Dynastie’s Epilogue
I admired myself in the mirror, in a fitted, floor-length emerald green, gown with a split up my left thigh.
I looked at my stomach from each side before facing forward again.
My son had done my body good because I was thick in all the right places, and not only did his daddy love it, but I did too.
“Damn, baby. I know you’re trying to stay home, and as good as you look in this dress, you just might after I rip it off you,” Major said when he stepped behind me and looked at my reflection in the mirror.
“You like?”
“I love, and your parents just got here to watch MJ, so we’d better go before we don’t make it out of this bedroom.”
Major grabbed a handful of my ass and leaned down to kiss my neck.
“Yeah. Let’s go before your nasty behind gets something started.”
I gently nudged him back and stepped away from the mirror, but Major grabbed my wrist, so I didn’t get too far.
“You smell good too. Is that a new scent?”
“Thank you. It’s new, and I got it from Cuffed Glow & Order, a Black-owned company that I found online.”
“I would say you smell good enough to eat, but there’s never a time when you don’t. I can’t wait to devour you when we get back.”
“I can’t wait to be devoured.”
I shouldn’t have been surprised when I found out I was pregnant after not taking my birth control pills for a month. Major couldn’t keep his mouth off my pussy, and eight times out of ten, he followed up his superb tongue with magnificent dick.
He followed me to MJ’s room, and we stood over his crib, staring down at him sleeping peacefully.
Every time I looked at him, I thought of his big brother, which made me love him and love on him even more.
One day, when he was old enough to understand, I’d tell him about the angel in Heaven, protecting and guiding him.
“We should go before my breasts start to leak.”
“If you need me to suck on them before we get home, let me know. It’ll be dark enough in the theater.”
“Why are you like this?”
We shared a laugh as we headed downstairs. My parents were at the bottom, waiting to come up.
“I really hate y’all have to miss the screening, but thank you for coming to watch him,” I told them before kissing each of their cheeks.
“It’s fine. I don’t want some stranger watching my grandson,” Ma said.
My husband and father exchanged a few words before we were out the door. Bo was leaning against the back passenger side door when we stepped outside. He was attending the screening as well, but he still insisted on driving us.
“Don’t you two look sharp,” he complimented.
“You clean up pretty well yourself,” I told him.
“Don’t blow his head up, baby. He might try to snatch you up right under my nose.”
Once we were in the car, the smooth jazz music that Bo preferred filled the silence. Major was engrossed in his phone, and I got lost in my thoughts.
No one could’ve told me this would be my life two years ago, but here I was, married to the man of my dreams, the mother and bonus mother of two little gems, and being sought after by some of the greatest athletes of our time to help them write their memoirs.
There were some things I wished I could change about the journey, but I couldn’t have asked for a better happily ever after.
“Baby, look at this,” Major said, giving me his phone.
My breath hitched when I saw Dontrell’s name in the headline. His trial had been delayed several times because he refused to cooperate with his attorneys, to the point where they’d quit. Each time he hired a new team, they were given time to review the case, only for them to quit. It was a mess.
When he finally got a team in place that he thought was capable of defending him, and the trial started, I was too far along in my pregnancy to attend the trial in person. I testified via video call, while Major, Brax, and Jrue testified in person.
The article stated that he was found guilty of all charges against him a month ago, which we already knew, and that he was sentenced today to thirteen years in prison, which was the maximum sentence.
“Yes! He got the maximum sentence!” I exclaimed.
“I told you he would. We have a little more to celebrate.”
I’d been nervous about Dontrell getting a slap on the wrist, but the attorneys Major hired for me knew their shit backward and forward. I could rest easy now, knowing his crazy ass was behind bars for a while.
“That we do. I love you, baby.”
“I love you too, Lovie, in a major way.”
