Chapter 22 Damon #2
“You,” he says in that sexy growl, snapping his hips so hard and fast our labored breaths and the slap of our skin ring out in the quiet room. “Just you.”
Xave leans down and catches my lips in a deep, drugging kiss that makes my head spin as even more pleasure gathers low in my body. I’m so close I can barely think straight, but his kisses and the hard press of his body against mine helps settle some of the chaotic energy rolling around inside me.
Desperate for more contact, I wrap my legs around his waist and hook my ankles together, locking him against my body as he fucks me so hard and fast I can only cling to him and ride the waves of pleasure as he takes me higher and higher.
“Fuck,” he grunts against my lips. “Damon.”
My orgasm explodes out of me, and the world blinks in and out of focus as waves of pleasure roll through me and I shoot between our bodies.
Xave swallows my cries with his kisses as I ride out my orgasm, and I’m barely aware of him shuddering against me as his cock pulses deep in me. Then the most incredible warmth fills me, and I let out a giddy sound, kind of like a cross between a giggle and a sigh as he empties his load inside me.
I’ve never gone bare with anyone, and a deep sense of intimacy mixes with the intense sensations of heat and pleasure as Xave collapses on top of me, his body heavy and his kisses messy as we both come down from our releases.
“Holy crap,” I mumble when I can think, and speak, again.
Xave makes a sound that could mean anything and presses several soft kisses against my neck.
“I came hands free,” I say in disbelief, still not completely with it.
He lets out another of those pleased sounding rumbles. “You did,” he says, his voice raw and raspy. “Am I too heavy?”
“No.” I hold him tighter, enjoying the weight of him on top of me.
He presses more kisses against my neck, then works his way across my jaw and to my lips.
We stay like that for a long while, just trading soft kisses as we enjoy the afterglow, but I’m brought back to reality when Xave’s soft cock slips out of me.
I wince at the loss. I’ve never liked that part, but having Xave’s big body over mine like this makes it less uncomfortable.
“We should get dressed,” he says after a few beats, his voice tinged with regret.
“Yeah,” I agree, even though moving is the last thing I want to do.
He presses one last kiss against my lips, then slowly climbs off me.
My body feels heavy and cold as I sit up, and I feel weirdly off balance as we silently pull our clothes back on.
This obviously isn’t the first time we’ve fucked, but things feel different, and the air is heavy between us as I finish zipping up my boots.
“I meant what I said,” Xave says, breaking the lengthy silence as he tugs his hoodie back on. “You’re mine. That wasn’t just sex talk or me trying to get in your pants.”
Something flutters in my stomach, and I try not to grin like a moron as a strange sense of euphoria moves through me. “So we’re together?” I ask, hating how small and seeking my voice is.
“Yes,” he says simply. “We’ve been together since that night at the AV party, and you’ve been mine since the rave. You just didn’t know it yet.”
I grin so hard I probably look deranged as more good feels gather in my chest and roll around inside me. “There’s more of that red flag talk that should make me run away but is actually the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.”
He steps right into my space. “Here’s some more red flag talk,” he says, his tone as serious as his expression. “When I say you’re mine, I mean it. No one else gets to share any part of you. No one else gets to touch you, and if they do, I’ll kill them.”
I step even closer so we’re only a few inches apart. “Okay,” I agree. “But if I’m yours, that means you’re mine. And I don’t share. So just know that I’ll kill anyone who touches you.”
A smirk slides over his lips. “Deal.”
Leaning in, he gives me a long, deep kiss, and something inside me settles.
I don’t understand what’s going on or how we got here, but I’m not about to fight it.
Xave cares about me. He wants me, and he chose me. There’s a million reasons why we shouldn’t be together and why this is a terrible idea, but I don’t give a fuck about any of them.
Things aren’t going to be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is, and I’m smiling when Xave finally breaks the kiss and presses his forehead against mine.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
We jump apart at the loud pounding at the door, but before either of us can move, or say anything, it swings open.
“Knock knock fuckers,” someone shouts from the outside.
“Cover your junk because we’re coming in,” an eerily similar voice says a moment before one of the twins steps into the cabin. “It’s safe,” he calls over his shoulder. “No peen in sight.”
I glance at Xave.
“That’s Jace,” he says, answering my unspoken question.
“Wassup, kid?” Jace asks with a big grin as he walks into the cabin, followed by Jax and Killian. “Cuz,” he says, giving Xave a quick upnod.
“Hi,” I say dumbly as Jace flops down on the couch and rests one ankle on his knee as he crosses his legs. “Is that blood?” I ask, eyeing the red stains on his sneaker.
“Yup.” He wiggles his foot as Killian and Jax sit on the couch with him. “He was a bleeder,” he says by way of an explanation.
