Tessa

The second I walk into the room, I feel his eyes on me. And not just looking—he’s practically ripping my clothes off with that stare. And it hits me straight between my legs.

I walk up to Nia, and she’s all grins, probably noticing the sparks flying between us. “Tessa, meet Ryu,” she says, like I haven’t already felt every inch of his attention. “Kenji’s cousin.”

Nia’s been talking about him for weeks. But damn, she didn’t tell me he looked like this. Tall, dark, built like fucking walking sin. And his dark gaze is locked on me like he’s already decided I’m his.

And I’m not mad about it. At all.

I raise an eyebrow, giving him a once-over. There’s nothing relaxed about the way he’s looking at me. It’s like he’s already picturing all the ways he’s gonna make me come.

And okay, maybe I’m picturing that, too.

“Nice to meet you,” I say, keeping my voice even. Can’t let him know he’s already in my head.

He steps closer, and I swear the temperature in the room goes up a few degrees. “Likewise.”

His voice is deep and gravelly, like he can tell me to do anything, and I’ll listen. Hell, I might just beg for it. I can already feel the tension pulling us closer, and I’m trying real bad not to bite my lip. But damn, it’s hard.

I smirk, crossing my arms over my chest. His eyes drop, and I know exactly what he’s looking at. I’m used to guys staring, but this is different. He’s not just looking—he’s already planning how he’s gonna ruin me.

And I’m so into it.

“I’ve heard a lot about you,” I say, teasing him.

His sculpted lips twitch, and there’s this look in his eyes, like he’s already picturing me naked and squirming under him.

Oh, he’s bold. I like that.

We exchange a few pleasantries and I laugh before stepping back, but I’m not running. I’m daring him to make the next move.

The way his eyes darken tells me I’ve got him right where I want him.
