Sometimes a quick errand turns into the weekend that changes everything.

When my boss asks me to check out a potential rental for a work retreat on my way home for Christmas, I agree. It’s only a half hour out of my way. No big deal.

Only, as an unexpected storm hits and the snow starts to fly, it becomes a very big deal. I make it to the cabins, but barely. When I walk in, I can’t believe my eyes.

Standing there is Nico, my first love, not that I’d ever told him. I’d been too scared that once he found out what I wanted in a relationship, he’d run away, and I’d lose him completely.

Now, we are snowed in together, Santa giving me the chance to be brave and finally admit how I feel and tell him I’m a daddy and want more than just a boyfriend.
