7. Beast

Chapter Seven

BEAST

“Alright so you can buy into this last big investment, and the Feds would never even think about looking into you.”

Don my accountant sat at the big oak table running down numbers as I jotted down notes every now and then.

My mission was to clean all of my money to the point where I never had issues when it came to the Feds.

Unlike a lot of niggas, I had dreams of getting out of the game.

I would hand it over to whoever I saw fit.

First, I wanted to make sure all the restaurants, gyms clubs, and now the real estate companies that I was about to start from the ground up were done.

I wanted all those things to bring in at least to close of what the drug game brought in for me yearly.

I was paid and I do mean paid by the long way.

I had money buried, money in different accounts and safes that I never spoke upon with anyone but God.

I trusted no one when it came to my money.

“Buy the property and get a lineup of some good agents that would like to come work for my company. We will make a blueprint of how everything needs to be ran by next week. In the meantime, I’ll think of some things as well. That’s a good look.”

I felt good today. Everything was working out in my favor. I was closer to my dreams and that always put me in a very good mood. I had shit running smooth and that was a plus.

“Most definitely. This is going to be a good look.”

His phone pinged as he looked down at it and smiled. I never was the nosey type but curiosity did get the best out of me.

“What got your goofy ass smiling nigga?”

He chuckled as he showed me the phone. My mouth formed into an O as I looked a little too long at the picture before me. Kayori had a red sheer mini dress on with red heels. I forgot I even put this nigga on her to watch and get to know her.

“I'm taking her out tonight. Hopefully, I get to smash! You see how good her ass looks with makeup?”

He was a shallow ass nigga like Teflon.

“Dead that,” I spoke seriously surprising myself. I felt like Kayori was delicate as fuck. Without having to tell me, I knew she had been through some tragic type of shit like myself. I put myself in her shoes and knew what it felt like to go through some rough shit that you refused to talk about.

“Nigga what?” He asked confused and disappointed at the same time. Challenging me was the wrong move. Challenging a nigga like me is what put a lot of niggas like Don in their grave.

“Nigga you heard me! I said dead that shit. As a matter of fact, give me your phone,” I stated the shit nonchalantly but was dead serious. Time was ticking and patience is something I didn’t have.

“Nigga I ain't your bitch. Fuck out of here.”

Kill this pussy ass nigga! He's disrespecting you! Teach him a fucking lesson now, Beast!

I haven’t heard that stupid ass voice for two days since my encounter with Kayori, now Don was triggering me. Another reason to piss me off. I pulled out my gun and placed it on my desk. I stroked it, never fully letting it go.

“I ain't gon’ ask you again nigga.”

His pride was hurt, that was too bad. I was his boss, not the other way around.

He handed that phone over as he mumbled shit.

If that voice wasn’t fucking with me, I probably would have pistol-whipped his ass to death.

I went to the message, screenshotted the picture then sent it to myself.

After that, I took a couple more screenshots of the conversation.

It had her address and the time she would be ready for their so-called date.

I sent that to my phone as well. I blocked her number then deleted it out of his phone along with the picture, then handed it back to him satisfied.

“Come on Praise! She's a cool chick. I was lowkey feeling her.”

He sounded like a bitch. He wanted to fuck her and leave her more fucked up than she already was.

“Nah I changed my mind on that one. She’s mine. You only like her with makeup anyway, yeah?”

Rolling his eyes and tucking his tail, he stood to leave like the bitch nigga he was.

“Always good doing business with you, Don,” I talked to his back.

It was really no hard feelings. I didn’t even really know why I had jealousy running through my bones.

I wanted a taste of Kayori too. She looked good to me with or without makeup.

The only difference with me was, I wanted to be her friend as well.

I wanted to get to know her better and see if I could help her in any way that would make her a better person.

I laughed at myself, cause I never saw myself going this far with anyone.

Kayori was a piece of work.I knew she would give me a hard-ass time but I was ready for whatever.

A tap at my door snapped me out of my thoughts as I yelled for the person to come in.

Don walked in again and closed the door behind him.

I raised my brows and looked at him with curiosity.

