I came with a groan deep inside Rosalie’s pussy while Cole fisted her red curls, his cock pumping in and out of her mouth.
We’d had a good day until we’d seen Anson. It had deflated her mood. It upset me that she was hurting the way she was, but she plastered on her fake smile and kept going. She did that all too often lately. She needed just to be honest with herself.
I was one to talk, though.
If fake smiles were a fashion accessory, I was walking the catwalk.
Her pussy trembled as I continued to thrust into her, desperate to get her off again before I pulled out.
Her orgasm rushed from her, soaking me.
“Fuck,” Cole groaned, clearly unloading into her mouth. “Goddamn, Rosebud.”
His movements slowed as we all came down from the heights we were at. She swallowed, earning a grin from him.
I kissed her soft lips before pulling free from her tight confines and rolling onto my back in her bed. She snuggled against me, and Cole was quick to join us.
“Today was a good day,” he said softly. “We needed this.”
“We did,” I agreed, bringing Rosalie’s free hand to my lips and kissing it.
She let out a contented hum, making me smile.
Life had been too rough lately. Some days I woke up wondering if it would be the day I’d finally lose my damn mind.
Then I’d see her, and everything would be OK again.
Every dark thought in my head was obliterated whenever she was with me. She was the cure for my disease.
“I could stay here forever,” Cole continued.
The bedroom door creaked open, and Enzo stepped into the room.
“Cole, I need you,” Enzo called out.
“Fucking hell.” Cole let out a groan and rubbed his eyes. “Is it life or death? I’m a little busy here.”
“I’m sure Sunshine will understand.” Enzo let out a soft chuckle. “Right, baby?”
“Mm, no, but I’ll permit it.” She rolled over and kissed Cole. He let out another groan as she teased him beneath the covers.
“E, can you join us?” Enzo asked, stepping deeper into the room.
I shared Cole’s sentiments, but I sighed and scooted out of bed, but not before Rosalie scrambled back to kiss me again. I planted my lips firmly on hers, not wanting to leave her side but knowing the sooner I left, the quicker I could come back. Hopefully.
With a sigh, I forced myself away from her and grabbed my clothes before pulling them back on while Cole dressed on the other side of the bed, grumbling the entire time.
Enzo moved to the bed and kissed Rosalie, making her moan softly as he lightly traced along her pussy with his finger.
“I’ll make it up to you later,” he said before pulling away amid a soft sigh from her. He chuckled before going to the door. I turned long enough to take in my girl, my heart thrumming happily as she gave me her sweet smile.
“Love you, sweetheart,” I called out before following Enzo and Cole to the office. Once we were there, I sank onto the couch next to Cole while Enzo took his chair. Fox was still gone doing his football stuff, and I knew Enzo would catch up with him later.
“What’s so important you had to ruin my evening?” Cole asked as he sat forward on his cushion.
“Vander Veer. He wants to meet us tomorrow night at the club. I agreed.”
My guts tightened at his words.
“Why?” Cole demanded. “We just gave that fuck a whole shit ton of sugar. What does he need now?”
“I expect he’s trying to work his way into our good graces, but that’s a bonus for us if we can reel him in,” Enzo answered. “Plus, he’s bringing clients in. We can’t really turn that down.”
“We can,” I said, clenching my hands into fists. “We don’t need him?—”
“We do. He has the weapons we need. The pull?—”
“He has an insane daughter who makes my fucking skin crawl and nightmares look like a goddamn cakewalk,” I snapped back, aiming my glare on Enzo. “I’m not going.”
Enzo studied me for a moment. “E, man, you’re the sugar daddy. We need you on this. Just get through the transaction. An hour tops, then you can come home. I promise.”
I ground my teeth together. “This isn’t what I want.”
“What do you want?” Enzo frowned at me. “I thought our goal was to be at the top.”
I sighed, feeling agitated. “It is, but…”
I didn’t know what else to say. Eating shit was part of the game. I knew that. The problem was that I didn’t realize how fast I’d get full.
“I don’t want to be around Celeste,” I admitted softly. “I can’t be around that girl. She makes me sick.”
“I know,” Enzo said gently. “With any luck, she won’t be there. And if she is, we’ll keep her away. You can leave.”
I nodded but didn’t say anything. I had a responsibility to my guys and needed to get my shit together so I could follow through.
“Don’t worry, E. If she’s there, I’ll make sure she doesn’t fuck with you,” Cole promised.
I sighed, not wanting to seem like a pussy. “Fine.”
“Good. Now that we have that settled, my parents will be here this weekend. I want to make sure that goes well and no one fucks anything up.”
“Anthony isn’t coming out with us for the deal?” Cole asked.
I looked to Enzo to see him hesitate.
Fuck. He wasn’t telling us something.
“My father has expressed interest in continuing to let me handle things for now. He thinks I’ve been doing good and wants me to keep working,” Enzo admitted.
“Fuck, man. I thought we’d get a break from this shit with him coming out,” I said, irritated out of my fucking mind at the prospect of a goddamn break taken away from us.
“We’re building momentum. Leaving now would fuck it all up. We can’t stop,” Enzo replied simply.
I let out a groan and closed my eyes.
“Enzo’s right,” Cole finally said with a sigh. “The rise to the top is a bitch, but E, man, think of the spoils. The power. The safety we can have for our girl.”
“None of us are safe,” I said, getting to my feet. “Least of all her. You guys would do well to see this shit isn’t going to go anywhere good.”
“E, come on,” Enzo called out as I went to the door to leave.
“No. I’m going upstairs to spend time with Rosalie. I’m taking a fucking break, OK? Just let me.”
When Enzo and Cole remained silent, I opened the door, went straight to Rosalie’s room, and pulled her into my arms.
Within the span of a heartbeat, I was buried back inside her, letting her take all my fear and anxiety away.
She was my anchor in this storm.
I’d die without her.
There was no question about it.
