Chapter Nine #2
“That was incredible,” Tag whispered. Piper nodded her agreement against his chest, not trusting her voice.
They lay there entwined in each other’s arms until Tag started to move.
“I need to get rid of the condom, Honey. Don’t move.
” She nodded again, too overcome with the emotions that were making their way to the surface.
She didn’t know how to handle everything she was feeling.
Usually, she just pushed her feelings aside and found something to hide them behind.
She was pretty sure Tag wasn’t going to let that happen.
He returned from the bathroom and slipped back into bed.
Piper rolled to her side as if shielding herself from him.
He wrapped his body around hers, pulling her into him.
Yeah, there would be no hiding from Tag.
He seemed to know what she was thinking at every turn.
The way he watched her, studied her—he seemed to be able to see straight into her soul. And that scared the shit out of her.
Tag could feel Piper slipping away from him. What they just shared was—well, it was everything. He wanted her for so long now he couldn’t let her shut him back out. If he didn’t do something, she would put back up her walls and possibly be lost to him forever.
“Piper, don’t do this.” He could feel her body tense in his arms. He pulled her in closer, not giving her an out.
“Do what?” Her voice wavered, and he could hear the raw emotions that were running through her. He knew that she was afraid to let him in; he just didn’t understand why she was trying to shut him back out.
“Honey, look at me,” Tag ordered. He tried to roll her over to face him, but she wouldn’t budge.
“Okay, so we are going to do this the hard way.” He rolled her underneath his body so that he was practically straddling her small frame.
He was careful not to hurt her, but he also didn’t allow her any room to escape.
He looked down to see that her eyes were clamped closed.
He chuckled—she was going to fight him every step of the way.
“Piper, I know that you are trying to shut me out. It’s all right, Honey. Everything you are feeling right now is okay. I just want you to know that I’m not going anywhere.” Tag dipped down to take her mouth in a soft, wet kiss. She opened her eyes, seeming to be surprised at the gentle contact.
“I won’t push you to do anything you don’t want to do, Honey.
” He kissed her mouth again, this time with a little more force.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, running her fingers through his hair.
He knew that he wasn’t playing fair using her arousal to reach her, but she left him no choice.
He needed to convince her that he was going to stick around.
He couldn’t let her just shut him out. He knew that if he took control, he would leave her no choice but to surrender.
He gently took her wrists in his hands and secured them above her head, pinning them into the mattress.
“Piper, I need you as much as you need me.” He kissed his way down her jawline, loving the way she moaned his name. He spent time sucking her taut nipples into his mouth, one at a time, loving the way she squirmed against him. “Tell me that you want me, Honey,” he demanded.
“Yes, Tag. I want you,” she all but shouted. He continued to kiss down her body, parting her thighs, opening her up for him. She was completely vulnerable to whatever he wanted to do to her.
“Tell me that you need me, Piper.” He looked up her body to find her watching him, waiting for him to make his next move. He ran a finger through her wet folds, and she squirmed against him.
“Piper, tell me that you need me as much as I need you,” Tag repeated. He dipped his head and licked through her hot pussy with his tongue.
She sobbed her answer, “Yes, Tag, I need you.” She was shaking, overcome with need and emotions.
He knew that he wasn’t playing fair, but if Piper needed him to play dirty to show her how good they were together, he knew just what to do.
He pulled a condom from his nightstand and rolled it onto his length.
Tag took his time working his way back up her body, thrusting into her greedy opening.
She wrapped her arms and legs around him, taking everything that he was offering her.
“Open your eyes, Honey,” he ordered. She still refused to look at him. “Piper, open your eyes and look at me, now.” She squinted one eye open, and he could see her fear. “Piper, I’m not going anywhere. I’m not going to ever hurt you.” He thrust deeper into her as if willing her to believe him.
“Tell me that you believe me, Honey. Tell me that you aren’t going to hide from me again.
Don’t put up your walls; let me in, Piper.
” She opened her eyes, a single tear rolled down her soft cheek, and Tag caught it with his lips, kissing her softly.
“Piper,” he whispered. She nodded against his lips, giving him the answer that he hoped for—giving him so much hope.
He thrust into her body a few more times and lost himself and his heart to the woman that he dreamed of for more than a year.
