Instead of letting her run off to her lair where she no doubt plots her evil plans, I advance on her, pushing her through people as they work to get to their seats. I don’t stop until her back smacks against a supportive column, her head connecting with it.
“I will destroy your life and not feel one ounce of remorse. You tried to ruin a man whose only crime was rejecting a tired, old whore with a sad and empty life. Stay the fuck away from Nic or I will own the last goddamn breath you take. I know a lot of people that would jump at the chance to help me bury you, so try me. I am not the bitch you want to piss off.”
Her eyes narrow and she blows smoke from her nostrils. The guests continue to move around us, pretending not to see the altercation. I drop her wrist and wrap my velvety hand around her throat and lean in to whisper in her ear.
“Now get your date and walk away before I help his wife take every last penny he owns. Crawl back into the shit hole you came out of and never look back.” I pull back with a tight and wide smile and drop my hand.
“Okay. Awesome. So great meeting you.” I take two steps back before deciding to put a period on it. “Oh. You almost forgot your drink. ”
I lift my hand with unhurried precision until it hangs over her head.
I tip the glass and watch the sticky liquid pour down her face, taking her mascara and fake lashes with it.
Lucy snorts somewhere behind me, probably guzzling down her drink and popping peanuts in her mouth watching the drama unfold.
I’m yanked back by my hand and smash against Nic’s chest. He kisses me harder than before, and as rapidly as he began, he stops.
“Let’s go,” he growls, and throws Sonja one last look of disgust.
I toss the empty glass over my shoulder to Lucy and she catches it, winking and mouthing fuck yeah as I’m dragged away.
“I came here with Lucy and Chase,” I tell him, my breath stuttering as we weave in and out of people.
“I have my car. Excuse me,” he says, pushing people this way and that way just like the skilled player he is.
“Val! Where are you two rushing off too?” We spin to see Monty and Killeen standing at the bottom of the stairs with matching grins.
“We have some making up to do,” Nic shouts and I slap my hand over his mouth before he can spill any details.
“Thank you for the lovely evening. I’m sorry to cut out so soon. But we’ll see you in January for playoffs.” I smile warmly but also rushed because if I’m not careful, Monty will pull us into a forty minute conversation and Nic will end up jizzing in his pants.
“That’s right! I can’t wait to have you back in the suite. Now you go have some fun and Nic,” Monty calls. “No pictures, got it?”
With a crooked smile he says, “Only ones for my private album.”
My face burns bright red and I want to crawl under a rug and die. Before I can think too much of it, we’re out the door and searching for the attendant. “Dammit. It’s going to take forever for them to get my car.”
Nic paces and pulls me with him, my heels clipping against the travertine tiles. “It’s okay. We can wait,” I assure him.
“No. We cannot.” He sees a guy jogging our way but still too far away for him. He scoops me up and I yelp. “The red Urus. Where’d you park it?” The kid looks confused and moves his head side to side as if Nic could be talking to someone else. “You. Where is it?”
“Oh. Um, it’s behind the carriage house. If you give me ten minutes, I can bring it right around.”
“No time. Gimme the keys.” The kid fumbles with the locked door where the guests keys are stored and finds the ones matching the tag Nic gives him.
When he finds them, Nic snatches them out of his hand and throws me over his shoulder.
“NIC! Put me down!” I bop up and down when he begins to run across the vast property. “Oh my god, you’re going to drop me.”
“Never. I’d drop the perfect pass before I ever let you touch the ground. Just hold on tight and we’ll be there in a minute.”
He moves like I weigh as much as a football and I must admit, it makes me all wet and tingly to be the object of his caveman behavior.
We reach the building that must be the carriage house and scan the rows of cars for the bright red car amongst the other vehicles that cost more than people’s annual salary.
“There,” I grunt, his shoulder still cutting off some of my air from where it presses into my stomach.
He moves so fast I don’t think his feet touch the ground. I’m pretty sure he even hurdles over a bush to get there sooner. And when we do, he sets me gently on my feet and throws the passenger door open. But instead of me sitting down, he takes the seat and pulls me in and shuts the door behind us.
“What are you doing?” I blink as my eyes adjust to the new darkness that surrounds us.
“Do you really have to ask? I’m not waiting until we get home.”
The fabric of my dress is stretched to its limit with how I straddle his lap.
Nic pats all my sides and back until he finds the zipper of my dress.
He tugs on it but he isn’t going to get anywhere with it.
Lucy practically sewed me into this and it’s going to take more than a little jerk to get me out of it.
“Oh my god, Val. I swear, if you can’t get out of this dress, I’m going to shred it with my bare hands.”
