Chapter 11

Faint beams of pale sunlight trickled in through the cavern’s entrance. The damp ground did horrors to her body, causing a groan as she rolled onto her back. Joints around her lumbar popped while she strained to sit up from differing angles.

The threadbare blanket she snagged barely kept her warm during the night.

A part of Griselda had hoped Thrasik was going to curl up against her in attempt to drown the emotions of the last couple days.

Her heart felt heavy from their prior conversation.

She understood his intentions and where he was coming from, and honestly felt as though she’d acted a little too harshly.

He’d just been trying to help. Instead, she gave him the cold shoulder while she was stuck in her own head.

Finally able to stand, Griselda stared around the small cavern. Thrasik was nowhere to be seen. Faint drag lines carved through the dirt as they lead out to the open field. He must have gone hunting for food or something along the lines.

Her eyes wandered back to the dirt his body disturbed, hooded through her white lashes.

He truly was a massive thing. The flash of him offering his clawed hand to help lift her onto the back of his tail played through her mind.

His scales had been so smooth. His hand so soft despite the pads on the underside.

Even in her momentary anger, she truly had enjoyed his cooling touch.

A heat crawled up her cheekbones. His touch wasn’t the only thing she had enjoyed. That large maw of his nuzzling into her chest when they first met, while scary as fuck initially, ended up being something she secretly craved him to do again.

Grabbing the thin blanket and beginning to delicately fold it, she momentarily buried her face into the cloth in attempt to calm her mind. Thoughts of Thrasik slide through every inch.

His dangerous maw.

Those sharp claws.

That lethal stare.

Raising her face, Griselda stared at the ceiling of the cave and heavily sighed.

She shouldn’t be thinking about him in such a way.

Their kind can’t be together, not in the true sense.

Even if she ended up no longer tending to an altar, be it against her will or not, there’s not a world in which they could live together without troubles.

That thought didn’t stop her pussy from throbbing. Maybe because it was taboo. Maybe because she’d somehow developed feelings for him in such a short time. Her hand absently drifted to the pendant between her breasts.

How had she never noticed that it felt so similar to a scale? Thumbing the grooves along its front, she imagined holding Thrasik’s hand again. Hers was easily dwarfed. But damn, if she didn’t want to feel those hands of his wandering along her body. Exploring and touching all over again.

Just as she also wanted to wander and explore his. Though she hadn’t seen anything of the sort, he had to have a cock. Something to breed with. Especially given his size. Her mouth watered at the thought, as naughty as it felt to consider such a situation.

Rubbing her hands against her eyes, she tried to shake back into reality.

Instead, all she could think about was possibly how rough he could truly be.

He was so gentle back in the water, but she could tell he was holding back.

She wanted — no, needed to know what his limits were.

How tightly he could coil around her and tease right to the brink.

How hard he would work to quell his hunger.

Working the pendant between her fingers, her other hand drifted absently between her thighs.

Lustful need was more than what she felt.

She craved him in a way she’d never craved anyone before.

Closing her eyes, she could almost feel his claws teasing up her waist. Barely lifting the slitted hem of her dress and nosing his gorgeous maw between her legs.

Heat pooled between her lower lips. Griselda’s fingers lightly stroked along her mound over her clothes. Had that damned snake man stayed around, he might have received more than he thought he ever would from her.

Just as the thought crossed her mind, low hissing surged a chill through her spine and froze her in place. Her heart thrummed faster as her pulse raced in her ears.

She dared a glance over her shoulder and gasped, rushing to drop her hands in an act of innocence.

Thrasik stood stiffly in the entryway. His body frozen like a statue, save for the flick of his tongue as it whipped out into the air.

The air was thick with that decadent scent. The exact one he wanted to drown on and would thank for doing so. Thrasik’s scales puffed as a deep breath entered his lungs. His eyes locked onto Griselda, clutching his scale while she played with herself, standing in the middle of the cavern.

He couldn’t help himself. The air hissed from him. Just as quickly as it left, he gulped down another breath. How absolutely—

Delicious.

The word groaned through him, his tongue flicking out to selfishly gather as much of the scent as he could.

Griselda’s shoulders hardened. Her dainty ears piqued up. He watched her blushing face turn to glance at him, a small gasp leaving those peachy lips.

A grumble strained from him as she dropped her hands.

No! She was holding you. Touching you! Thinking.. of you!

A snarl almost ripped through his maw. Turning to face him, Griselda tucked her hands behind her back.

“You left. Without saying anything.” Her pale freckled face further painted itself with ruddy blush.

“I was scouting ahead to make sure the wood beasts didn’t linger from the scent of the smoke.” One of Thrasik’s clawed fingers pointed to the extinguished fire. “If I’d known you were going to wake so soon, I would have brought you along.”

Her emerald eyes bounced back and forth between his. He knew his pupils were barely existent with the sun bouncing off his face. But hers held an emotion he only recently absorbed. One he desperately wanted to experience again.

Later. Not now. Soothe yourself.

Shaking his head, Thrasik motioned his hand around the area. “Pack. It’s time we head out. We’ve stayed too long already and I don’t think this cave is as empty as we assumed.”

Griselda nodded. Her body swayed as she rocked on her heels for a moment.

Assuming she wanted privacy, he turned and sidled just past the entrance. His body puffed once more as the vision of her caressing his scale played out.

How desperately he wanted her to touch him in such a way.

How horribly he craved for her to explore his body as he did hers.

“Ugh, why do I have to ride you?” Griselda groaned, secretly wanting to walk on her own because of what Thrasik’s spine did to her.

“As I’ve already told you, because your feet will get tired and it’s a long ways until we reach Silyre. If you walk too much now, then you’ll be useless later.” The end of Thrasik’s tailed thunked against the ground as he huffed and readjusted her bag across his waist.

Griselda rolled her eyes. He must have an ulterior motive. The way his scales occasionally shuddered, there was no way he didn’t have some secretive thoughts about this.

She couldn’t complain too much though. Her hands gripped onto the bottom of his slender hips, eyes devouring the muscle and sinew between his shoulders.

The long blue spines from his head swayed as he slithered across the ground.

Between his shoulder blades sprouted palm sized lumps that peppered down until the tip of his tail.

They tapered slightly to a point, but not enough to be sharp.

Their shape reminded her of how his eyebrows were angled.

Each time his scales shuddered, the nubs vibrated in a way that surged tingles through her body. They nudged into her pussy just right. Her thighs twitched as he shook again. She consciously tried not to clench, surely he’d know she was turned on if she remotely adjusted.

She tried shifting her weight until she sat between two of the nubs. Sighing in relief until another shudder wracked through Thrasik and both her clit and ass were zapped in such a tease. Her eyelids fluttered, ears twitching as she slammed a hand to her mouth to stifle a moan.

Holy hells!

Throwing both hands to her cheeks, she glared into the back of Thrasik’s snaky head. Her face burning hot as the sun while his scales swam between her thighs.

Sooner or later she was going to get what she wanted from this damned naga, screw the morals of it. Not like she hadn’t been fully willing to throw herself at him from the moment they were alone in the cave that first night.
