Chapter 54 Good Vibrations

CHAPTER 54: GOOD VIbrATIONS

JACE

T he past week has been better than I could have ever imagined. Almost every night Lacey was either in my bed or I was in her’s.

Roger called two days ago to offer me the job at the CFNAWC, and I accepted it immediately. I haven’t told Lacey yet because I haven’t found the right time. I don’t just want to tell her about the job; I want to tell her how I feel, and it needs to be perfect. I also haven’t turned down Australia, and I’m not sure why.

Lacey and I decided sometime last week to forgo our separate hotel rooms for the wedding and get one together. She’s been in the bathroom for close to an hour and I keep checking my watch, knowing we need to leave soon or we will be late for the ceremony.

“You about ready?” I call through the door. I hear the click of the handle and when it swings open she takes my breath away. Most of her hair is pulled back into a low bun at the nape of her neck, with a few stray pieces framing her face. Her black satin dress is fitted to every perfect curve. It hits her at the top of her thighs revealing her long legs. She has on black heels and the locket is around her neck. She does a little spin and reveals it’s completely backless.

“What do you think?” she asks.

“I think we might need to skip the wedding,” I say, moving in to kiss her. “You look absolutely irresistible, pixie.”

“You don’t look too bad yourself,” she says. Her emerald eyes rake over the suit I’m wearing. She runs her hands down my tie and kisses me again.

Pushing past me, she walks over to where a small black handbag sits on the bed. She clicks the clasp open and retrieves what resembles a car key fob and a tube of lipstick.

“I thought we were going to Uber,” I say, looking at her hand.

“Oh we are.” She smiles at me over her shoulder. She pauses in front of the floor length mirror and applies the lipstick across her lips.

She walks over to where I stand and places the black and silver key fob in my hand.

“What’s this?” I ask.

She takes my other hand and moves it along her thigh until my fingers brush up against the lace of her underwear.

“Lacey,” I breathe out, letting my fingers tease her through the fabric. My hand stills and when I feel something, but I’m not sure what it is. With one of her hands, she clicks one of the buttons on the fob, starting a series of silent vibrations between her legs. She steadies herself with her hand on my arm and lets out a whimper. Her fingers dig into my shirt. I move my hand from her center and place it on the small of her back holding her against me. She cocks her head exposing her neck and I place a slow tender kiss to her pulse point.

“You want me to play with your pussy all night, pixie?” I up the vibration. “Want me to make you squirm in front of a room full of people?” I up it again and her whole body reacts.

“Yes,” she says, breathlessly.

I grin against her and click the button, stopping the vibrations. She lets out a small groan in protest.

“It would be my pleasure.”

“We have to stay within twenty feet of each other for it to work,” she says. “Figured we could use it during the reception.”

“I don’t plan on letting you out of my sight all night.”

“Good,” she says. “Now let’s go.”

The ceremony was beautiful, but I was distracted by the girl sitting to my right. Lacey held my hand through the entire thing and I was sure to squeeze her hand while Donovan and Enzo exchanged their vows causing a smile to flash across her face and her eyes to get a little glossy. An unspoken promise that one day I will vow to love her in front of all of our family and friends, if she’ll let me.

As much as I was tempted by the remote in my pants pocket during the ceremony, I haven’t used it yet. Figured we should let our friends say their vows before I really started to wind her up, or we would be heading back to the hotel before the hors d’oeuvres were served.

We’re standing at the cocktail hour waiting for the reception to start. Lacey is a few feet away from me talking with Poppy and Wren. Tanner and Logan are going on and on about something, but I’m very distracted. My hand is firmly in my pocket situated on the remote.

I casually click the power button and watch as Lacey’s body does a little jolt, sloshing her champagne over the edge of the glass. Her eyes shoot to mine and I throw her a wink.

“You good, Lace?” Poppy asks.

“Oh yeah, I’m great,” she tries to recover.

I click it off. My dick begins to strain against my boxer briefs and I wonder how we’re going to be able to make it through the night. Knowing I don’t even have to touch her to make her react like that might be my undoing.

In a couple strides, I’m standing next to her. I tug on her hand, removing her from our group of friends and over to the side where her and I are alone.

“If we’re going to do this, I’m going to need you to be a good girl and not give us away,” I whisper against her ear. Her breath hitches and I hit the button again. “You think you can do that, pixie?”

She nods her head. “I can do it.” I up the vibration a couple notches and her forehead falls against my chest.

“I promise to reward you if you’re good.”

She immediately straightens up and steps back from me. I know this isn’t going to last long. I watch as her throat bobs as she tries to swallow whatever she’s feeling down.

“And if I’m bad?” she asks, smirking up at me.

Her words take me by surprise and I clench my jaw. My dick hardens instantly. She slides past me before I can respond and I up the vibrations one more time for good measure. Her body does a little shiver as she walks away and then I turn it off. I’m so fucking screwed.

