9. Blake #2
“Ki-Killian, what are you doing here? Scotty, do you know him?” she asked. Her stare bounced from one man to the other. You could tell that she wanted to make sense of what she saw. Yeah, bitch, it’s your baby’s daddy.
“Lashonda, it’s been a long while. You look like you’ve been busy, further ruining your life.” His voice was cold.
She sucked her teeth. “My life is just fuckin’ fine. Don’t sit in your house on the hill and judge me. If you had done what you were supposed to do as a father, then my life would have been better.”
Scotty tittered quietly. “What? The house that he gave you and the $5000 a month wasn’t enough? I always wondered why you were so adamant about going to that damn ice cream shop. Now I know. Damn, I knew that you were a fuck ass, but not to this level.”
My heart broke more from the pain that radiated through every word he said. That made me want to put a bullet between her damn eyes. Lashonda looked at him all crazy. It was clear that she was caught.
“Shut up, Scotty. That house he gave me wasn’t shit compared to the big-ass mansion that he lived in then moved his wife into. Fuck that little-ass house and measly $5000. What the fuck is $5000 when you’re worth millions, probably billions!” There was so much hate and entitlement in her tone.
Killian chuckled. “Lashonda, let’s not act like you didn’t make me believe that you aborted him until you wanted me to know about him. If I recall, when you came to me with your struggle, I offered to take him with me.”
Scotty and my head snapped in his direction. This story development is a whole damn bitch! It was like she blocked every chance for Scotty to have a better life. He struggled as a child, while she got more than enough money to sustain them. Selfish was what she was.
Scotty’s head slowly turned toward Lashonda. “Is that true? I had an opportunity to be in a household with someone that potentially loved me instead of in a household with your hateful ass?”
She rolled her eyes. “What the fuck ever, boy. You think he wanted your black ass in his house? Hell, even if he did, that bitch of a wife that he had wouldn’t have let that shit happen.”
“I guess you’re a fortune teller. What kind of mother are you? Don’t answer that, because your actions tell me that you’re a fuck ass one.” I tried to stay quiet and let my man handle this. My spirit just couldn’t let it go.
Lashonda’s face screwed in the ugliest of ways. Based on looks, I would never have believed that Scotty was her son. Now that his mother and father were in the same room, he was all his father. Maybe he had her nose, but that was a huge maybe.
“Bitch, who the fuck are you? Just because you’re fucking someone in the crew doesn’t make any of this your business, ho,” she said venomously.
The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. That was never good. My head tilted, and I side-eyed Scotty. I didn’t have to ask, because he already knew the question. Go ahead was all that I had to hear to take over the situation like only I could.
My walk toward her was slow and intentional. This bitch had me and mine fucked up in the worst kind of way. I was dressed comfortably in joggers, Js, and a fitted black tee shirt. My hair was in a messy bun on the top of my head.
When I was in arm’s length of Lashonda, my hand that held my gun extended to smack her in her face with it. Her body fell back on the bed before she rolled onto the floor. She was dramatic because I felt like I didn’t hit her that hard. Bitches do too much.
“Bitch, I will kill you,” she grumbled through her groans. That was hilarious when you considered that she was on the floor, rolling around. I admired her perseverance.
My feet moved me to her side, then I squatted down. “Who exactly are you going to kill, silly bitch? From where I stand, I have the upper hand.”
Her arm swung out, and she tried to hit me. Look at her. Her head bucked back from the impact of my fist to her face.
My eyes connected with Scotty when I turned my head toward him. He smiled at me before he shook his head. Killian, Logan, and Grady stood there silently and watched. Grady had seen me in action once, but it was light work. Well, this was light work, too.
“How’s your face feeling, Lashonda?” I asked as if I really wanted an answer when I didn’t give a fuck.
“I hate that this is the way I have to meet the woman that gave birth to the man that I love. He’s told me about you and all your antics.
” My head twisted to face my love again. “Baby, you undersold this shit.”
He snickered. “No one wanted to admit that they came from a fuck ass woman. This shit is embarrassing. Bae, I’m ready to cut this short.
Lashonda, it is unfortunate that you felt the need to try and destroy things that I worked so hard for.
I want to be disappointed, but this is who you are. It’s who you’ve always been.
“You’re a selfish woman. It’s been a disservice to many that you have been allowed to exist this long,” Scotty said with little emotion. He turned toward his father. “I appreciate and respect the fact that you left me to make the decision as to when to end her existence.”
