9. Praise #3
“Girl sit your mother fucking ass down before I shoot you! I’m too damn old to be fighting you!
Don’t ever stand up in my house like you running shit!
Don’t ever tell me either how I should’ve raised my fucking son ya hear?
You can raise your kids to be saints and they still go running around the gutters!
However you raise your kids, they take the morals and lessons you have taught them and use them how they see fit.
Let’s not talk about my parenting because I never left my boys with a complete stranger to see about some dick that didn’t belong to me!
You don’t keep the girl's hair combed! You go out all day and night! You lie about being in school just so you can escape the reality of being a mother! Should I go on?”
Laquanna sulked in her seat, all of this was a surprise to me. My mom must have done her own research on Laquanna cause I sure as hell didn’t have the time to see if what she was telling me about school was true.
“I don’t have to deal with this shit!”
Laquanna gathered her things and stomped out the door slamming the door behind her.
“I meant what I said Praise. You better get custody of my grandbaby or I will. She needs a more solid foundation. Now moving on to a new topic what’s going on with you and Michael?”
“I don’t want to talk about it. If Teflon comes crying to you like a little bitch that’s on him.”
Shit with Teflon had been rubbing me the wrong way lately, I was starting to regret even putting his cry-baby ass on. One thing I never did was bring my mom into my street shit. She already knew what I was about but that didn’t mean I came to her with issues.
“Yea ok. You just watch him a little more closely and make sure my baby boy is safe.”
Something inside of me told me some shit wasn’t adding up with him but I was in denial.
My brother would never cross me and if he did, he already knew the consequences.
I stood to my feet and promised my mom I would look into everything.
Teflon was always out here under our momma tittie.
I told her I would send for her in a week or two to come up and visit with me and Mattea for a couple of weeks once I took care of other business.
Mattea loved her GiGi and would be super happy to see her.
Teflon
Shit was good, so good I had to do another line of coke.
Relaxing my nerves, I mentally told myself I shouldn’t be snorting up in the trap house.
The way I saw it, I was killing two birds with one stone.
I was here to collect money and drop off more product.
Standing to my feet I dusted the residue off my clothes from the substance.
Going into the crappy ass bathroom that smelled like shit and piss, I checked my nose for any type of evidence.
I never planned on anybody finding out that I loved to snort pure cocaine.
Only one person knew of my little problem.
If Beast bitch ass caught a glimpse of what I was doing he would cut me off entirely.
I wanted to get on his absolute good side so he could hand me over his whole operation since he wanted to turn all his dirty money clean.
Checking my Rolex, it was time to go. My phone started buzzing and I instantly got agitated.
“What Laquanna!”
She was starting to become a nuisance to me. Sure, she had good pussy, but her ass was clearly crazier than my brother.
“I want him fucking dead Tef! Like today!”
She sounded like she had been crying but what was ever new with her.
“Your mother and that bitch ass nigga wants to try and take my baby! I can’t have that! They clearly got a real bitch like me fucked up!”
I could picture her snapping her long-ass coffin-shaped nails and rolling her neck.
“Would it make a difference Quanna? It’s not like you’re with her like that anyway. Chill on the kill him shit. I’m trying to get way more out of this situation. I told you it could take years!”
She made me want to kill her. I wasn’t too sure if I wanted to kill my brother yet.
I did love him but his recent actions had started making me wish death upon him.
With him dead though, I wouldn’t be able to just take over like that.
Shit was complicated and with Beast, I was highly feared and respected.
Without Beast niggas tested me daily. Which is why I hated him being so far in Vegas.
I also knew if I killed him anytime soon.
Stone would for sure take over things, no questions asked.
I really had to play shit smart, in the end though, I really didn’t want to see my brother dead.
I just could not keep taking his disrespect and embarrassing me as a man.
“Don’t you dare side with him. If you want me to keep your little secret you would do as I say!”
