Chapter Ten
Rafael tucked Faith closer to his side as their limo took them to Rowan’s the next day.
The night before was emotional for her, and he worried. There were bouts of crying, and then she’d beg him to fuck her. He knew she had to be sore, but he also knew she needed that type of discomfort to dull the pain her father’s death was causing.
He glanced down at her. “How are you doing?”
She looked up. “I’m numb. Is that normal?”
“Yes. You’ve been traumatized. It’s going to take a while for it all to sink in.”
“I hope seeing my sisters will help.”
He kissed the side of her head. “I think it will.”
Faith sat up and looked out the back window at the two cars of security men Rafael had with them.
“Why do we need so many?”
“Because we don’t want to take any chances with our wives. I don’t want you to worry about that. Let me do it.”
She nodded and pressed herself against him again.
They pulled in through a massive gate, up a long drive, and parked in front of a huge house.
The car door opened, and Rafael got out and looked around to make sure the security was spread out, and the gate had closed.
He reached in for her. “Come on, Love. Let’s go see your sisters.”
They walked into the house and were immediately shown to Rowan’s office.
Faith cried out as she moved to where her sisters sat on a sofa in the corner of the room. The room was huge but still contained, so they could let the girls talk for a while in relative safety.
The men stood across from the girls with glasses of bourbon.
Rafael looked out the window and saw all the security the three men had for the day. He thought the thirty men in and around the house were enough, but there was always that chance something would happen.
“Have you guys started on some safety rooms for the house?” Casen asked after handing him a glass filled with the amber liquid.
Rafael nodded to Casen. “Yes, both upstairs and on the main level. Thankfully, I started months ago, and they are about done.” He looked toward Rowan. “How about you?”
Rowan kept his eyes on Angel as he nodded.
Rafael would have laughed if he and Casen hadn’t been doing the same things with their wives.
“We’ve got a decoy car that’s going to leave before you guys. We’ll see what happens. I’ve got a security woman about the size of our girls, and she has a long red wig.”
Rafael nodded. He liked the idea and was glad Rowan had thought about it.
Rafael flinched when all three women huddled together and were crying and talking at the same time.
“How did Faith take it?” Rowan asked.
“Badly. I had to take her downstairs and spank her until she cried. She was bottling it up and rocking. I could tell she was in pain, but she couldn’t release the sadness by herself. It was just too much. How about your women?”
Rowan took a quick drink. “I had to do something like that. I didn’t take her downstairs, but I had to fuck her for hours until she felt calm. Thank God, she makes me totally hot. I’ve never had this feeling with another woman.”
“Me either,” Rafael said and turned to Casen. “How about you and Harmony?”
He smirked, but Rafael could see the deep concern in his friend’s eyes. “I think a sailor would have been offended by some of the stuff Harmony was yelling.” He snorted. “It’s funny they named her that because there’s nothing the least bit timid about her.”
“Does that bother you?” Rowan asked.
“Hell, no. She’s perfect for me.”
Rowan nodded. “Same here.”
“What are you going to do with Debra?” Casen asked Rafael.
He shrugged. “We weren’t exclusive.”
Rowan scowled. “That doesn’t matter to women. You aren’t still going to see her, are you?”
Rafael pulled his eyes from Faith. “I don’t think so. I think Faith was made for me.” He looked at Rowan. “What did you do about Brigit?”
“Fuck, she was here when we got home. It didn’t go well at all. Angel tried to leave, and Brigit screamed and threatened.”
Casen cursed. “I told you that woman is a viper.”
Rowan nodded at Casen. “She is. I didn’t realize how much until that night. I’m still not sure how she got in. I had it out with my security about that. The way it worked was I called her when I needed a good fuck, and she’d come and then leave right after. How she suddenly thought we were an item is beyond me.”
“Women think way different from us,” Rafael commented.
Rowan walked to the door when there was a knock. Rafael heard him murmur and then let the guy in. They both came back to stand with the others.
“Guys, this is one of the men I have looking for information, Peter Sanders, and he’s learned something. By the look on his face, it isn’t good.”
Rafael checked and made sure Faith was occupied before he turned his attention to the man.
“It seems Eldora, their stepmother, has been in bed, literally, with Omar Montgomery.”
“Fuck,” Casen spit out.
Rafael’s breath hitched in his throat. “He’s involved with the mafia, isn’t he?”
“In a way. His father is from Saudi Arabia, and his mom was an American. He usually is with his father and only uses the name Montgomery when he’s in the US. When he’s here, he creates a lot of havoc. He does business with a lot of different people.”
“Does that make it worse for us? Will we have more people trying to get our women?” Casen asked.
“No. That’s one of the good things. He’s burned so many bridges that most of the people he’s dealt with want him dead.”
“What about the ones that still work with him?” Rafael asked.
“I haven’t found any evidence that they would help him either.”
“Maybe, unless it was for the right price?” Rowan said.
Rafael wiped a hand down his face. “Do you have names of the people he still works with?”
“I’m compiling it now. That’s not all,” Peter said and then sighed. “Eldora will keep trying. Omar offered her two million for each woman.”
“For God’s sake, why?”
“He wants to give them to his father as a gift. They think they will bring good fortune to them.”
“Jesus Christ,” Casen said.
Peter nodded. “And besides the six million for them, Eldora will get their full estate worth billions.”
Rafael felt sick to his stomach. How could anyone sell another human, especially one that’s in her own family, to people like this?”
“What the hell are we going to do?” Rowan asked.
“I’ve got a few ideas,” Peter said. “We need to put a hit out on Eldora. Cut the snake off at the head and then somehow make it look like the woman brought bad luck.”
Rafael straightened. “That could work. We’ll also need to come up with different things to make them look like it and start spreading a rumor about the triplets being witches or something. What are the Saudis afraid of?”
“I’ll do some research,” Peter said. “I do know I’ve heard about the evil eye. They are very superstitious about that, and they are afraid of owls.”
“Let’s dress the girls in clothes with owls on them,” Casen suggested.
“It’s the sound of them hooting at night. That’s really bad, I hear,” Peter explained.
Rowan patted Peter on the shoulder. “Keep researching. We’ll take all the advice we can get.”
“You got it,” Peter said, turned, and walked out.
Rafael looked at the girls after the man left. “I think we need to get our girls home. Send out the decoys.”
“They looked wiped out,” Rowan agreed. He went behind his desk and called someone. “Give it ten minutes. The woman and man who looks like Casen are headed out now. You’ll be taking my car home with your guys. My men will bring them back.”
Rafael nodded and went to Faith. “Let’s get ready to go, Baby. Say goodbye to your sisters.”
“When will I get to see them again?” she asked.
“Soon.”
