Sometimes, Sky could not understand himself, especially that fucking pumping organ under his chest. He was certain he was still somewhere on the school premises since he had carefully checked every student leaving one by one.
Unless the idiot had climbed over the high railings behind the school and ended up killing himself.
Instead of going home and thinking of beating that faggot tomorrow because he did not show up, his feet brought him inside the school, looking for him for no rational reason.
The sun was already out, and the school was surprisingly quiet.
Although he could see some professors and students from the college founders, very few could be seen in the senior high school building.
When he walked down the halls of the senior high department, he noticed that the lights were out.
They usually left the lights on here, but he could still clearly see the hallways anyway.
Sky’s intuition promptly told him something was not right.
He slowly walked down every hallway and carefully sensed his surroundings.
Just as Sky was about to pass the way to the parking lot, something on the floor caught his eye.
A pair of lenses lay abandoned on the ground, and his heart instantly sank—a very familiar pair of eyeglasses.
He squatted on his knees and picked up the lenses.
He studied them closely and gently ran his fingers along the temples.
He knitted his brows and gritted his teeth as a horrible thought began swirling in his head.
Trying to calm down as much as possible, he walked down the hallway silently and carefully, listening for any sounds his ears could catch.
“P-lease s-top. W-hat d-id I do?”
A well-acquainted voice begged, sending a pang directly into his chest. He took a deep breath, tried to calm down, and silently walked towards the cast of shadows reflected in the area.
“What did you expect? You were a mistake the moment you were born. Nobody wanted you, nobody likes you, and nobody ever will. And listen carefully, faggot. Stay the hell away from Sky fucking Granger. If I catch you anywhere near him again, you’ll wish you’d never set foot in this school.”
Sky bit the inside of his cheek and let out a shaky breath, trying to contain the rage building inside him as another familiar voice reached his ears. His hands trembled with anger, his nails digging into his own skin until they broke and bled. He could never go wrong.
Sky swiftly shifted to go nearer the shadows, sticking his back against the sheer wall as he watched the scene before his very eyes. His horns quickly emerged when he saw how they threw punches and beat Jude Finn the hell out of him.
“I think he’s had enough. Let’s move. We don’t want anyone finding out we were here.”
Sky ground his teeth so hard it felt as though they might shatter. Rage boiled through every vein in his body, a destructive onset screaming for blood and vengeance.
“I’m not satisfied yet. One more punch.”
Every punch that landed felt like a dagger twisting deeper into his chest. His fists clenched at his sides as he waited for the perfect moment to strike and pull him out of hell.
“You’re bringing so much trouble in this sch—”
His body reacted instantly. He did not let him finish his sentence. He moved in a blur, intercepting the familiar man’s punch midair. His fingers clamped around the fist with crushing force.
“You’ll regret why you did this…” Sky said coldly, but behind his tone was wrath and commanding power.
“S-ky…” They muttered in shock when they saw him.
Despite their masks covering half of their faces, he could vividly figure out who exactly the hell these assholes were.
With extreme force, he flung the man aside.
A howled cry erupted from his throat as he slammed into the ground.
The other two immediately seized the opportunity, charging toward him with murderous intent.
He caught their movements from the corner of his eye and effortlessly slipped past their attacks.
Before they could recover, his hands lashed out.
He grabbed both of them by the wrists and jerked them forward with feral might, nearly wrenching their arms from their sockets.
Their startled cries filled the air as painful panic flashed across their faces.
Towering over all three of them, he swatted aside their pathetic attacks as though they were nothing more than kindergarten children fighting over lollipops.
He swiftly twisted their arms behind their backs the moment they tried to move, forcing them to face away from him.
Sky held both of their wrists in a taut, controlled grip, applying enough pressure that a single wrong move could snap them out of place.
They cried out in pain and defeat.
“Who the hell has permitted you to do this?” he asked, gritting his teeth in total madness.
Never before had anyone dared lay such a vicious beating on Jude Finn without his consent. If anyone was going to beat the hell mercilessly out of Jude Finn, it would be him—and him alone.