“No! It’s Cristallini. Do not shred anything. Give me a second.”
“I don’t care who the fuck Cristallini is, you’ve got ten seconds before it becomes a rag.”
I push up on my knees, crouched uncomfortably with my head touching the roof, and gather the dress up and over my hips. At the same time, Nic is unbuckling his belt and pulling down his zipper.
He grips his dick and takes it out while simultaneously pushing my panties to the side. With my hands still cloaked in velvet, I rest them on his shoulders and sink down onto his hard cock. We both groan like it’s the first taste of temptation.
“Fuck, I’ve missed you,” he declares, his words sounding like a promise.
My hips roll, his hands on my ass, and ride him nice and slow. “I missed you, too.”
The cold that swirled now turns hot and humid, the windows beginning to fog from our exertion. The sounds of desire fill the air and I rise up and down, long deep strokes that make me see stars.
I move faster and frantic, racing towards the blissful finish we both chase. “That sweet, tight cunt missed me too. Look at how greedily it milks me. You want me to come, baby?” I nod, too lost to speak. “Tell me. Tell me how much you want it.”
“I want it so bad I want to drink you down and live off of it for days.” I clamp my teeth onto his earlobe then flick it with my tongue. “Now be a good boy and fuck me harder.”
He digs his fingertips into my tender flesh and thrusts his hips, pistoning violently and rocking the car.
“No one will ever fuck you like me. You’ll never be loved by anyone else but me. And if one dares to try, you better be okay with conjugal visits because I’ll kill any man who lays a finger on you.”
My body trembles with delight at this delicious man and his claim on me.
I’ve always been the one to hold strong and stay level headed.
If a guy I dated ever said I was his, it was grounds for immediate breakup.
But something about the way Nic says it has me wanting to throw my rule book out the window and give him everything.
“Say it, Valentina.” My breathing grows shallow and I press my hands on the roof and throw my head back.
My toes start to tingle and the buzzing in my ears grows louder. The world feels like it’s spinning out of control, my body flying, unsure of which way is up. The orgasm is hurdling at lightning speed and I’m helpless against its fury.
“Yes. Shit, right there.” My cries rebound from window to window, coming back at me like encouragement to keep going.
A slender hand slides down my throat, reaching into my lungs and squeezing the last ounce of air, leaving me breathless.
I gasp, my eyes rolling open like a drowning victim breaking through the surface, and fall limp into Nic’s arms. He clings to me as his foot slams so hard against the floorboard that the car rattles, and I feel his dick throb.
“Fuck. Fuck!” he growls and loses himself, euphorically.
My hand streaks down the cold window and I grind my teeth, bearing the force of Nic’s momentum. His Adam’s apple protrudes from his thick, corded neck, bobbing up and down as he gulps the small pockets of air remaining in our space.
His body stops jerking and exhales. I watch his face turn soft and a smile spreads. We stare at one another, relief washing over both of us that we have come to rest on the same shore, side by side. Pretty rapidly, but nonetheless by each other’s side.
With a gruff and dry voice he says, “Say it, Valentina.”
I know what he wants. The three little words hang from the tip of my stubborn tongue. In my head I hear the same let go echoing over and over. It’s time I stop fighting it and start living it. No more wading in shallow waters, bracing for the wave that will carry me off to the harsh sea.
Deciding to dive head first, I tell him, “I love you, Nico. You’re annoying and infuriating, and you make me angry as much as you make me smile. But for some reason, I want nothing more than to belong to you and only you.”
His cocky smirk teases me, and I just know he’s going to turn this touching moment into something that will make me want to shove a sock in his mouth.
“I knew you loved me. I saw it the moment you held my balls for the first time.”
“Ugh! I take it back. Let me out.” I pretend to tug on the door handle, but Nic snakes his arms around me, keeping me tethered to him.
“No way. It’s gonna be you and me against the world. And if anyone tries to mess with us, I’ll get my savage sugar mama to handle them.” I drop my head against his shoulder, my cheeks red with embarrassment.
“I can’t believe I did that.”
“It was fucking awesome. I hope someone got it on camera.”
The air turns still and only the soft whistle of the wind from outside can be heard.
I stare at him and caress his face, a look of content in his eyes.
I know I’m stubborn and difficult, and I don’t make it easy for him.
But if it wasn’t for Nic breaking through my walls with a jackhammer, I don’t think I’d ever know what it truly feels like to be cherished.
Without Nico, I don’t think I’d even know what love is. He’s opened my eyes and I never want to shut them again.
“Thank you for never giving up on me.”
Nic leans close, brushing his lips against the shell of my ear and whispers, “I will forever be the one who’s loving you, Valentina.”