A man on a microphone asks for everyone to make their way into the reception venue, so dinner can be served. I catch up to Lacey and the rest of our group. We make our way over to the large pickleball themed seating chart adorned with monogrammed pickleball paddles and flowers. Only Donovan and Enzo could somehow make pickleball look elegant.

We all breathe a sigh of relief when we realize they squeezed all eight of us into one table. We find our seats and Lacey sits on my right and Tanner on my left. I don’t miss the break in his smile when Wren chooses a seat on the other side of the round table and Logan sits next to him instead. Without thinking, I place my phone and the key fob on the table between Tanner and me.

“I thought y’all Ubered here,” he says, eyeing the key.

“Oh we did.” I quickly grab the remote and stuff it back into my pocket. “I brought my keys by mistake.”

I feel Lacey’s foot kick against mine under the table and I try not to laugh. My phone pings.

Pixie: Careful J. Would hate to have to punish you for giving up our little secret!

Jace: You wouldn’t dare.

Pixie: Try me.

I inhale deeply and I hear her stifle a laugh. The waiters begin to bring around food and the room fills with conversation and music. About halfway through the meal, Donovan and Enzo make their way into the reception hall and everyone cheers. Both men are beaming and look so incredibly happy. Love looks good on them.

They begin to move around the dance floor and as they perform their choreographed dance, I can’t take my eyes off Lacey. She sways to the music. I wish for a moment I had my camera because I never want to forget the way she looks right now. The glow of candlelight illuminates her soft features. Her eyes flit to mine and like I did during the vows, I squeeze her hand sending her another silent promise.

“Did you see my mom’s painting yet?” Logan asks the table. He nods toward his mother, who stands in front of an easel to the right of the dance floor.

“No, but I’m dying too,” Poppy says. “I tried to sneak a peek earlier and she wouldn’t let me look. Told me to come back after the first dance.”

“Painting?” Wren asks.

“Logan’s mom, Gwen, owns an art studio in town and on the weekends she does live paintings,” Poppy explains.

“Poppy and I booked her as a surprise for the grooms,” Logan says.

“Wow! She has my dream job,” Wren beams.

“You don’t like working at Dogwood Manor?” Tanner cuts in.

“Oh no, I love what I do. But if I could do it all again, an art studio sounds like a dream.”

The table is quiet for a moment and the music shifts.

“I get that,” Tanner says. She offers him a shy smile. A waiter swings by our table and refills our water glasses. “Cake will be served shortly,” he says before disappearing.

“Anyone need anything from the bar?” Tanner asks, standing.

“I’ll take one of the signature cocktails,” Gray says.

“Which one?” he asks. “The Tink or the Peter Pan?”

“Are they big Disney fans?” Chloe asks.

“No, the drinks are named for their dogs,” Logan explains. “Or I guess I should say they were named for the ring bearer and flower girl.”

“I think the Tink,” Gray says. “That’s the spicy margarita, right?”

He nods. “Could you grab all of us one?” Lacey asks. He nods again. Logan stands following him and muttering something about helping him carry the drinks.

I rest my hand on Lacey’s thigh, and she places her head on my shoulder. The other girls continue on about something that happened at work with a couple of the residents, who are now apparently dating.

Logan and Tanner return with their hands full of spicy margaritas. Each one is topped with a lime and a candied jalapeno skewered with a toothpick. On the top of the toothpick is a cutout of the grooms’ English Mastiff, Tinkerbell, with a bow in her hair.

“Thank you,” Lacey says, grabbing one of the drinks and sipping from the cocktail straw.

There is a lull in the conversation as we await cake and anticipate dancing. Lacey’s hand moves to my thigh and comes awful close to grazing my cock. My jaw ticks and I hear her laugh under her breath obviously amused with what she can do to me in a second. But two can play this game, removing my hand from my beer, I slide it into my pocket and click the top button.

“The ceremony was so beautiful,” Poppy says, looking longingly at Logan.

Lacey doesn’t react immediately, so I increase the vibrations a level, which makes her shift in her seat.

“So beautiful,” Lacey manages to choke out as I up the vibration to the next level.

“You okay, Lace?” Chloe asks.

I up the vibration again.

“Yeah, I’m great. Just thinking about how beautiful all this is and how excited I am for the happy couple.” Her words come out in a rush and she tries to take a large sip of her margarita.

“Yeah, what has you acting so weird tonight?” Wren asks.

“Nothing,” she snaps.

Lacey crosses her legs and grabs my hand with hers. I reduce the vibration, slowly backing off until it’s gone entirely. I don’t want to send her over the edge, not yet.

“You sure?” Tanner asks.

“Yes,” she says, a little breathless. I pull out my phone.

Jace: If it’s too much or you want to stop you can tell me.

Pixie: Are you kidding? This is so fucking hot. Whatever you do, don’t stop.