“Why do you care now, Sky Granger?” he jerked his head to the person who was not in his grasp, the familiar sarcasm coming from one of his long-time enemies, someone whose existence he constantly questioned: Why was he still alive? Why had he been allowed to keep this asshole breathing this long?
Estevin Simbajon. The infamous hockey player. A sophomore medical student. Son of a bitch.
“Isn’t this what you wanted? To beat this fag until he’s lifeless?” Estevin said, with a typical arrogant demeanor, showing off despite his hidden face.
A smug smile formed on Sky’s face.
“Why didn’t you just kill him right away then? Are you scared, you fucking wimp?” Sky snarked.
“We would have done it…but a knight in shining armor came to save his ugly frog in distress,” Estevin retorted with a sardonic smile.
“Coming from the desperate frog prince just to satisfy his bitch. Do you know that you are like a puppet?” Sky said. “You are being played, Estevin motherfucker Simbajon. A pathetic toy slave.”
“As long as I can fuck her, that only matters to me.” Estevin shrugged.
“Well, I fucked her first before you did.” A quirky smile formed on Sky’s lips. He caught the brief flicker of sourness that crossed Estevin’s face at his remark. “I would not want her vagina anyway. It’s fucking yours. You know me, I am a one-use and discard type.”
“You want some nerd twink ass now, then?” he provoked. “You know, I would not mind trying too. My dick would be glad to fuck your gay brother. What about that?”
At the mention of his brother, Sky’s entire body went rigid. His blood exploded into a furious boil, and a violent rage surged through him with such force that it nearly drowned out every rational thought. Bringing his brother into this crossed a line that should never have been touched.
He wanted blood and death now.
The last hanging thread of Sky’s restraint snapped. He released the two men from his grip only to seize them by the head and slam their skulls together with brutal force, hearing them crack. Their agonized cries rang through the hallway, but he was already charging toward Estevin.
Estevin tried to retreat, but he was already too late.
Sky closed the distance in an instant and drove his fist into the right side of his head.
The savage blow connected directly with his ear, making his eardrums ring violently.
Estevin staggered back while clutching his ear from the impact.
The painful blow made Estevin’s vision blur for a moment.
He tried to steady himself and regain his footing, but before he could fully straighten up, another punch slammed into the opposite side of his head, sending him stumbling onto the floor.
Sky’s gangster instinct easily detected the threat behind him, and he was quick to avoid the attack from his other pal.
The other man lost his balance when his sneak attack failed.
Before he could recover, Sky drove a vicious kick into his back, sending him crashing face-first onto the floor.
An excruciating scream tore from his throat as pain exploded through his body.
He could have sworn he heard his bones crack on impact.
The other one looked at his comrade, then averted his gaze at Sky.
He rushed at him with a pretense of anger, and Sky effortlessly took his fist. He squeezed his balled paw until his expression twitched.
He strangled him around the neck, and he lifted him off his feet.
He choked for air. The veins along his temples and neck bulged substantially as he fought to drag air into his lungs.
The bullshit surrendered, tapping his arms vigorously in defeat.
Sky did not grant his request. Instead, he dug his thumb into his neck, and his eyes bulged out as he fainted under his grasp.
Before he was completely out of life, Sky threw him into the air, hitting his back on the floor.
The sound of his skull hitting the concrete echoed in the parking lot.
These rats have the guts to fight a well-trained boss. Who do they think they are?
Just when Sky was about to search for Jude, he was hit by a baseball bat on the side of his head.
The impact made a loud, ringing explosion inside his ears.
Estevin clearly had not aimed just to damage his own hearing.
Sky’s senses faltered instantly, his hearing dulled, and his field of vision blurred.
When he forced himself to look up, he saw Estevin gripping the varnished bat with a smug expression plastered across the rest of his unmasked face.
“You don’t know how long I waited to kill you, Sky fucking Granger,” Estevin snarled.
Sky staggered backward, struggling to steady himself.
He instinctively touched his right ear from the painful impact, but before he could recover, one of the accomplices drove a punch straight into his side while his guard was down.
