26. Beast
Chapter Twenty-Six
BEAST
Every single time, I tried to let this nigga Praise control some shit, he had to pull a soft ass move.
“You coming up in this bitch like I don’t make your life tick, Leandra.
You forgot who the fuck pays your bills and make sure you well protected?
I killed Laquanna’s momma, she was beating my fucking daughter and starving her.
You don’t think that bitch, Quanna, looking to get some type of revenge with that bitch, Nia?
You keep fuckin with me, you old bitter ass hag, I’m gon’ pull security and everything else from under your ass, then let you see what it’s like to be a poor old lady! ”
“BEAST!” Kayori yelled in shock. it was time for her to go sit her hot and cold ass down. I was just knee deep in that pussy and here comes Leandra fucking up some shit we had going.
“The real you is showing, son. Does your so-called baby momma know how crazy you really are? Does she know how much of a monster you can be? You kill people, bully them, and make people be at the hands of your mercy. When a person makes a mistake, death is your only answer to solve that,” Her voice elevated, and now I was ready to shut her ass down.
It pissed me off further to see the astonished look on Kayori’s face. Was she believing this lady?
“Bitch please!”
Don’t you call our momma a bitch! Chill the fuck out!
My mom gasped hard and so did Kayori. She wanted to act ruthless and talk about me like I was nothing, then I was ready to treat her like she was nothing.
“You want to talk high and mighty in this bitch, huh? Like you all sanctified and shit, when I was a young nigga killing, stealing, and doing foul shit, why the fuck you ain’t turn down my bloody money?
Shit, didn’t you have bread of your own?
What was the reason you kept taking money from your young and ruthless son?
Why you ain’t tell me that all that shit was wrong?
You ain’t even lead me into the right direction!
You basically encouraged me to be in the streets, so if anybody created this monster it’s you! ”
“That’s not true and you know it!” her voice shook from anger.
“Kayori knows who the fuck I am, and she love all of me, good and bad! She doesn’t take my shit either. Don’t stand here and disrespect my bitch, Leandra,” I spat her name like it had acid attached to it.
“I need to talk with you, Praise! I am your mother, and you will respect me!”
Shaking my head no, I nodded my head towards the door.
“Get the fuck out my house,” I said lowly with a warning attached to it. Before she could protest, Mattea came running down the hallway.
“Gran Grannnnn!!!” she yelled excitedly with her favorite baby doll in her arms. Taking a seat, I tapped my foot hard on the floor.
I felt like a ticking time bomb, looking around for Kayori, I noticed she left out the room.
I was just about to go stand and find her when she walked out with a tall glass of Kool-Aid.
She had a cautious smile plastered on her face as I shook my head no.
, I wanted her to get the hint. I didn’t want to take no damn medicine right now I was pissed.
One thing I couldn’t take away from Leandra was that she was a good ass grandmother.
I couldn’t put her ass out now if I wanted to Mattea lil ass ran me and Praise.
She was already tugging at her Gran Gran’s legs, forcing her to follow her to her room to show off her toys and how Kayori redecorated.
A couple of weeks ago, Kayori turned Mattea’s whole room into Frozen, the Disney movie that Mattea’s ass had on repeat at least twice or three times a day.
It encouraged her to be a big girl and sleep in her own room instead of coming inside of mine.
I loved my mom don’t get it fucked up, but sometimes I hated her ass with a passion.
She felt so entitled, wanted to belittle the fuck out of me.
I wasn’t having that shit no more. I called her a bitch so she could understand how fucked up she had me.
It didn’t feel right and with the look Kayori was giving me, I was going to have to do some sucker ass shit and apologize.
“Take this now Beast, or I’m leaving for the night… I still need to talk to you and that’s gone set you off more with what I have to say.”
“Then leave Juicy! Don’t you see I got my hands full right now?
What you want to talk about? Some relationship shit?
You want more independency? Working more hours when you know you can’t you at high fuckin risk!
Like spit that shit the fuck out! You always want to beat around the fuckin bush and shit. ”
Her eyebrows bunched together, and she rolled her eyes hard as fuck.
“I want to talk about who popped up on me today in the locker room while I was getting ready for my mani and pedi! That’s what the fuck I want to talk about, you ignorant ass nigga!”
She yelled as everything stalled inside of me.
