Chapter 4

JACE

Sleeping with a tipsy Mia Davis in my arms is both heaven and hell, and I’d gladly do it every night for the rest of my life.

Her sinful body fits perfectly, curled up next to mine, but having her voluptuous ass pressed against my hard cock has given me the worst case of blue balls I’ve ever had.

I wake up early, which is typical for me as I usually go for a run every morning.

But there’s no way I can hit the pavement today. Not with how hard my cock is right now.

I quietly ease my way out of bed, careful not to disturb Mia, and step into a steaming-hot shower.

As soon as the water pelts down on my skin, I’m quick to wrap my hand around my dick to seek some much-needed relief.

If I can’t sink into Mia’s sweet pussy yet, at least I can imagine I am.

And that’s just what I do as I stroke my dick hard and fast while I lean against the shower wall.

When I finally envision spilling my cum on her luscious, full tits as she stares up at me from the floor on her knees, my balls draw tight, and I explode my release in my calloused palm.

I come hard and stroke myself to completion, shuddering through the aftershocks.

Damn, I needed that. I finish up and wash off—hoping like hell she didn’t hear me—and step out of the shower to get dressed for the day.

I would have never thought I had a chance with her—the woman I’ve always wanted but couldn’t have.

Mia’s a city girl, and I’m just a country boy, too different to make a relationship work.

But every time she came to visit Miss Hattie, I found an excuse to see her.

She was the girl I compared all others to, which is probably why I never wanted to date anyone seriously.

Now, here she is, running away from her seemingly not-so-perfect urban dream. She’s in my house, sleeping in my bed. Soon to be riding on my dick. And she’ll be here forever if I can convince her to stay.

I want her to stay.

Mia is so fucking cute when I go to rouse her too.

I hate to do it, but her phone is blowing up, and I’m worried it’s something important.

I stroke along her soft cheek with the backs of my fingers, and she blindly smacks at my hand, demanding coffee in a sleep-driven, cranky voice.

I let her know someone’s been calling her nonstop and hand over her phone while I get her a cup of some desperately needed caffeine.

But when I get back and overhear her conversation—I swear I don’t mean to eavesdrop—I’m a little disappointed at what she’s saying.

“Oh yeah, I’m just out shopping with the girls in Buckhead today… Sorry, I can’t do lunch on Tuesday either. I have a meeting… Thursday? I’ll, um, check with Monica and get back to you, Mother. I’m pretty swamped at the office this week. I’m working on a big project right now.”

I’m not exactly sure why Mia is lying to her mother, but I shouldn’t be standing here in the hallway listening to her call either.

So, I step into the bedroom and take her a steaming mug of coffee.

When I hand it to her, she mouths the words “thank you” as she listens to whatever her mother’s saying.

“Of course, Mother. I know Celeste got promoted at work. She also just got divorced.” Mia rolls her eyes as she sips her coffee.

“Yes, I know… sometimes we have to make sacrifices in life. You’ve told me.

Mother, I have to go. I’m with the girls.

I’ll call you later, okay? Love you.” She disconnects the call and drops her phone onto the bed.

A look of annoyance covers her face as she lies back on the pillows and sighs.

“Wanna talk about it?” I prompt her as I sit on the edge of the bed.

“Not really,” she responds without opening her eyes.

“Can I ask why you said you were still in Atlanta?”

She peeks open her lashes and looks at me.

“It isn’t because of you, okay? I promise.

” That makes me feel better about her conversation, but I still don't like it. “It’s just… she wouldn’t understand.

She’d tell me to grow up and quit acting like a child.

That we don’t always get to do what we want, and I’d be a fool to walk away from the amazing job I have at Kincaid Miller Consulting Group. ”

“So, you wanna quit your job, then?”

She nibbles on the corner of her mouth. “No… Of course not.”

“But you’re not happy, honey.”

She looks down at the coffee mug resting in her lap. “How do you know that?” Her voice is quiet and barely above a whisper.

“Because I know a runaway when I see one.” I tip her chin up with my index finger and force her to look into my eyes. “You’re a grown-ass woman, Mia, and I can’t tell you what to do. But I think you should tell your mother the truth.”

“You don't know my mother, Jace. She doesn’t give a damn about what I want or what makes me happy.” A sad look crosses her face, and I fucking hate it. “Let’s just forget she called, okay?”

“For now.”

“Fine, for now.” She rolls her eyes at me and sips her coffee. “Now, what do you have to eat ‘round here ‘cause I’m about to get hangry?”

“Wow, you’re outta the city for one day, and you’re already losing that elegant refinement. Looks like you may be a country girl after all.”

“Maybe I just needed to find where I belong, in order to be my true self.”

“I think I can help you with that. C’mon, girl. Get your sexy ass outta that bed. I got a whole day planned for you.”

Mia closes her eyes and moans as she takes the last bite from her fork. “Mmm, I haven’t had fried catfish like that in so long. That was exceptional.” Watching her savor her food gives me ideas of how she might enjoy tasting my cock, and it twitches in my pants.

Fuck, I wanna see her lips wrapped around me.

“You’re easy to please, honey. If all it takes is a day out on my boat and a catfish fry to get you moaning like that, then I might have to make that happen on the regular.”

“There are other ways to get me to moan, Jace, without so much trouble.” She looks at me with a challenge in her hazel eyes.

I reach out my hand underneath the table and caress the inside of her bare knee. “Baby, I’d be more than happy to find all the ways that make you moan.”

“Is that so?” Her cheeks flush as a mischievous smile graces her pretty face.

“Speaking of which…” I slide my chair away from the table, the legs scraping lightly against the wooden floor of my back deck.

“There’s something in the kitchen that I was told was sure to melt your panties.

” I cock my eyebrow at her, and she gives me an inquisitive look, clearly having no idea what I’m talking about.

I retrieve the item and lay it down in front of her.

Once she sees it, her eyes light up with excitement.

“Where’d you get this?” She picks up the book and clutches it to her chest.

“Crystal dropped it off for you while we were on the boat. Her text said you girls talked about it last night, and this one had… all the cocks.”

She covers her face with the book to hide her laugh.

I fucking love that sound.

She peeks at me over the cover. “It’s a reverse harem mafia book. One girl, multiple bad boys.” She hides her smile, but she can’t disguise her beautiful blush.

“Ah. All the cocks. I see.” I nod my head slowly.

“And you like that sort of thing, huh?” She doesn’t answer me.

Instead, she looks at me with her soft doe eyes, smiling innocently.

“You naughty little girl.” I tsk my tongue at her.

“Maybe we should read some of it tonight, then? See if it really will melt your panties. Wanna find out?”

“I think that’s a great idea. What do you say we clean up dinner, and I read you a little bedtime story?

A very naughty…” She sets the book down on the table and stands, which places her mouth-watering tits at my eye level.

“Very sexy…” She steps over to me and rests her hands on my shoulders.

I run my palms up the back of her smooth, bare thighs, thankful she decided on a pair of cutoff shorts tonight when we came in from the boat.

“Bedtime story.” She gazes into my eyes, and there’s no mistaking the yearning I see there.

I couldn’t do what I wanted last night, not when she was so vulnerable and had been drinking.

But tonight… Tonight I know she wants this.

Without a doubt, Mia Davis is mine, even if just for a little while.

And once she’s in my bed, I’m going to convince her she needs to stay here with me forever.

Maybe I’ll just keep fucking her until she can’t imagine anything else.
