Chapter Twenty-Two Peyton
Three Months Later
So settling into Briarfield these past couple of months has been an experience.
Getting comfortable living in our home with these two men and our three children has definitely been something new.
I am used to a big family and lots of chaos because of my family and the club, but this is something new and things that I have not experienced before.
I have never been the first lady of a club before and really, the only ol’ lady for the Untamed so a lot of the BBQs and things have fallen on my shoulders, it has really been a lot because of everything else I have going on.
Thankfully, everyone has been understanding and because a lot of the men don’t have families yet, we have not done a lot of family BBQs. Which has been nice for me.
I have been adjusting to life as a mother of three and dealing with not having a mother to turn to if I need any advice.
Thankfully, Knox’s mom has been only a phone call away when I start panicking about anything.
Sophie will answer my calls and talk to me as well when it comes to needing some advice about the kids.
Which has been great. A lot has happened in the past few months and not just settling into our new home.
I graduated shortly after we moved to Briarfield and felt so much accomplishment in graduating when I did.
Shortly after graduation, the Devil’s got word about a location for the twins and they brought them back.
I have never seen my family so happy as we were the day they came home and we all gathered at their house to see them for the first time in four months.
They were so happy to see all their siblings, cousins, and aunts and uncles.
It was a giant party and every one of the adults had tears in their eyes.
It was so amazing, we were all very thankful that they were not physically hurt in any way.
The only person that was unable to come home to see them was Parker.
Parker and I have talked a little bit since I texted her what I did those months ago.
We still aren’t back to where we were before our spring break last year, but at least we are talking.
She told me all about what happened between her and Doc.
To say I have never been more angry at a man in my life is an understatement.
I mean yes, Cooper did a lot of fucked up shit, but he didn’t take my virginity and immediately treat me like trash after.
I mean he did a lot of hurtful shit, but I think I’m angrier at Doc because of what he did to someone I love.
Handling the way people treat me is different, I can protect myself in the way I need to, but I can’t protect Parker from the heartbreak she felt when Doc did and said the things he did.
She has told me that she has started dating someone from law school and I think that is amazing for her.
I hope she comes back with him for the holidays to rub that shit in Doc’s face.
Another thing that happened was I got into the medical school I wanted to get into.
Hawthorne Ridge School of Medicine. It is 15 minutes away from where we live in Briarfield.
It has an absolute powerhouse reputation and it is the school everyone wants to be in for medical school if you are interested in surgery, trauma medicine and biomedical research.
It is super competitive and prestigious.
The admission process is brutal and part of what they are famous for.
They have legendary surgical residency match rates and is just the school I was hoping to get into.
So come the fall I will be starting there and to say I am excited is an understatement.
I know that I am going to be busy and overwhelmed with everything else on my plate, but I know that I have a strong family from both Untamed and Chaos to help me when I need it.
I started a desk job at Briarfield Regional Medical Center last month and I am excited to get my foot in the door there.
Knox knew that I was wanting to start a position and decided to donate money and become a board member of the hospital after I got the job..
So Untamed gets a lot of benefits when they come to this hospital now and a lot of discretion.
It is crazy how MCs get people in all forms of life under their belt and on their side as allies to work the system the way they want it.
We hired on some stuff at the clubhouse for bartenders, a daycare so that the triplets don’t have to go somewhere else and cleaning stuff.
Knox got everything set up with the club whores, which I am not thrilled about, but glad that he really only brought a couple of women from the Untamed over in Devil’s Hollow, none of them were girls that remotely had anything to do with Cooper while he was there.
A few more girls have come into the club and become club girls as well and honestly, I have no desire to find out about the process they go through to become a clubgirl.
I don’t even know why one would want to be that.
Knox has also been working on getting their businesses set up around town, as well as getting to know allies around the area.
So far we are still new and still setting everything up.
We have been very busy and really, I don’t know how we are doing it.
Cooper has been traveling back and forth between Briarfield and Richmond so he is on the road an hour a day.
There have been days he has had to stay the night at the clubhouse and we don’t push anything.