“Who the fuck popped up on you Kayori, tell me right fucking now! See what I mean? Yo ass should’ve been just spat it the fuck out! You always try to be on some timid shit!”
Shaking her head she shoved the cup in my hand, causing some of it to spill on my expensive ass robe.
“I said take the fuckin pill or I’m not telling you shit! Mattea and your mom are here and I don’t need you acting out.”
Pinching the bridge of my nose, I snatched the pill out her soft hand and threw it back in my mouth.
Biting right into it I swallowed it down dry as I took the second one out her hand and did the same thing.
Drinking the sweet Kool-Aid down, I sat there silent for a moment. I was waiting for her to speak.
“Teflon, he came to see me today, Beast.”
I had to laugh to keep from exploding, I could feel the crease in the center of my forehead.
Tightening up my fist, I thought of ways to slow torture this dumb ass nigga Michael, the nigga had straight up violated.
I tried to let Praise handle that shit so he could accept that we had this shit in us, it’s who the fuck we were.
It was overdue, Michael was supposed to been dead.
Praise was dragging his feet and thinking too deep into the shit.
“He wasn’t disrespectful, and he did no harm, Beast,” she spoke frantically, pissing me off even more. Trying to take up for him was naive as fuck of her.
“Now ain’t the time to be gullible.”
“He looks bad, cracked out…. Before you go in on security, he came through the back.”
“I don’t give a fuck, Kayori! You mean to tell me that nigga approached you, and you didn’t think to fuckin call me? Are you fuckin stupid?”
I looked at her waiting on her answer, she stood before me looking stupid.
“Beating around the bush! That’s some idiotic shit! I mean, what the fuck, Kayori? That nigga could’ve followed you and did… Man, you’re stupid as fuck! Get the fuck out my face… Yo dumb ass done drugged me up, knowing that shit is gon’ handicap me!”
I was on the edge of the cliff right now and Kayori was about to push me off that bitch. I was ready to kill, and she done drugged a nigga up. Whenever I chewed my medicine up instead of swallowing it, it worked super-fast. Within fifteen minutes, I would be feeling the effects of it.
“He told me that Laquanna wanted him to kidnap me. He wanted me to tell you that he ain’t on no bullshit no more.
He just wants to be with y’all mom. He looks sick and needs the help, baby.
Everybody needs help sometimes.” Her eyes were pleading with me for understanding, I had none for that pussy ass nigga.
“Get out, Kayori. Go find something to do around the house.”
I felt myself getting sleepy, I should’ve taken one pill. Instead, I took two not thinking. I wanted to desperately run down on Laquanna and Teflon. I needed to put all this shit to an end.
“You want to yell and blame your mother, when you are the blame too,” she mumbled as she tried to walk off.
“Fuck you just say to me, Juicy?” I asked her seriously, as she put her hand on her hip and snapped her neck with each word she spoke.
“You can’t prove nobody wrong for once? Prove your mom wrong and show her you not the monster she is making you out to be?
You need to learn how to control yourself!
I’m sick of this stupid ass rollercoaster with you!
Calling me names just because you don’t want to hear the fucking truth! You stupid asshole!”
She walked away before I could respond. I wanted to say something, get up do something but the medicine was slowing me the fuck down. My anger was too much causing the meds to work overtime. My eyelids felt heavy, before I knew it, I was dozing off.
As soon as I woke up, murder was on my mind.
I checked the time; it was about one in the morning.
Walking around to check every room in my house, I quietly opened up Mattea’s bedroom door and stood there for a couple of seconds.
My mom laid behind her on Mattea’s full-size bed, she rubbed through her curly mane as she hummed her to sleep.
A part of me wished she would have cared more for me like that.
In her mind I was insane, mental, beyond fixable.
She treated me as such without even realizing how bad she was hurting me back then when I was a kid.
“Leandra, I apologize for calling you a bitch… I ain’t mean that shit.”
Nodding her head at me, she kissed Mattea on the forehead and reached her hand out for me to help her up. Once she got out the bed, she hugged me tight and kissed my forehead the same as she did Mattea. We both walked out of Mattea’s room and made our way to the kitchen.
“I will apologize to Kayori for disrespecting her. Things have been tough with everything going on.”
She made her a fresh pot of coffee with her back turned towards me.
“You need to apologize; you can stay the night. In fact, you can stay a couple of days to help around the house. I got to handle some shit.”
Turning around, she faced me with worry in her eyes.