I liked Don, he was a cool nigga. I didn’t want to have to kill him either but he was working on my last damn nerve.

“Get to the point nigga, since you doubled back. Get whatever the fuck you need to off your chest.”

Nodding his head, he came back to my desk and took a seat before locking his hands in front of him.

“I got love for you my nigga, but it's hard to work under these circumstances with the threats and the gun pointing. You try to force niggas into being your bitch! That shit is not cool B.”

Chuckling, I knew that was some shit Teflon must have been spitting.

He and Don were boys, so in my eyes, they both pillow talked with one another.

I remained quiet. I had no response for what the nigga was saying.

They already knew the answers. If you didn’t like how the fuck I worked my shit then you could move around.

I didn’t force nothing or no one to work for me.

Getting the picture, he stood as I lit my blunt and stared at him with a blank face, he continued his bitching.

“I lowkey was feeling shorty, no matter what you say. I feel like that’s fucked up. I just hope she doesn’t get too caught up in your shit like my cousin Nia did. She done been through…”

Picking my gun up, I stood to my feet as his eyes grew big.

It was almost comical how his eyes hit the door like he wanted to run.

Straight bitch made nigga. I said nothing cause that fucking voice was saying the craziest shit to me.

He upset Beast and I was barely able to control him inside of me.

I walked up to him anxiously, with the gun secured tightly in my hands as I raised it and slammed it into his face.

The voice got quiet in my head as I inhaled then exhaled.

Standing over him as he winced in pain holding his busted lip and nose, I gave him a nice knowing smile.

“I let you get shit off your chest cause I try to give silly motherfuckers like you the benefit of the doubt! Don’t you ever bring my Nia up to me like you checking or blaming me for some shit I can’t control.

You didn’t give a fuck about Nia nigga. You and your crack head ass momma disowned her out of jealousy and hatred.

I was all she had. I made amends and killed any nigga that had something to do with her death.

You ain't on my payroll cause of Nia, Don. You on it because you good with numbers. Count your fucking days nigga! Get the fuck out of my office before I end you now.”

I walked away from him calmly, but on the inside, I wanted to kill him so bad it made me feel pain in the pit of my stomach.

I didn’t look at him as he stumbled out of my office with blood leaking behind him.

I hit my blunt as hard as I could as I tried to ease that voice out of my system so I could think more logically.

I couldn’t. Don crossed the line and he made me think too much about him.

When I started thinking too much about a person, I killed them.

I start wondering if the nigga was plotting to kill me or fuck my operations up.

I also was wondering if he was only working for me to get close to me to get revenge for Nia.

Sure, I faulted myself like I faulted my baby momma but we were not the ones that placed that bomb on her ass.

“I'm going to kill him Beast.”

I spoke out loud to the voice as I felt good all over like I spoke the magic words. “Good boy!”

I stood to leave the office for the day because I needed to get to my medicine and put my plan in motion for Kayori tonight.

Later That Night…

When Kayori came to the door, I wanted to take her pretty thick ass all the way down. She gave me a confused look. We stared each other down with nothing but silence before she broke the ice.

“Mr. Praise why are you at my home?”

She asked smartly as she leaned her weight on one leg placing her delicate manicured nails on her hip.

Her smell lingered in the air, making me want to embrace her and bury my nose into her neck like I did my daughter when she smelled so good.

Kayori smelled like something from heaven, I loved when a female smelled good and not like weed or cigarettes.

“I’m your date for the night. The shit with Don is dead.”

“Excuse me?”

She gave me a death stare and her nostrils flared like she was starting to get pissed with my bluntness.

“I never repeat myself.”

I stood back a little to really get a good look at her.

Her hair was bone straight with a part down the middle.

Her mini red dress stopped mid-thigh causing my jaws to clench once I saw she oiled her legs down.

She was really about to go out with this lame ass nigga Don dressed like this, showing all her curves and looking sexy as fuck.

I couldn’t even hide how upset I was at the thought of her being with that nigga Don tonight.

“Damn so you were gon’ leave out the house looking like this?”
