Chapter 27

“Yes… just like that, Guillermo.”

He doesn’t seem to be listening to me, completely focused on giving me pleasure, and I make a pact with myself that I’ll repay him later, but for now, I just want to enjoy every sensation.

“Don’t stop touching yourself.”

As if my body is eager to obey his orders, my legs rest on the arms of his chair, and with the other hand, I hold his head in place to prevent him from stopping devouring me.

“You love this, don’t you? I’m going to lick you for days.”

“I’m going to come.”

He seems lost in lust, as delighted as I am. My hand speeds up inside my panties, and he stops for a moment.

Without warning, he tears the lingerie in two.

“You’re going to deplete my panty stock.”

He smiles. “I’ll replace them. I want to watch while you pleasure yourself.”

One hand plays with my breasts, and the other pulls me closer by my butt. He places my finger on my pleasure spot and licks my sex like someone famished, alternating between sucking and tongue inside me.

“My God!”

“Like that, Olívia. Come for me.”

After the command, I have no choice but to obey him and surrender without any shame. I massage my clit faster and faster, very close to climax, and when he nibbles me lightly, I spill onto his tongue.

“I want this every day,” I plead, not quite sure what I’m asking for.

His mouth doesn’t stop until the last spasm leaves my body.

“Will you . . . let me play too?” I ask, fighting against the lethargy that’s starting to take over.

He says nothing, and that finally brings me back. When I look at him, I can see doubt on his face, and I feel embarrassed.

“Don’t you want to? I can learn.”

No, Olívia. Wrong sentence. Say something sexy.

He looks serious and seems to be restraining himself. I don’t understand why. I mean, wouldn’t it be the natural next step? One pleasuring the other?

“There’s nothing I want more.” Despite the words, his gaze still shows hesitation.

Before I can unravel the mystery, however, we hear a crying sound on the baby monitor.

He gets up, adjusts my nightgown, and gives me a gentle kiss on the lips. “I need to check on her.”

He doesn’t ask me to come along, and after a moment, I go up to the room he assigned me when I arrived. I’d like to go see Nina, but I feel unsure. I don’t know if it would be an invasion of privacy.

I lie down on the bed and look at the ceiling, trying to calm the pounding of my heart.

Any embarrassment I felt on the morning of the first day I slept here has been multiplied.

Guillermo didn’t seek me out for the rest of the night, so after taking a shower, I dressed and was ready to thank him for his hospitality and leave his house as soon as possible, when he knocked on the door of my room with Nina in his arms.

I freeze, observing the two of them. Without my planning it, father and daughter are quickly taking up space in my heart, and I don’t want to imagine either of them as mine. Bringing fantasies into the real world can be dangerous.

“Good morning,” I say awkwardly, focusing only on Nina.

He, however, doesn’t seem willing to let me realign my mind, and approaching, surprises me by kissing my lips. “Good morning.”

“How is she?” I disguise my surprise.

“Better. Several nights have been like this.”

Not for the first time, I think he’s a wonderful father. “They’re about to emerge, love. Just hold on a little longer,” I say to Valentina to camouflage the emotion of the intimate scene.

“Were you going somewhere?”

“Back to the hotel. I have some things to take care of.”

“Besides today being Saturday, you shouldn’t be working yet. My mom called. Dad’s already home, and she wants to gather the family for the weekly lunch, taking advantage of Gael being free this weekend.”

“He doesn’t live here?”

”No. In California. I’d like you to come with us.”

I open and close my mouth, trying to come up with an argument to say how inappropriate this is, but I can’t.

Despite feeling embarrassed about meeting his family and not understanding the reason for him wanting to take me, I can’t resist. I really want to go, talk a little, see people who are not just clients or work colleagues. A real family.

“But what will she think?”

“I’ve already told her about you. Mom wants to meet you.”

I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I decide to accept. “Alright. Who will be there?”

“My parents and siblings, except for Martina. She won’t be back for a few weeks, or months—only God knows.”

“What should I wear?”

“You’re perfect as you are.” After another kiss, he says, “I’ll meet you downstairs in ten minutes.”

“Good afternoon! Welcome!”

Despite the kind words, I feel that the woman, whom I know to be named Isabel Caldwell-Oviedo, Guillermo’s mother, watches me with some suspicion.

I can’t understand why. Is it simply because I’m in her son’s company or because she realizes that I don’t belong to their circle? What did Guillermo say about me?

I may be mistaken, but she doesn’t seem snobbish.

“Good afternoon,” I reply carefully and completely out of my natural way of behaving. “I’m Olívia.”

“Yes, I know. My son told me he would bring you.”

Now I’m really sure there’s some hostility from the woman towards me, and I look over my shoulder, feeling agitated because Guillermo told me to come ahead while he was releasing Nina from her baby seat.

Before the situation can become more embarrassing, someone comes from inside the house saying, “Mom, is there something to nibble on? I’m starving.”

His voice is firm like the other two brothers’, but even without seeing its owner yet, there’s something in his tone that instantly relaxes me. When he finally appears, I’m speechless because none other than Rafe Caldwell-Oviedo is standing in front of me.

I swear I try not to act like a starstruck idiot, but it’s damn hard. In my world, you don’t walk down the street and stumble upon a celebrity. Although I know nothing about golf, Rafe is known in every corner of the planet.

Of course, Guillermo warned that the brothers would be present, but I hadn’t stopped to think that I would spend the day with royalty.

I think that because of everything that happened between us, I pushed to the back of my mind the fact that Guillermo and I live in different worlds.

However, while I’m speechless and don’t know what to say, the guy approaches and pulls me into a hug, saying, “You must be Olívia. My brother said you were coming. Nice to meet you, sweetheart. I’m Rafe Caldwell-Oviedo. ”

As if he needed to introduce himself!

I’m in shock, unable to assimilate all the feelings that reach me.

Given Joaquín’s not very friendly reception when I met him and now his mother’s indecipherable gaze, Rafe’s warm hug is more than welcome, but I’d be lying if I didn’t confess that I’m waiting for TV cameras to show up at any moment saying it’s a prank.

He’s even more beautiful in person, but then I’m not sure if that really means anything.

From what I’ve seen of the family’s men so far, they’re all breathtaking, including Joaquín’s gruffness.

Indeed, given the genetic load they received from their mother, they couldn’t help but be beautiful.

Isabel Caldwell-Oviedo must have been stunning when she was young.

What stands out about Rafe, however, is that unlike the other representatives of the clan, he has a disarming, open face. Nothing like what one would expect from someone so famous.

“Yes, I’m Olívia Freitas,” I finally respond. Normally, I would say a little more, but I’m feeling awkward.

“Why is everyone still standing here?”

I look back, and Guillermo is coming with Nina.

The little girl smiles, and as soon as she sees me, she opens her arms. I don’t even think before taking her in my arms, and the contact with her warm, soft body, instantly calms me.

“You’re so happy, aren’t you, sweetheart? You have the most beautiful smile in the world!”

Only when I notice the unusual silence do I realize that all three Caldwell-Oviedo members are watching me attentively.

Embarrassed, I focus again on Nina, while I see Guillermo kiss the forehead of the youngest brother.
