Epilogue
K elly lifted one more box and looked around the house—Mia’s house. When Kelly had moved to Wintervale, she and Miles agreed she wouldn’t move in with him right away because of Emma. They didn’t want to change up her routine and thought it would be best to date for a while.
Lily had enjoyed staying with Ethan so much during the short week when the rooms were damaged at the resort that she moved in with him. It worked out great for Kelly since Mia then offered to let Kelly rent the house.
It had been a year now, and they were ready to take the next step.
It had become a habit for Kelly to spend the night at their place frequently, and Emma was constantly asking if she was going to stay with them all the time.
So after some discussion, Miles and Kelly decided she would move in permanently. Emma was ecstatic.
The last year of taking on the role of event coordinator at the Wintervale Resort had been a dream come true for Kelly. She loved every aspect and was constantly coming up with new events to host during their off season when they didn’t have any weddings planned.
She flew back home frequently to see her family, usually with Miles and Emma tagging along. Her entire family had fallen in love with Emma and enjoyed playing with her. They even took turns flying to Wintervale to see them.
Kelly carried the box out to her car. It was the last of her items that needed to be taken to Miles’s place. She put it in the backseat and drove the short distance to her new home. When she walked through the front door, she shouted, “Honey, I’m home!”
Giggling to herself, she walked into the living room only to stop short. Miles and Emma were both down on one knee. Miles held a small box in his hand with the top open, displaying a gorgeous diamond ring.
Kelly dropped her box, and her hands flew to her mouth, covering it as tears sprang to her eyes. “What are you doing?”
Miles laughed. “We have a question to ask you.”
“Will you marry us?” Emma asked, a bright smile across her face.
Kelly nodded emphatically and stepped closer to them, dropping to her knees and putting her hands on either side of Miles’s face and kissing him.
“Ew,” Emma said.
They pulled apart, laughing. Kelly wrapped her arms around both of them. “Yes. Yes, I’ll marry you both.”
