Epilogue
Kinsley - six months later
A mix of freshly cut wood, oil and gasoline fills the air. Smells which have become very familiar to me over the last several months since I met Liam. I have been to everyone of his competitions since we got together. Watching his muscles flex and sweat bead over them is something I will never miss out on if I have the choice.
My voice is hoarse from yelling and cheering him on as he is poised to win the world championship again. Only a couple more events and he will have the title clinched. I have no doubt he will pull it off. He has been working hard to make it happen.
I can't believe how my life has changed since the fateful assignment that put us together. Neither of us had a clue how it would impact our lives. I finished the article, which turned out great, much to my boss' dismay. It didn't take long after for me to decide I could no longer work for such a pompous jerk. With Liam's encouragement and support, I quit and began freelancing.
I am forever thankful for how things worked out, even with the pregnancy scare. Which ended up being the tipping point for me. The disappointment I felt when I got my period was crushing, making me realize not only how much I wanted a baby, but that I wanted Liam to be the father. Especially after seeing how good he is with Mark. My hand goes to my stomach as a smile stretches my face, thinking it might be happening sooner rather than later.
Liam could not have been more right about Cora and me hitting it off. We became instant friends when we finally got to meet. Seeing how happy she and Lucas are together years after a whirlwind romance also helped me not feel so crazy for moving so fast with Liam. Cora introduced me to the wives of Colt, Cooper and Clint and the other men who work for Shadow Mountain Wilderness Escapes, who are also all as nice and welcoming as she is.
With all the relationships I established so quickly and being able to work from anywhere, I was pretty much living with Liam as it was, so when my lease was up three months ago, I officially moved in, much to Liam's delight. I have come to love the little town of Coyote Creek. I never imagined living so far out of town, but then again I never imagined living with a sexy lumberjack in a beautiful hideaway either, and now I couldn't imagine anything better.