Another sharp blow followed, and Sky immediately felt something crack in his nose.
Sky braced one hand against the concrete wall, trying to keep himself from collapsing to the ground.
He forced himself to regain his composure and swiftly caught the incoming fist of the guy who had punched him earlier.
His grip tightened mercilessly around the man’s hand, crushing it as if it were nothing more than a worthless piece of paper.
“Ahhhh!” he screamed in agony.
“Don’t fucking piss me off,” Sky growled coldly.
Despite his condition, he kept a firm grip on the man’s hand before violently twisting it.
“Ahh, p-lease, stop. Stop. Sky. Ahhh!” he begged.
Sky heard the bone crack before driving a punch straight into the man’s face, sending him collapsing onto the ground.
Just as Sky turned to face Estevin, another blow from the baseball bat struck the back of his head.
He immediately grabbed the spot where the bat landed as the pain doubled this time.
He closed his eyes as he winced in torturous pain.
This time, his vision went dark when he blinked.
He forcefully tried to pry his eyes open and slowly lifted his gaze toward Estevin, only for a fist to smash against his face.
When another punch came flying toward him, Sky quickly dodged it, causing Estevin to lose his balance. The opening space gave Sky the perfect chance to slam a brutal punch into his side. A sickening crack resounded, and Sky knew one of Estevin’s ribs had broken.
“Ahh, fuck!” Estevin cursed, holding his side in pain.
Sky did not give him time to recover. He drove a hard kick into Estevin’s back, sending him crashing loudly onto the floor.
Sky immediately closed the distance and pinned him down before he could even get back up.
He yanked him to face him, gripping the collar of his white cloth tightly.
The buttons of his long sleeve ripped out.
The force of his hold made Estevin struggle to catch his breath.
Straddling over him, Sky smirked coldly.
“Watch yourself, dickhead.” Sky threatened as he harshly shucked the black mask covering his face.
He was not wrong.
Estevin motherfucker Simbajon, it definitely was.
Despite struggling for his very life, Estevin’s lips curved into a taunting grin. Blood dripped from his mouth as he spat at him, refusing to surrender even in the face of death. Estevin’s display only provoked Sky’s honor and pride, and the demon inside him shouted, “Kill him!”
Sky answered by spitting a mouthful of blood straight into his face.
Then he unleashed a relentless barrage of punches, his fists crashing into every side of Estevin’s head.
One blow followed another. He lost count long before Estevin went unconscious, but the fury consuming him was far from satisfaction.
A ferocious part of him wanted nothing less than to tear his head from his shoulders.
Over the years, this had always been Estevin Simbajon’s specialty: running his mouth and provoking people with words, yet when it came to physical fighting, despite his masculine physique and utilization of sparring gear, he was no more of an expert than Sky.
Sky jolted defensively when someone tried to touch his biceps and slightly grabbed and pulled his long white sleeve, stained with a lot of blood.
But instead of knocking that someone off who tried to touch him, he felt there was a familiar electricity telling him not to.
Sky slowly looked at the awful condition of a pitiful boy on his side.
Jude shook his head for him to stop, and just like that, Sky could feel his muscles suddenly ebb.
“P-lease s-top,” he said, tangled in complexity, which only made his heart clench.
It drove him furiously mad at how his face looked.
It was busted and broken just because of what these assholes had done.
They had to pay for what they had done. Sky’s fury still clawed at him, demanding more, but then his gaze fell on Jude.
He watched him squint, desperately trying to focus despite the absence of his lenses.
It brought those striking gray eyes into full view, and for a moment, everything else faded away.
The anger that had threatened to consume him faltered.
Just like every time before, he found himself yielding to Jude’s unspoken plea, allowing the rage to loosen its grip.
Bullshit! he screamed mentally.
Before it got worse, Sky looked back at Estevin, who was unconscious, and spat a ball of saliva stained with blood on his face again. He stood up and kicked him on the side as he walked to get the eyeglasses of Jude Finn, which had fallen on the floor. Then, he growled mentally.
Fuck this pumping organ!
