Chapter 78

The car quickly arrived at the hospital. In the high–end VIP ward, Sarah's leg was being re–cast, and the doctor was giving her instructions on what to be mindful of.

Henry intently listened while Jude watched Sarah with concern.

When Victoria entered, she saw this scene. Her lips tightened into a thin line as she knocked on the door.

"Am I interrupting your family time?" she said, her smile tinged with mockery.

Henry's brows immediately furrowed, and he coldly said, "Why did you push her?"

Victoria crossed her arms and walked in. "Why would I push you?"

She directed the question at Sarah.

Sarah, lying in the bed, looked pale. The gentle aura she usually exuded was gone, replaced by an air of helplessness.

"I don't know, Mrs. Harrison. What did I do to offend you? Just tell me, and I'll apologize if I did anything wrong."

But Sarah had gone about it all wrong. She should have tried to convince Henry, not frame her.

The inexplicable scheme from five years ago had caused Victoria to be labeled as a manipulative woman. Now, she didn't want to carry that label anymore.

"Ms. Miller, I don't even know you, so why would I target you?

Do you think I misunderstood your relationship with Henry?

I didn't misunderstand. Honestly, I don't care if you two sleep together.

So, could you please stop using these petty tricks against me?

If you really like him, you should confess and get him to marry you.

Or, if necessary, threaten him with your life. "

Victoria sighed slightly, her tone sincere.

"No, I didn't..."

Sarah immediately shook her head, her eyes nervously darting to Henry .

"Victoria!"

Henry's voice suddenly turned cold. His teeth gritted as he called her name. "Jude is still here. How dare you say that?"

Victoria glanced briefly at Jude, then said, "I don't see any problem with what I'm saying. I've been very clear about my position. So, can you please stop making me feel sick? Okay?"

The atmosphere in the room became charged, cold tension spreading like ice, making everyone uneasy.

At that moment, Jude spoke up. "But you did push Ms. Miller. You need to apologize to her!"

"Is that so?" Victoria asked, her voice dripping with disdain.

She glanced calmly at Jude before shifting her gaze to Sarah, who lay on the bed. "Are you sure you want me to apologize to you?"

Sarah dressed simply with a childish topknot, looked very plain, but her eyes were sharp and filled with hostility.

Inside, Sarah was panicking. All she had done was test whether Victoria truly loved Henry.

Now, seeing the situation, it was clear that Victoria no longer loved him.

But Victoria had seen through her plan and exposed her inner thoughts!

Sarah couldn't help but worry that Henry would now push her away and distance himself from her.

It was because of that incident five years ago that she managed to stay by Henry's side, and he would do anything for her.

But all these years, she never dared to mention being with him.

She was afraid that if she did, she would lose her place by his side altogether.

Her eyes flickered, and she deliberately avoided looking at Victoria.

She was jealous of Victoria. If it hadn't been for Victoria, she would have married Henry. She would have been Jude's mother.

So, she was going to frame Victoria, watch her squirm, and enjoy seeing Henry give her cold words!

"We all saw it. What's there to argue about?"

Just as the tension in the room thickened, Henry's voice rang out. His normally melodious voice was now ice–cold.

"Are you blind?" Victoria spoke lightly, her tone unbothered.

At that moment, her phone vibrated, and she smiled. She quickly opened the message from Diana and projected the surveillance footage onto the TV screen.

She manipulated the footage to zoom in. The video clearly showed Victoria walking up to Sarah, raising her hand, and barely touching her shoulder. Then, Sarah suddenly fell.

The footage made it clear. Victoria hadn't pushed her at all.

The atmosphere in the room became even more tense and unnatural.

Sarah stared wide–eyed, unable to believe it.

Panicked, Sarah quickly backtracked, "Maybe I misunderstood. My leg just hurt suddenly, and I lost my balance. I'm sorry."

Sarah was a true master of bending and stretching the truth.

Victoria gave her a mocking glance, then turned to face Henry and Jude. "Now, do either of you have something to say to me?"

Jude pursed his lips, his eyes fixed on the TV screen. He couldn't believe he had wrongly accused her!

Reluctantly, he said, "I'm sorry."

Victoria then turned to Henry, meeting his cold, chilling gaze. Her breath caught in her chest.

He looked angry.

She couldn't understand. She had been wronged, so why was he mad?

After a moment of tense silence, Henry spoke, his voice low. "I was mistaken."

Victoria raised an eyebrow. "Is that it?"

Henry's gaze was heavy as he stared at her. "What more do you want?"

Victoria replied, "I was going to treat someone to dinner, but instead, you had me brought here, wasting my fucking time. So, you're paying for the meal. Just transfer the money to me. I'll leave now. Goodbye."

She closed her phone and turned to leave.

At the sight of her leaving, Sarah quickly glanced at Henry , anxiety clouding her eyes, afraid he would be angry.

Henry strode after Victoria, grabbing her hand forcefully.