I haven’t been to the clubhouse yet, but I know today I plan to go because some of the older members want to see the triplets.
I’m not looking forward to it because I know that Sophie is still having problems with the club girls there and I know that Cooper has fucked some of the girls that have been there longer and also hooked up with some of the newer ones before he decided he wanted to try for this relationship we are
attempting.
So I am not looking forward to that if what Sophie is saying is true.
The brothers are not doing anything about the club whores that are starting anything with ol’ ladies or anyone else in the club.
Something has to change. Hopefully I can make it a visit without any bitch trying to start shit with me. I don’t know, Sophie doesn’t even go to the clubhouse and she gets attacked. I mean also Toby has never fucked anybody else so I don’t know what these women think they are doing.
A couple hours later I am finally at the Devil’s Chaos clubhouse and surrounded by my family and the club I grew up with.
I know Knox wished he could’ve come, but he had a lot going on with the club and getting their businesses off the ground.
I promised Sophie I would head to their house after I spent some time at the clubhouse.
Hoping that I can get through this day without drama, but as it seems drama is more than likely waiting for me.
My dad was the first to greet me after I parked the car and he came up to help me get the triplets out of the car.
“Hey baby girl! So glad you were able to come see us today. I’m sure these sweet babies have gotten much bigger since the last time I saw them.”
“Hey daddy, yeah they are growing like weeds. Where is everybody else?”
“Well council is having church right now and all the other patched members that are here are in the common areas inside. Cane, Cannon, Davis and Tillie are waiting for you inside. Church was called and we didn’t know what time you were going to be here.
Whip wasn’t sure how long it would take you to get here and get everything together for the kids.”
“That’s okay, I’m just glad I get to spend time with everyone today. I miss everybody. Is Uncle Finn and Anna here?”
“Yeah they are inside too, along with all the kids. It’s nice that it is summer time and everyone is out of school. Your Aunt Morgan, Uncle Beau, Aunt Taylor and Uncle Oliver want you to get in touch with them to find a time to see them. You know they don’t come around the club much.
I think the last time Morgan was here was for Phoenix’s patching ceremony.”
“Yeah, I’ll get in touch with them. Probably before school starts, I’ve got a lot going on right now too though. Everything is super hectic between the new job, the babies and trying to figure out this whole ol’ lady of the president business.”
“You’ll figure it out baby girl. Knox couldn’t have chosen a better ol’ lady to help him lead his club, plus you’ve also got ol’ lady status here too.”
“Yeah well, we will see how that actually goes here. Are there any club whores here today?”
“Well they usually are here, some of them do work at the clubs and shit, so I don’t know who all is here. You know I don’t pay any attention to them. Never have.”
I nod my head and grab one of the baby carriers, while dad grabs the other two and we head inside.
The second I walk through those doors I am greeted with the smells and sounds of home and I love it.
Thankfully no one is really doing anything nasty in the common area when you first walk in.
Cannon sees us coming in and jumps up off the couch where he was sitting next to Isabella.
“Hey little sister, here let me take the baby.” He reaches for the carrier I have, but I move out of his way.
“Grab one from dad. I got this one.”
He nods his head and takes the one with the purple princess cover, knowing that he grabbed Rebel. We walk over to the couches and I place the carrier down and smile at everyone that is there.
“Hey! I missed you guys!”
I was surprised to be greeted by more than who I thought would be here, Cannon, Cane, Isabella, Davis, Tillie, Uncle Finn, Aunt Anna, Wyatt, Memphis and their four kids, Weston, Scott and Rachel and their two, Lyla, Stephanie, Rocky and Annie were there as well.
It was nice to see so many people and they all had plenty of hugs to share.
“It is so good to see you girl! Now let's see those babies!” Annie says as she walks to the carriers that were placed on the ground.
“Alright, well I will introduce you to them.” I walk over to the one that has a red Untamed cover on it and undo the carrier cover.
“This is Ronan.” I pull him out and walk him over to a grumpy looking Cane and place him in his hands. “You look like you need something to make you feel better, so cuddle with your nephew.”
He doesn’t say anything, he just takes the baby and sits there.
