Chapter 26 #2

A brunette separated from the mass without hesitation. She pulled Purity’s panties to the side and started to work the rim.

“Solara?” I asked.

She didn’t reply. Her eyes were on Purity, and one of her hands was in her panties.

“Solara,” I repeated.

“Yes, sorry. I received a bonus ability for tier 10 of silk sorceress, like Penny. Mine is called Conduit.”

She read me the description:

Conduit

Passive Ability

Your intense study of Bolt magic connects you to the currents of the universe. You can draw energy from the natural electricity in your vicinity, and you can use those currents to heighten your senses and quicken your reaction speed.

Sugar Daddy Bonus made this a Passive Ability.

That ability was light on specifics, so much so that I likely would have discouraged choosing it deliberately, but the concept was sound and supported Solara’s Bolt specialization well enough.

Next, she relayed her new unlock choices:

Hungry Mistress

For every 10,000 Will points you harvest on behalf of your sovereign, gain a 0.05% bonus to an attribute of your choice. Once a target attribute is chosen, it cannot be changed or modified.

Sugar Daddy Bonus increase attribute bonus from 0.025%.

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Bonus increases by an additional 0.05%.)

(Bonus Pledge: Every 50,000 Will points, gain a 0.2% bonus to an attribute of your choice. The back of your throat is as sensitive as and produces as much pleasure as your G-spot.)

Legendary Elementalist

Passive Ability

Choose an element and gain four new spells in that element, and gain an additional 25% resistance to attacks of that element. This ability can only be taken once.

Sugar Daddy bonus increased the offering from three spells.

Prerequisite: Elementalist

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Gain an additional 5% bonus to your strength in the chosen element.)

(Bonus Pledge: Gain an additional spell of your chosen element. The back of your throat is as sensitive as and produces as much pleasure as your G-spot.)

Harem Honor

Gain a 2% bonus to all stats for every person in your harem.

Sugar Daddy Bonus increased bonus from 1%.

Prerequisite: Undead, Harem Wife

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Gain a 1% bonus to damage resistance for every person in your harem.)

(Bonus Pledge: Physical pleasure given to you by a member of your harem incorporates spiritual pleasure akin to enlightenment. The back of your throat is as sensitive as and produces as much pleasure as your G-spot.)

“Harem Honor can wait,” Solara said. “There’s no real penalty for delaying there. Hungry Mistress makes the most sense for immortality, but my mortal frame of mind wants Legendary Elementalist because, well, Bolt spells.”

“In the Silk, you get what you want.”

Solara grinned.

+1 Loyalty Pledge.

+1 Unallocated stat point.

Purity moaned to herself, her eyes closed in bliss. The follower licking my archpriestess slipped her middle finger all the way in, the saliva lubricating the entry while the ongoing climax made everything relaxed and welcoming.

“What spells did you learn?” I asked Solara.

“Static Levitation, Lightning Elemental, Ball Lightning, Conjure Storm, and Absorb.”

Solara floated off the bed and hovered in mid-air.

“This is Static Levitation, and I like this a lot. I always wanted to fly.” Without lowering herself, she continued, “Lightning Elemental is what you think it is. Ball Lightning is a high-powered Bolt spell that adds concussive force to the damage it deals. Conjure Storm is self-explanatory, and Absorb allows me to consume any electric-type attacks used against me. Instead of taking damage, I can add that to the base damage of my next spell.”

“If you had a bunch of bonus damage stored and you applied that spell to, say, a Podni bomb, would the bonus damage go with it?” I asked.

“Ohhhh. Detonate 100 Bolt bombs with me in the middle so I can Absorb all of them, and then we put that super-buffed Bolt spell into a new bomb.”

“And repeat.”

Gleeful violence danced in Solara’s eyes. “We could end the world if we wanted to.”

After a few more seconds of quiet meditations on apocalypse-creation, my floating sorceress looked at me and smiled. My sorceress drifted toward my desk and then rotated herself so that she was upside-down. Her long blonde hair fell around her face, and she opened her mouth.

“What’s this?” I asked.

“Test my new G-spot, please, Father?”

Invia and Podni leveled up as well. They weren’t undead yet, so they had to wait until the morning to share their unlock options. We discussed them as we did more boss rush runs.

Podni’s tier 10 reward for silk saboteur was pretty slick:

Silk Passenger

You may bring one human with you when you Silk Step. You must be in physical contact with their body for Silk Passenger to activate.

Sugar Daddy Bonus removed the requirement that the passenger be willing.

Silk Step was already a powerful ability with an enormous amount of utility.

