Chapter 8

Chapter

Eight

River heard Bohdi pull up outside the cabin, and he hoped to God that meant Bodhi was coming to see him so they could get back together. He knew that Bodhi was pregnant and that was kind of amazing and stunning, but it wasn’t just that. He wanted Bodhi for himself. Baby or no baby.

He’d been surprised to get the call and thrilled, too, because they had a lot to talk about. And why not start back at the place where they met, right?

He waited until Bodhi was almost at the door to open it, not wanting to seem too eager but at the same time not wanting Bodhi to think he wasn’t welcome.

Bodhi let go of the suitcase and wiped his hands on his jeans, staring at it with huge eyes. He was so pale and sickly looking that River kind of was afraid to talk to him,

River frowned. “Baby, are you okay? Was it a bad flight?”

“It’s just morning sickness, which right now is all times of the day sickness. Can I come in? It’s kind of cold.”

“Shit, of course.” River stepped back, letting him wheel his suitcase past and take off his jacket and everything once he got inside.

“I don’t suppose Branson stocked Sprite in the little mini fridge.”

“He said you had asked for Sprite and saltine crackers, so there is plenty of both.” River stood a couple feet away from Bohdi staring at him, and he wanted to touch the man so badly, but he was afraid Bohdi would fly apart.

Bohdi hung his head. “I’m sorry. I know this is a mess.”

“It’s not just your mess; it’s both of us.” River finally stepped into Bohdi’s personal space and grabbed him in a hug, kissing the tip of his nose. “I’m so damn glad you’re here though.”

“You are?” Those beautiful green eyes met his, Bohdi searching his gaze for who knew what.

“I am. I missed you like a sore tooth. And I was so mad at you for sneaking off.” River took the kiss he wanted to take then slow and deep and hoping that it told Bohdi everything he needed to say without having the words.

Bohdi wrapped both arms around his neck and kissed him back, pressing against him with a desperate sort of need.

River moaned with relief, grabbing Bohdi’s ass to hold them together.

His cock was immediately hard, and he pressed his nose against Bohdi’s neck, smelling how his scent had changed since he got pregnant.

It was the sexiest thing he’d ever smelled in his entire life.

“I need you, Bohdi.” He wasn’t going to lie, and he wasn’t going to wait if he didn’t have to. He started tugging at Bohdi’s clothes and Bohdi gave right in and let him, lifting his arms when he went to pull that sweater over Bohdi’s head.

“I was so scared you were gonna tell me to go away. That you were just gonna use this opportunity to tell me off and then I’d have to leave.” Bohdi scrambled at River’s clothes trying to get him naked too.

“I never wanted you to leave the first time, baby. Trust me.” Once they were bare, he herded Bohdi over to the bed and pushed him down. Then pulled him back up so he could strip off the coverlet, just in case. This was a hotel after all.

Then he pushed Bohdi back down on the bed and climbed up on top of him, his cock already completely hard and ready to do everything he needed to do, including knot Bohdi’s ass.

Bodhi moaned, spreading his legs and arching up, and River could smell how ready Bodhi was for him, but he was still going to feel just to make sure. Just to make Bodhi open for him, to give him a chance to adjust.

He stuck two fingers against Boone’s hole, and they slipped in. It was a tight fit, but the wet, slick heat opened for him, and River panted, his cock so ready to be in there, his knot swelling and swelling.

“I gotta be inside you, baby.” He ground the words out hoping it didn’t sound like Otter-speak, but then again, if it did, unless he had said it in Portuguese, his mate would understand.

Bodhi nodded sharply, his head bobbing, his hips rocking up. “I’m ready. I need it. Give it to me. Knot me.”

He could feel it, how ready Bodhi was. The muscles around his fingers gripping him tightly. So he pulled free and stuck his cock right there. No condom this time. They didn’t need it. There was just them, their skin, their heat, together.

He’d never knotted anybody before Bodhi, not like this. Even at Christmas he had felt a little separated, but now they were one giant hormone striving together to get where they needed to be.

“More,” Bodhi demanded. “Give me more, River.”

“Amorzinho.” He slapped his body against Bohdi’s, thrusting deep, his ass clenching, his balls drawing up, his thighs threatening to cramp he was moving so hard.

Bodhi cried out under him, blunt nails digging into his shoulders, legs coming up to grasp his waist. They both moaned together, and River ground down into Bodhi’s body, trying to just become one with him.

Then Bodhi was coming for him, the wet ripples of his orgasm spreading as wet heat fell on River’s belly.

That was all it took for his knot to fully engage, and he felt as if it had not only happened so fast, but it had also taken forever.

He slammed into Bodhi one last time and came and nothing had ever felt so right. He was staking his claim.

They collapsed together, panting, and he rolled to one side so he wouldn’t crush Bodhi down. His mate was pregnant, after all. They needed to be a little bit careful, at least.

That idea after the violence of how they came together was so ridiculous that all he could do was start laughing.

Bodhi clutched him tight and laughed right along with him until tears streamed down his face, and he had a feeling that Bodhi had needed to release that tension.

“I have you, baby. I promise. I have you right here, and I’m not letting go.”

Bodhi just nodded against his shoulder, sniffling. He knew there was still going to be a lot of talking going on, but right now it didn’t matter. All that mattered was that they were together, and they could work this out.