Xave leads me back to the couch, and I try to look like I’m calm and chill as I sit next to him.
It’s not that I’m afraid of his cousins or anything, but I feel out of place and like I should leave before someone tells me to get the fuck out.
“So, we have good news, and bad news,” Jax says as he looks between us.
“Hit us with the bad news,” Xave says.
“He wouldn’t tell us who hired him.” Jax pushes his hair back from his forehead with a casual swipe of his hand. “And that’s probably because he truly didn’t know.”
Xave glances at Jace.
“Bro should have folded like a cheap suit after what we did to him.” Jace shrugs. “But he didn’t, so it’s possible he was telling the truth and had no idea who hired him.”
“What’s the good news?” Xave asks.
“We don’t need him to tell us who his boss is because I have this.” Jace holds up a glossy school ID card.
“And I have this.” Jax holds up a set of keys. “Killer and I will go search his residence to see what we can dig up and grab his devices so Jace can see if there’s anything interesting in them.”
“And I’ll search his office and see what I can rustle up,” Jace adds. “If this guy really is in IT, then it’s highly probably that he’s the one who created and uploaded the altered ID. I’ll know for sure once I can get my hands on his computer and dig around in his system.”
Kilian glances between us. “You going to stay here tonight?”
Xave nods. “It’s too much of a risk to be out in the open until we know there’ s no one else out there.”
“Roger that.” Killian stands, and the twins follow his lead. “We’ll let you know what we find.”
“I’ll text you updates as I get answers,” Jace says. “I have no idea how long it’ll take to go through everything, but we won’t rest until we end this.”
“Thanks,” Xave says and stands.
I get to my feet feeling more awkward than I have in a long ass time.
“You good?” Jace asks, giving me a quick once-over.
I nod.
He grins. “So, are you our new cousin in law?”
“I-I…” I splutter, my gaze darting back to Xave.
He just smirks and throws his arm over my shoulder so he can pull me against his side.
“Awww, now we have another nauseatingly adorable couple to make fun of.” Jace glances at his twin. “Oh happy day, bro. Or happy night if we want to get technical.”
Jax’s smile is dark and full of mischief. “They do look cute together. Like if a member of boy band got with the lead singer of a metal group.”
“So true,” Jace agrees. “They’ve definitely got that ying and yang thing going on.”
“I wonder how long it’ll be before they start dressing alike?” Jax muses.
“That might not work so well ‘cause Xave doesn’t look nearly as good as Damon does in black,” Jace says, glancing at his brother. “But they definitely need a nickname. I’m thinking Xamon since Dave is already a thing.”
“They’re definitely a Xamon,” Jax agrees. “How long do you think it’ll be before they start finishing each other’s sentences?”
“I don’t imagine that would take too long. Do you think Xave is the type to write love poems?” Jace asks innocently.
“Maybe a love haiku,” Jax says. “But I’m thinking they’re more the types to draw hearts with their names in them all over their notebooks.”
“Oh yeah,” Jace agrees. “I can totally see that.”
“Goodbye,” Xave says loudly and points at the door.
“You’re really going to kick out your favorite cousins?” Jace says, giving Xave some convincing puppy eyes.
“Yes.” He presses a quick kiss against my temple. “Now get out.”
“So rude,” Jace huffs. “All because you can’t wait to give Damon some vitamin D.”
“Pretty sure that ship has already sailed,” Killian says with a smirk.
“Oh, it definitely did.” Jax adds and points to where we were just laying before they came in. “There’s a reason we sat on this side of the couch.”
My face flames hot, and I’m pretty sure I look like a horrified tomato as Xave just laughs good naturedly. “Jealous?” he asks.
“Nope,” Killian says at the same time Jace says, “Hell yeah,” and Jax just smiles enigmatically.
“Keep us posted on what you find?” Xave asks, his tone serious again.
All three of his cousins nod, their expressions as serious as his.
“Welcome to the family, Damon,” Jace says as the three of them head toward the door.
“You’ll get used to the chaos,” Jax adds.
“We put the fun in dysfunctional,” Killian says over his shoulder.
“Thanks,” I say, feeling both at ease and completely out of place. “For tonight, and for everything.”
“Of course.” Killian says as they file out the door. “That’s what family does.”
Xave holds me a little tighter, and I smile as I try to cover up the lump of emotion in my throat.
The door swings shut behind them, and Xave pulls me into a hug.
“They’re not so bad once you get used to them,” he says, holding me tight.
I rest my cheek on his shoulder and breathe him in. “I like them.”
“That’s good, because they like you, too.” He presses a kiss against my temple. “How about we go clean up? Because I don’t know about you, but things are getting a bit uncomfortable.”
I nod against his shoulder, and he waits until I let go before he drops his arms and steps back.
