry about last night. I really am. Call me when you’re ready to talk, yeah? x

My hand was shaking as I pressed Send, and my heart did a flip when the app informed me that the message had been delivered. I hoped with all my heart that he would reply soon, because I couldn’t stand this silence between us. He was one of my best friends, and our argument made me more anxious than I could bear. I hated the possibility that I might have ruined our friendship.

‘Right, Will,’ Jason suddenly said as he leaned forward and poured himself a glass of water. ‘This is going to sound really odd, but after hearing about your performance in bed from Cara, and witnessing the duration of it first-hand, I have got to know – how the hell are you able to last that long?’

I was grateful he asked while I was present, because I was curious to know too. Smiling with some amusement, I looked at William to see his reaction. He grinned from ear to ear.

‘Why, are you a three-pump man, Jase?’

I rarely saw Jason blush, but his face turned completely pink.

‘No, but I’m not a perpetual-pump man either.’

William shook against me, trying to stifle his laughter.

‘Come on, Will,’ Jason prompted. ‘What’s your secret?’

‘What, aside from rubbing one out beforehand?’

I gasped. ‘You did that today?’

He chuckled. ‘No, not today.’

‘Then there’s clearly more to it,’ Jason said and scrutinised William. ‘Come on, then. Spill it. Help a man out.’

‘I want to know too,’ I said.

William wrinkled his nose. ‘I’ll probably sound insane.’

‘We already know you are,’ Jason said amusedly.

William smiled crookedly. ‘Well, there are a few things you can do – aside from rubbing one out beforehand, that is. Personally, I find it helpful to pull out every time I’m close to coming and proceed with going down on her instead. Then, once my arousal recedes somewhat, I carry on. You can also try squeezing the head of your penis if you feel like you’re about to ejaculate. Sometimes that postpones it. There’s one more thing I tend to do, though, which I doubt most men do in general, but it certainly helps my endurance overall.’

‘And what’s that?’ Jason asked.

‘Kegel exercises.’

I tittered. ‘Kegel exercises? I thought only women did that?’

Condescension was written across the arch of William’s brow when he looked at me. ‘That’s stupid. They’re a great exercise for men too. They can help treat several problems, like erectile dysfunction, overactive bladder, premature ejaculation, the list goes on.’ He looked back at Jason’s gawk. ‘But this requires that you do it frequently, which I do. Consistency is key here.’

Jason shook his head, looking impressed. ‘Cara, you ought to appreciate his dedication.’

‘I do,’ I squeaked embarrassedly.

‘Well, then. Cat’s out of the bag,’ William said with a grin. ‘Happy wanking, Jason.’

‘Fucking hell.’

‘Do you guys talk about everything with each other?’ I asked. ‘I hardly ever talk to my sister about sex.’

‘Yeah, everything,’ Jason said.

‘Yeah.’ William nodded. ‘Well, not everything,’ he corrected with a frown, ‘but if asked, always.’

‘That’s what I love most about us,’ Jason said as he raised his glass of water to his mouth. ‘The full transparency.’

‘I love you too, Jase,’ William said, clearly charmed, and reached over to ruffle Jason’s hair. ‘Glad I can help you improve your sex life. Though, to put it to good use, you’ll have to start actually having sex.’

‘Yeah, yeah.’
