Chapter 5

“There you are! Why didn’t you never come to bed last night?” Patti asked as I was pouring myself a cup of coffee. “Because you reeked of alcohol and I am sick of sleeping next to someone who is so absolutely indifferent to me,” I rasped my answer.

“Oh come on Jack! It was one night. I don’t go out drinking that often,” Patti pushed back. “What happened? Were you upset because you were wanting some pussy and you didn’t get any?” she chided.

“FUCK YOU PATTI!” I screamed. Patti jumped because I have never yelled at her before and I have never used any swear words in front of her either. It was silent for several moments.

“The thing that sucks is that you are so self-centered that you really don’t even see how you’ve treated me over the last year. “You are so fucking indifferent to me that I am not your husband anymore. I am just a bothersome roommate to you,” I hollered.

“Tell me, Patti. When was the last time you said you love me? When was the last time we had sex?” I rasped. “I dare you to tell me Patti…When was it?”

“Don’t be silly Jack. I tell you that I love you all the time,” Patti claimed. “No Patti, the last time you said you loved me was 9 months ago on my birthday when you gave me a half assed blow job,” I shouted. “And THAT was the last time you had any sex with me,” I yelled.

There was another long silence. “So who is it Patti? Who ARE you fucking? It sure as hell isn’t me,” I rasped. “Oh Jack I swear…I am not fucking anybody,” Patti gasped. “Gee that makes me feel so much better since you aren’t even fucking me,” I answered tersely.

“You’re right Jack! I have been too wrapped up in myself and my career,” Patti told me softly. “I promise I’ll do better and I will find ways to include you in the things I have to do for work,” Patti offered.

“I don’t know Patti. As I was falling asleep alone last night, I found myself wondering why we bother to stay married.

You obviously think that you and your job are way above me as a lowly writer,” I growled.

“If this is what 5 years of marriage looks like, I sure as hell don’t want to see what ten years would look like. Or even six years,” I told Patti.

“Please Jack. Don’t say that! I will make this up to you Jack, I promise,” Patti blurted out. “Yeah? And how is that ever going to happen? You have always lorded it over me that you have a master’s degree in law and criminology and I only have a stupid bachelor’s degree in English Composition.”

“Of course I am proud of my accomplishments. But that does not mean that I look down at you,” Patti protested. “Yes Patti you do! Everything that I do feels like you are competing against me. Every conversation has to go your way,” I answered back.

“And the stupid thing is that I out earn you with my stupid little books every year. Just the three bonus checks I received this year allowed me to pay off the 300K we still had outstanding on the condo. And I was the one who has made all of the payments leading up to that while you’ve been saving most of your money for when you are ready to dump me,” I hissed.

“So, how is that for not being inferior?” I snarled.

“Oh Jack, I have no intention to dump you,” Patti called out. “Yeah? Well it sure looks like that with all the money you saved and by how you treat me like a bother day in and day out,” I answered right back. “I promise, I’ll do better Jack,” Patti muttered. “We’ll see,” I mumbled.

********

I saw Dez out on her patio when I came out to drink my coffee and read the sports page of my newspaper.

When she waved over at me, I waved back.

I felt a little twinge in my gut as I gazed at her sexiness.

She is wearing black see thru panty hose and what looks like a cream colored man’s dress shirt. She looks so fucking sexy!

This time, the twinge was not of guilt. This time the twinge was my balls wanting to pump a load of cum into Destiny’s sweet young pussy. The smile on Destiny’s face told me that she has no ill feelings about yesterday.

I was about to go back into the house for another cup of coffee when Patti came out onto the patio fully dressed in a pair of skinny jeans and a tight fitting tank top. “I called an uber to go get my car from work,” Patti told me as she kissed me on the cheek. “Then I am going the mall.”

When Dez saw Patti leave in an uber, she came to the fence and called me over to her. “I want to say that I’m sorry if yesterday caused you any turmoil,” Dez told me when I joined her at the fence.

“Oh don’t apologize for that! That was the hottest thing that has happened to me in longer than I care to think about,” I answered. “I’m sorry I freaked out at the end. But that won’t happen again,” I added.

“So, are you saying you’d like there to be a next time?” Destiny asked with a sassy smile on her face. “As often as we can get away with it,” I answered with a smile of my own. “Whenever you’d like to,” I added.
