Jalisa Chapter 8

I was still trying to absorb Wrath’s words and their meaning while kissing the hell out of him and answering him my way.

Excitement rose inside of me. I was scared to hope I understood him right, but my heart was shouting that I did.

Who knows how long we would’ve kissed or done other things if we hadn’t been rudely and abruptly interrupted by my dad?

His demands that I open up and tell him what we were doing pissed me off.

I wasn’t a kid. He couldn’t order me to do anything I didn’t want.

As Wrath and I broke our kiss, I muttered, “Let me up. I have someone to put in his place.”

Wrath chuckled, got off me, and stood next to the bed. He casually adjusted himself. In this light, he seemed to have an impressive package. And what I felt pushing against me supported it. I ached to see him and to do more than feel his cock through our clothing, but that would have to wait.

I got up and straightened my clothes. They were wrinkled, the bed was messed up, and I knew my hair was disheveled, but I didn’t care.

I marched to the door, unlocked it, and yanked it open.

Wrath trailed behind me. Psycho was standing there with his fist raised, undoubtedly, to knock again.

He took a step back. I came toward him with my finger pointed.

I poked him in the chest. I knew no one else would get away with this, and usually, I’d never do it, but I was enraged.

“How dare you come knocking and demand we do anything! I’m not a goddamn kid, Psycho. I’m your adult daughter. What we were doing in there is none of your business. And your order that I’m coming home with you is ridiculous. Why would I do that?” I snarled.

The hallway was filled with Fiends and Pagans. We were the center of attention, but I didn’t care. Their faces were an array of various expressions, but Rage’s smug one stood out. When I caught his gaze, he winked at me. I had to hold in my laughter. He was so fun.

“Because there’s no way you’re being claimed unless it’s by a Fiend.

And since that’s the case, you have no reason to stay.

We’ll figure out a different way to keep you safe if you don’t change your mind about your family club.

You have options. Surely, not every single member is like a brother or uncle. ”

“I’m not letting a Fiend claim me. Yes, they’re all family. It would be like incest!” I objected.

“You’re being stubborn. There are several who don’t see it as that at all. You’d be protected and guaranteed you’d be treated the way you should be,” Dad added.

I wasn’t thrilled that some Fiends wanted to get with me. There had been harmless flirting, but it wasn’t serious. Most bikers did it as easily as breathing. But maybe they saw it differently. Yuck. I held back my shudder of distaste.

I hadn’t verbally accepted Wrath’s offer, but I hoped my kiss told him I was in agreement as long as he meant everything he said.

I knew he stirred things I never felt for a man.

I opened my mouth to argue more and inform Dad I had another offer.

I was beaten to it by Wrath. He moved to stand next to me.

His arm came around my waist, pulling me to rest against his side. I fit perfectly under his shoulder.

“Jalisa is staying right here with me. There’s no need for a Fiend to claim her.

I asked, and she was about to answer me officially when you interrupted us.

What do you say, baby? Are you willing to be my old lady?

I meant every word I said.” He spoke in this low, sexy tone that went straight to my clit and made me want to moan, but I held it in, barely. He was smiling at me.

I placed my hand on his chest, smiled up at him, and said, “Yes, I’ll be your old lady, Wrath. Happily.” My gut told me I’d made the right choice, but I was still nervous.

“Over my dead body will my daughter join another club! Especially one that isn’t affiliated with ours,” Psycho shouted.

Dad lunged toward us. Ryder and Rage blocked him. The rest of Dad’s club was muttering. I think he meant to take me away from Wrath.

“Get the fuck out of my way,” Dad ordered Rage and Ryder. Chewy, the Fiend secretary, and Coaster, the Fiend road captain, held Dad while Panther whispered in his ear.

“Not until you calm down and can talk civilized about this,” Rage stated.

“You don’t tell me what to do with my daughter. Jalisa Marie, we’re going home. Get your things. We’ll talk about it where we know we’re safe,” Psycho added.

He was struggling hard against Chewy and Coaster. Panther and Scooter whispered to him. If he didn’t calm down soon, I knew he’d flip into complete psycho mode. We didn’t want that. I moved closer to him. Wrath tried to come with me, but I shook my head. He reluctantly stayed.

“Dad, you need to relax. We can talk about this here. That’s not an issue. We’re safe.”

“How do you know we’re safe? We know nothing about them personally other than what we’ve heard from others. Sure, Dylan has been here, but that doesn’t mean anything. They can hide a lot from people. I should’ve never sent you here. We can protect you at home.”

“Psycho, I know this is hard for you as a father, but we have to let them grow up. Sit with them, and let’s talk this out,” Rage offered.

Dad stood there for a long time. He was tense. His face screwed up in a scowl, with something I would’ve called fear in his expression. Finally, after a couple of tense moments, he nodded, relaxed, and said, “Alright, we’ll talk.”

Those in the rear turned and slowly made their way to the common area. I was back under Wrath’s arm. Dad walked ahead of us with Scooter on one side and Panther on the other. Dad kept glancing back at us. He acted as if he thought I’d disappear or something.

In the common room, we sat at the same table. Those not immediately involved stood or took seats at tables surrounding us. Wrath, Rage, Panther, Dad, Scooter, Ryder, and I were at ours.

“First, can we offer anyone a drink?” Wrath offered cordially.

Some guys said yes. Keno and Dylan were near the bar. They slid behind it to take orders. No one at our table said yes. It took a few minutes for the beers to be passed around. After they were, we got to business. Psycho started it.

“You wanted to talk. I want to know what happened from the moment Jalisa left this room, and you went after her, to the point you opened the door. She was furious when she walked away. I know my daughter. She wanted nothing to do with taking a Pagan as her old man. Then, lo and behold, fifteen minutes later, she’s saying she will, and it’ll be no other than the president.

