Chapter 31 #2
She screams and moans, arching herself into me and her breathing turns ragged. Mine’s not even and my cock’s damn hard, keen to join in the fun. But this isn’t about me and today is another day that Nia gets to experience something new.
For me, and with me.
And then Nia submits.
She turns her head to the side, closes her eyes and surrenders.
My shoulders sink and my breathing eases as my girl accepts her position and my dominance. Nia settles and my strikes soften, still hard enough to smart and sound as they land, but the sting isn’t as sharp and Nia starts to sigh.
Her throat turns hoarse and her cries grow raspy as her heart races and she finally gives in, letting a small but significant orgasm break. Her body trembles on my lap as the waves of pleasure ease her pain and I glance at Cole, warning him he’d better not even contemplate touching her.
Not now, not ever.
Her muscles relax and she rests her weight on me and I hear Lyall growl and snarl as she readies herself to take over.
Nia’s learning to give up control and her wolf is signaling that she’s ready to take it, and the pretty girl lying across my lap just needs to accept the inevitability of what’s coming.
Goddess, it’s perfect. She’s fucking perfect.
I dart my eyes to Cole and my Beta’s still staring, transfixed as his Luna sprawls herself over my lap and my dominance ripples around us. Cole lowers himself, dropping his chest and showing me his neck as his eyes glance at the bubbling pool, wondering if the water will be needed.
“You’re doing so well, Nia,” I whisper, knowing full well she’s going to love the praise.
“So fucking well for me.” My hand circles her ass before sliding up her spine.
“You can let Lyall take it from here, sweetheart.” I roll the heel of my hand along her back, massaging her muscles as Lawson calls to his mate. “We’re here and you’re safe.”
Nia’s ribs crack and she cries out, startled as her shift starts.
“You’re doing great, Nia.”
My hand pushes her down as my voice tries to calm her. Nia needs to stay relaxed and all she has to do now is let go, and the cards will fall bringing the whole house down until she transforms.
“I can’t…”
I tsk and she stills, dropping her head again and closing her eyes once more.
“Just. Let. Go.”
The cracks sound like a bandage being ripped off a wound and Nia gasps, exhaling as her transformation takes hold.
I keep soothing her, keep stroking her, telling her that she’s doing fine, and promising her that it’ll all be okay.
We just need to make it through the next few minutes and as long as Lyall keeps fighting and Nia doesn’t panic, they’ll complete their first controlled shift.
Her muscles move, swelling as waves break through her body and her frame begins to alter.
Nia’s pain spreads into me and I try to soothe her, promising her it’ll all be over soon and in a few more shifts it won’t hurt at all.
I know her body will adapt as long as she gives it time and the reassurance I offer her seems to help.
Nia slips towards the darkness as Lyall howls into the night and the wolf inside breaks out from its confinements.
Legs twist and crack as joints pop and break apart, while tendons pull themselves taut until they snap and start to reform.
I whisper more words of encouragement as the girl who tried so hard to make this happen lets herself go, discovering that surrender gets her everything she ever wanted.
Lyall’s fur is as soft as I remember and the she-wolf is lying across my lap by the time I’ve exhaled, barely bothered by the fuss of the previous few minutes.
“Nia just needed the right encouragement, pretty boy.”
She’s got to stop calling me that, and we’ll be having words about Lyall’s choice of pet name sooner rather than later.
But now isn’t the time to push her, and it sure as fuck isn’t the time to rile her.
It’s the time to congratulate her and Nia on managing their first transformation, praising them for finding their balance and way together.
It’s also the time to remind Lyall that she needs to learn to give up control, just as Nia did a few moments ago.
Lyall enjoyed herself for several hours after the Elite Guards left and wasn’t keen to shift back to her human form. She’s got plenty of reason to want to stay in this form, and in many ways, I sympathize with the beautiful wolf who was forced to endure an ordeal few would have survived.
But she has to learn to share, just as Nia has to learn to give. She’ll only scare Nia if she’s too demanding, and that won’t help either of them. Lyall growls then sighs, accepting I’ve got more than a point.
Cole grins, disappearing into the house as he’s certain he’s no longer needed.
My Beta has other matters to attend to, including trying to discover why the Elites were so impressed with the color of the fur of the wolf who seems so placid as she relaxes on me.
Lyall’s coat is dazzling but there was more to that Elite’s reaction than meets the eye, and we’d better figure out what he was talking about and fast.
Lyall’s tongue lolls out of her mouth and she pants as I stroke her fur, letting her experience the joy of being petted as she lies peacefully over my lap. It’s a shame to disturb her, but needs must and my mate has to learn to shift both ways.
“You need the right encouragement too, Lyall,” I tell her as Cole lets the door slam behind him and Lyall jumps to its bang. “So what’s it going to be, sweetheart? Pleasure or pain?”