The option to bring someone with her opened up all manner of possibilities.

If we ever needed to get someone out of a precarious situation, I could Silkmancer fabric through a crack in a door, and then Podni could go get them.

Having Silk Passenger back when we framed nobles as being part of the Reapers, or when we were driving Bruhelmond to insanity, would have been amazing. No doubt more such opportunities would arise eventually.

Her other unlock options:

Homing Traps

Passive Ability

Add a homing effect to any trap you create that explodes or fires projectiles, increasing the chances of hitting the nearest living targets. Maximum homing distance is 10 ft.

Sugar Daddy Bonus improved distance from 5 ft.

Prerequisite: Silk Artificer

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Speed of Homing Traps improved by 10%.)

(Bonus Pledge: When you set a trap, choose whether it should trigger immediately or after the target has passed by. The back of your throat is as sensitive as and produces as much pleasure as your G-spot.)

Artificer Finesse

Passive Ability

Gain an intuitive understanding of wielding artificer weapons, providing an immediate bonus to accuracy and reload speed.

Sugar Daddy Bonus improved depth of knowledge.

Prerequisite: Silk Artificer

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Gain a bonus +1 to dexterity when holding an artificer weapon.)

(Bonus Pledge: Vision is significantly improved when aiming with an artificer weapon. The back of your throat is as sensitive as and produces as much pleasure as your G-spot.)

Long-Range Artificer

Passive Ability

Create a weapon that can fire 200 ft accurately.

Sugar Daddy Bonus extended the range by an additional 40 ft.

Prerequisite: Silk Artificer

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Gain an additional 40 ft of range.)

(Bonus Pledge: Gain an intuitive understanding of long-range factors like wind and gravity. The back of your throat is as sensitive as and produces as much pleasure as your G-spot.)

Podni chose Long-Range Artificer because it expanded our options as a party. For range, Podni had her bow, but that was best for enemies within 90 ft. With a range of 200 ft, Long-Range Artificer gave us a way to attack from so far away that many enemies wouldn’t know they were in danger.

Invia’s bonus for tier 10 was even better than Silk Passenger in my mind:

Sword Swap

Active Ability

Cooldown: 5 Minutes

Swap places with any of your Silk Swords within 60 ft. You may activate Sword Swap once for every oath taken for the Silk. The cooldown does not delay activations of Sword Swap, but that use will not be available again until that individual cooldown has expired.

Sugar Daddy Bonus decreased cooldown from 10 minutes.

That was basically Silk Step if it were limited exclusively to Silk Swords.

Mobility would never again be an issue for Invia as she could now teleport around a battlefield at will.

Her swarm of Silk Swords already overwhelmed and confused enemies–and that was before we added the fire crystal blades to the mix–and now she could introduce even more chaos into a fight.

Someone who could teleport was hard to attack and even harder to defend against.

Her other level 20 unlock options were pretty intriguing as well:

Violent Display

Passive Ability

The crueler and bloodier you are in combat, the greater your bonus to speed and damage.

Sugar Daddy Bonus added the bonus to damage.

Prerequisite: Sovereign’s Blood Harvest, Rage

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: The more fresh blood coating your body, the greater the damage you deal.)

(Bonus Pledge: The results of your attacks are exceptionally bloody. Pleasure from anal is increased by an additional 25%.)

Saint Suffering

Passive Ability

Enemies you kill experience a delayed death. During that delay, they experience the full pain of their injuries. Their suffering provides a bonus to your damage and damage resistance based on the volume and intensity of suffering.

Sugar Daddy Bonus added damage resistance.

Prerequisite: Life Steal

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Amplify the pain of someone experiencing delayed death by 25%.)

(Bonus Pledge: Anyone experiencing delayed death exudes an aura of hopelessness and despair that has the chance to inflict the Fear debuff on enemies within 15 ft. Pleasure from anal is increased by an additional 25%.)

Martyr

Passive Ability

If you die in service of the Silk, resurrect with full health, full stamina, and a Protection buff.

Sugar Daddy Bonus added Protection buff.

Prerequisite: Channel Abyssal

(Optional Upgrade with Loyalty: Resurrect with Channel Abyssal activated.)

(Bonus Pledge: Your recovery inspires your party, granting them a 10% bonus to all of their stats for 60 seconds. Pleasure from anal is increased by an additional 25%.)

The choice wasn’t difficult for Invia. As soon as she read me those descriptions, I knew she wanted to take Saint Suffering. It fit her bloodlust too perfectly to pass up.

I already looked forward to watching her enjoy it.