I don’t believe she changed her mind that quickly.

I want to know what was said or done to make her say she would.

What is he threatening you with?” Psycho directed the last part to me.

“Dad! That’s enough. No one is threatening me with anything, least of all Wrath.

If anyone is, it’s you. You’re demanding I go home and choose a Fiend even after I told you I don’t see them as potential partners.

You don’t seem to care. Just because some of them, according to you, are willing to claim me, doesn’t change anything. It’s not happening. Ever,” I snapped.

“I’m not threatening you. I just don’t believe you’ve thought this over. Or that not one of the Fiends can’t be your old man. You’re our princess. You should remain with your kind,” Dad snapped back.

“Oh my God, we’re getting nowhere. The answer isn’t changing.

Drop it. I’ve made my decision. It’s Wrath.

You’ve all been more than happy to allow Dylan to become one of the Pagans.

You were confident in the type of club they run and that you were good with him being in it.

That can’t change just because I’m in the picture.

And lastly, I’m an adult. I make my decisions, not you.

I love you, but you don’t get to do that. ”

“Tell me what he said to make you go from pissed off to this!” Psycho yelled and slammed his fist on the table.

“You won’t yell at her. As for what was said or done, that’s between us.

It’s personal. I can say that she misunderstood what I was offering, and that was why she stormed off.

If I’d been allowed to have the private conversation I had planned with her instead of you arriving unannounced and a day before our talk, it wouldn’t have occurred,” Wrath reprimanded.

“It’s good to surprise people. You get to see what they’re made of,” Psycho snipped back.

“We’re sorry for that, and we apologize.

We need to focus on now. You’re right. We had no issue with Dylan prospecting with you.

We talked to many people who know your reputation now and in the past. They assured us your club was a good one.

We only wanted Dylan to be happy and safe.

We wish it could be with us, but it’s not.

Psycho is concerned as a father. None of us wants Jalisa to be coerced into anything.

Her abrupt change of attitude is a little concerning,” Panther said diplomatically.

“And I can respect that. The crux is that she thought I meant I was offering one of my brothers as a candidate to be her old man. That was never the case. I flubbed it. I only ever wanted her as mine. I know we’ve only known each other for a few days, but Jalisa is the woman for me.

I’ve explained why to her. She believes me and has agreed that she wants to be my old lady,” Wrath told them.

He was holding my hand. He glanced at me and smiled.

Panther and Scooter exchanged glances, and then Panther addressed me. “Jalisa, is there more you want to add or anything you want to disagree with that Wrath has said?”

“No, there’s not. It’s exactly as he said. I was angry and hurt that he seemed to say his brothers would be willing to have me as an old lady, but he wasn’t. I thought he wasn’t attracted to me. I’m very much so to him. He told me his true feelings in my room. That’s what had me changing my tune.”

Dad rolled his eyes. I chose not to call him on it.

“Well, I think that this discussion can be put to bed. Jalisa made her choice. We have to honor it,” Panther said.

It was no more out of his mouth than Dad was on his feet.

“Are you fucking crazy?” he shouted.

He reached across the table and grabbed my arm.

He tried to yank me across the top to him.

I froze in shock. Wrath scrambled to hold me in place.

Ryder and Rage were on their feet, shouting at Dad.

Panther and Scooter were on theirs, doing the same to Dad and urging him to let go of me.

The others in the room were shouting and swearing.

Then, I was crying out to Dad to let go of my arm.

It was hurting. I’d never seen him act this way, not when it was me.

Sure, we’d argue and get mad at each other, but not this.

Suddenly, Dad let go due to a punch to his face. The one who punched him was a shock to us all. Everyone quieted. There stood Dylan. He was red and breathing hard as he glared at Dad. He had his fists up, ready to fight.

“Touch her again, and I’ll put you on your ass, uncle or no uncle. You don’t manhandle her. Hear me!” Dylan thundered.

Dad’s mouth was open. He looked at Dylan in disbelief.

“And the rest of you. You’re guests. Act like it.

If you can’t behave, then fucking leave.

I’ve never been embarrassed to be part of the Fiends.

I don’t want to be part of the one-percent lifestyle.

However, after tonight, I can’t say the same.

You’ve acted like a brat who lost his favorite toy, Psycho.

I know you love Jalisa, but you’re not acting like it.

“And those of you standing here and letting him do it should be ashamed. My cousin is an intelligent woman who knows her mind and can make her own decisions. If she needs advice, she asks for it. The Pagans have been nothing but wonderful to me since I asked to join them. They’ve treated her just as well.

Your allegations that they’re not pisses me off.

Jae will be as safe, if not more so, here with us than with the Fiends.

I suggest we stop squabbling and talk about the real problem of how to disseminate the information that she belongs to Wrath.

Undoubtedly, we may have to wait until she’s got a property cut to sell it fully, but the rumors can start circulating.

We know who to tell for it to get back to them. ”

Dylan was on a roll. Typically, he was a quiet guy.

To hear him say this much was a shock. I wasn’t sure if he would’ve if he were still with the Fiends.

The Pagans had been good for him. Wrath wrapped me in his arms and held me to his chest. He gently rubbed my red arm where Dad had held me.

He waited for Dylan to finish before he said anything.

“Thank you, D. I want to say that no one puts their hands on my old lady, not even her family. Touch her like that again, Psycho, and I’ll beat your ass into the dirt. Or if it’s bad enough, I’ll bury you in it,” Wrath promised.

Dad’s head was bowed. He nodded but didn’t say a word in reply. Panther pushed him down in his chair. The others retook theirs. We were the last to do so. I hoped this was the end of the drama. I was tired, and there was more Wrath and I had to work out, but I doubted it would be tonight.
