Chapter 14

Farrah finally introduced her boyfriend to me.

I could see how happy she was with him. That was all I ever wanted for my best friend.

Hopefully, this relationship worked out for her.

She had a glow about her that made me smile.

As long as she was happy, I’d be for her too.

The man she was with had a big grin on his face since he saw her.

They hadn’t ridden together but met each other at the place we were double-dating at.

His name was Jace, and he was cool. As long as he treated my friend right, he’d be okay with me.

We were out at the bar named Tito’s Crush, and I could admit the vibe was nice. Nash kept his arms around me the whole time. He must’ve thought I’d run away from him, but he didn’t have to worry about that.

When we made the introduction, Farrah and I learned that Jace and Nash already knew each other. They went to school together and played sports. This was a small world.

“What do you want to drink?” Nash leaned over and whispered in my ear.

We were sitting in a booth waiting to be served. Who knew when that would be since it was packed in here tonight?

“I’ll take a strawberry martini.”

He reared back with his eyes widened. “What? You want what?”

I dropped my head, trying not to laugh. “Stop being dramatic.”

He chuckled. “I’ll make sure I order that for you then. Just know if you have to, you’ll be putting those lips to good use tonight.”

I gasped, putting my hand to my mouth. “Nash.”

“Nah, stop acting like you’re shy when your ass knows you’re not.”

That was true, especially in the bedroom. I showed no signs of shyness. I gave my man what he wanted and vice versa.

“I never said I was shy. But you know we can’t talk like this in front of company. Just wait until we get back in the car.” I winked at him.

The server came and took our order. When she left, we continued our talk.

Jace and Farrah were in their own world, as were Nash and me.

Since both of the relationships were new, this double date was for us to bond together.

As of now, I couldn’t see it working out since we were all in our own little worlds.

I leaned over and whispered. “After I get a few drinks in me, we should go dance.”

He smirked, licking his kissable lips. I wanted to feel them on mine. “I’m down for that, but you know we don’t even need the liquor for courage. We can just go for it.” He wiggled his eyebrows.

“You know what? Let’s do it,” I told him, jumping up. I loved dancing with Nash. He stayed on beat too. I turned to Farrah. “We’re going to hit the dance floor.”

Farrah grinned. “Oh Lord, Nash. Kenzlee’s gonna show you out.”

He laughed. “Oh, trust me, I already know how she gets down.”

I waved both of them off and headed to the dance floor.

Nash pulled me into his arms and held me in his embrace as we rocked and gyrated against each other.

I had my arms around his neck, smiling in his face.

Every so often, he’d lean down and kiss my lips.

He was too sweet for his own good. Gosh, I loved him so much.

“With the way you’re moving against me, I’m ready to do some things to you.”

I bit down on my bottom lip. “I’m all for that. You know I can’t wait until we get home. I need you.”

Nash froze and eyed me intensely. “You’d better stop before I cancel this double date and get you the hell out of here.”

I threw my head back and giggled. “At this point, we can. I’m hot for you, baby.” I pressed myself against him, and he groaned. I felt his erection, and he was brick hard. “Are you ready for me?”

“Hell yeah.”

I knew he’d say that. Since we’d started making love to each other, we had to go at it several times a week. I’d never done anything like that in previous relationships, but with Nash, it came naturally. I just so happened to look up and notice that Farrah had thrown her hands in the air.

“I think our drinks are at the table,” I stated to Nash.

“Are you ready to head back?” he asked.

I nodded. “Yes, but let me quickly run to the bathroom.”

“Do you need me to go with you?”

I smiled and pecked his lips. “Nah, I got it. I’ll be right back.”

Nash being Nash walked me to the bathroom anyway. The only thing I did was shake my head. If he had it his way, I’d never leave his sight.

“I don’t want anybody trying to hit on you,” he voiced.

I laughed. “If you say so.”

I loved that he was overly protective and wanted nothing to happen to me.

That was something I’d searched for my whole life.

Nash was a dream come true in my life. I just hoped we could make it forever.