My line beeped and when I saw who it was, I hurriedly exchanged the call. Butterflies flew in my stomach and I smiled.
“Sup baby.”
I almost sang it like my favorite tune.
“Heads up nigga, your brother is about to walk in the trap in two minutes. Get your shit together. I love you. I’ll see you later tonight before I have to head back to Vegas, I need that ass bad.”
He hung up and I immediately went into action.
Thinking about my lover caused me to be weak and vulnerable.
I wished I could live my life how I truly wanted to.
No nigga was gone respect a gay ass nigga as a king pen so I kept shit under-wraps as well as my lover.
Seeing that I had a text from Laquanna I rolled my eyes.
Crazy girl: I better see your ass in the next fucking hour! Don’t make me look for you!”
Sighing I put the phone in my back pocket and walked into the living room to talk to my men and act like I had shit in check.
If Beast was popping up on me it basically meant that he felt shit wasn’t going smooth.
I needed to get my shit together and prove to him that I was well capable of running shit without him.
My love life was crazy as fuck, it sometimes made me lose focus.
I was in the middle of giving orders to the young niggas in the trap when Beast let himself in.
He said nothing as he eyed everyone in suspicion.
I continued giving out orders as I watched him out of my peripheral.
He checked the duffle bags I had as well as the freezer that had drugs hiding inside of food containers.
Once everything was to his liking he relaxed and told me to meet him outside.
When I finally gathered everything and loaded it into my trunk, I finally approached him.
“It’s the fit for me.”
I laughed as I took him in. My brother was fine as hell a blind man could see it. He rocked Celine his favorite designer from head to toe. His all-black Gucci frames covered his eyes.
“Nigga you fucking too many hoes. Only bitches use that for my term.”
We both shared a laugh, I reminded myself to never use the term again. Around my lover, I could be as feminine as I wanted to. Sometimes that shit would slip out when I didn’t want it to.
“Whatever nigga! Men or women could use that shit.” I defended; his brows went up as he shrugged it off.
“If you say so nigga. I like how smooth you got shit going here. I was out here visiting moms. I wanted to see her since it’s been a minute. You wanna go grab some food and shoot the shits?”
That made me feel good and guilty at the same time.
I knew my brother really loved me. I was just in too deep with my betrayal to turn over and become innocent in everything.
I was happy he wasn’t out there trying to stalk me and micro-manage me to see if I was capable of running shit while he was away.
The nigga was a momma’s boy so I knew his statement was true and sincere.
As bad as I wanted to hang with my brother like old times, I had Laquanna to meet up with, then my lover.
I loved calling him that shit cause that’s exactly what he was my lover and my heartbeat.
I couldn’t miss anytime without him. Especially if he had the time on his hands I wanted to be there and get it.
“Bro I got a whole lot of other shit on my plate. I’ll be in Vegas next week. We can chill then. You know I got three more houses to check in on before the day is up, plus I’m getting my crib cleaned tonight by Mrs. Reeds.
He stared at me for a couple of seconds too long then nodded his head.
I felt relieved, most of the time Beast didn’t take rejection.
He loved trying to read people instead of himself.
I was still on edge when he pistol-whipped me.
He even did that shit to Don but he deserved it bringing up Nia.
I was by far upset about the shit, he took shit too far and that wasn’t cool to me.
Beast was a power-driven nigga. The money made him feel untouchable, he acted like he was God.
“Fasho well I’ll get with you later, stay dangerous nigga.”
He got inside of his Range Rover and rolled the windows down.
“I love you Tef. Don’t forget that shit. I’m your big brother and I sense you got some shit on your shoulders. If you ever need to talk or get that weight off of your shoulders, come holla at a nigga.”
He turned up his Tupac music loud as it serenaded loud. “I ain’t mad at cha,” it made me feel even worse, Beast could read me well. I shook off all those guilty feelings and prepared myself to meet up with his crazy baby momma.