Even though we were just beginning our relationship, I envisioned a forever future with him.

Every day, I had to thank God for sending a man like him into my life.

If Nash hadn’t stopped me that day at the gym, who knows where I’d be or what I’d be doing?

When we reached the entrance of the restroom, Nash stopped.

“I’ll be right here,” he stated.

“Okay I’ll be quick.”

As I entered the ladies’ restroom, I was glad there wasn’t a line.

I could do my business and head back to my man.

Once I was done, I headed to the sink and washed my hands.

Out of nowhere, I smiled at myself in the mirror.

The woman who looked back at me appeared to be happy, which was all I wanted for myself.

As I exited the bathroom, I bumped into someone.

“Oh, excuse me.”

My eyes widened when I saw who the man was. It was someone I never wanted to see ever in my life.

“Jonathan...” The only thing I could do was stare at him when I called his name.

He smiled at me and then tried to come in for a hug. I pushed him back. Of course, his ass would try something with me. He didn’t give a damn about anything but himself. Why would I even want to hug him?

“Don’t touch me,” I snapped, glowering at him.

“Aww, man. Don’t act like that. We need to talk about something,” he voiced.

I frowned, stepping away from him. “No, we have nothing to talk about.”

Johnathan kept talking as if what I said didn’t matter to him. “The woman I cheated on you with... we’re not together anymore. The baby she was carrying wasn’t mine.”

I screwed my face up. “I don’t care, Jonathan. That’s not my problem. Now, please let me pass so that I can go.”

He shook his head, clenching his jaw muscles, a sign he was angry. Not that I gave a damn.

“You need to care. I want you back, Kenzlee. We could forget about what happened and move on with each other again. I know you want me.”

I scoffed in disgust and rolled my eyes. Saying nothing else, I pushed Johnathan out of my way, only for him to grab my upper arm and shove me against the wall. The look in his eyes scared the hell out of me.

I grabbed my arm in pain. “Oww!” I yelled out.

As soon as those words left my mouth, Nash appeared with a scowl on his face.

“Are you good?” His eyes studied my body and narrowed when he saw me holding my arm.

He rushed toward me, pushing Jonathan out of the way.

“What the fuck happened?” He turned to look at Jonathan.

“What the fuck did you do to her?” he growled, stepping in Jonathan’s face.

“What’s it to you?” Jonathan snapped back.

With lightning speed, Nash jacked Jonathan up and slammed him against the wall. “I will fuck your ass up. I’m not going to ask you again. What the fu—”

“He shoved me against the wall,” I cut in, since I knew Jonathan wouldn’t open his mouth to say a damn thing.

Whatever Nash gave him, he deserved it. He never took no for an answer. If things didn’t go his way, he’d bitch or try to get his way. It would never happen again.

Nash tilted his head to the side and narrowed his eyes. For a minute, I thought they had changed to a different color. “He did what?” Nash bellowed.

“Aye, ma—”

Jonathan didn’t get a chance to finish what he had to say.

Nash drew his fist back and punched Jonathan in the face.

Jonathan’s knees buckled, but he didn’t fall, nor did Nash allow him.

Nash took a step back and did the combo he’d taught me before he slammed his fist into Jonathan’s face again, sending him to the ground.

That was when Nash turned his attention back to me. He came and cupped my face in his large hands. “Are you good?” he asked again, examining me.

I gave him a small smile. “Yes, I’m fine.”

He nodded and leaned down until our foreheads touched. “Damn, I want to kill him for touching you,” he growled.

I wrapped my arms around him. “I’m fine now. Thanks for coming to my rescue.”

He scoffed. “Always and forever.”

We shared a kiss.

“Let’s get out of here before I have to crash out on someone else,” he voiced.

I chuckled. “Yeah, I don’t need you getting into trouble, but Jonathan deserves everything that comes his way.”

He nodded. “Karma is a bitch.”

I chuckled and slightly pulled away from him. We headed out of the entrance to the restroom. Once we told Farrah and Jace what happened, we drank the drinks we had paid for and then got out of there.
