Chapter 30

The city noise faded the moment they stepped through the hotel’s glass doors, replaced by the soft hum of polished marble floors and perfumed air.

Rain felt Jay’s energy shift beside him in a flurry of anticipation and nerves, with a flicker of awe, each emotion brushing against him like warm fingertips.

After the chaos of the past few days, the quiet felt almost unreal.

They scanned into the building. The moment Rain’s chip registered, staff appeared with practiced efficiency, greeting them with a level of deference that made Jay straighten awkwardly. They were escorted through a private lift and down a silent corridor until they reached the penthouse suite.

Jay gasped the second the door opened.

Stone column statues of the Gods towered on either side of the entrance, stretching upward toward a ceiling made almost entirely of glass. Afternoon light spilled across the room in soft gold, illuminating marble floors and velvet furnishings.

Rain dismissed the hotel employee with a nod, setting the stack of books on a marble-framed glass table. He watched Jay quietly, soaking in his earnest wonder as he explored the space.

Jay wandered deeper into the suite, stopping dead when he saw the bed.

“That is bigger than my whole bedroom,” he laughed, finally turning to Rain.

“It’s the same size as my bed at home. Perhaps a little bigger,” Rain said, closing the distance between them.

Rain gently tugged at Jay’s hoodie, pulling him in for a kiss. Jay melted into him instantly, arms wrapping around Rain’s chest. Rain sighed softly, embracing him in return. At 6’2, he stood just tall enough that Jay fit perfectly against him, like he belonged there.

“You’re such a show-off,” Jay murmured against his chest.

“What did I do now?” Rain asked, feigning offence.

Jay laughed and patted his chest before reluctantly pulling away to lie down. Rain followed, settling on Jay’s right side to avoid his injury.

“Can I see how your bruise is healing?”

“Sure… can you help me out of my hoodie?” Jay asked, suddenly shy.

Rain shifted to his knees, helping him carefully, monitoring every flicker of discomfort. Jay leaned back against the pillows and lifted his shirt, revealing the fading bruise along his ribs. The swelling had gone down significantly.

Rain examined it closely, brushing his fingers lightly over the skin. Jay shivered at the touch, a spark of arousal flickering through him. Rain felt it and smiled, leaning down to press a gentle kiss over the bruise. Jay’s breath hitched.

“There. I kissed it better for you,” Rain murmured, returning to his place beside him.

Jay rolled onto his side to face him.

“How are you so cute, but also ridiculously sexy at the same time?” he asked, nestling into the pillow.

Rain smirked, dimples deepening, and slid closer until their bodies pressed together. He guided Jay’s leg around him, holding him close. Jay’s cheeks flushed as Rain cupped his neck and tilted him into a long, soft kiss.

Jay flinched when a sharp pain shot through his side, his hand instinctively shot up to support himself, slipping beneath Rain’s shirt coming to rest against his abs. Rain groaned in frustration.

“What I would give to have my way with you all over this bed right now,” he murmured between kisses. “But we can’t.”

Jay didn’t listen. He pressed closer, tightening his leg around Rain’s waist, tugging at his waistband, his energy pulling Rain into deeper, hungrier kisses. Rain moaned into his mouth, fingers sliding into Jay’s blonde curls.

Jay tried to move against him, but the pain was too much. He winced, clutching his side.

“Fuck. That is why we can’t,” Rain said seriously, absorbing the pain as he tried to pull back.

Jay refused, dragging him into another kiss, taking advantage of the relief Rain provided. Rain gave in, rolling on top of him, careful to keep his weight on his hands and knees.

“Okay, I get the hint,” he said with a teasing smile, brushing his tongue lightly over Jay’s lips. “If we’re doing anything, I’m doing it. You’re going to lie back and relax like a good boy and let me take care of you while you’re healing.”

“Wait—what?” Jay stuttered as Rain kissed down his neck, hands already at the button of his jeans. The glint in Rain’s green eyes made Jay’s breath catch. He wasn’t going to protest; he’d imagined this moment too many times.

Rain dragged kisses along his lower stomach as he gently tugged Jay’s jeans and boxers down. His cock sprung free, bouncing to attention. Rain eyed him hungrily, biting down on his lip at the sight. Jay’s face turned beetroot; vulnerability and arousal heating his cheeks.

Despite his longing, Rain took his time, gently removing Jay’s pants, ensuring he didn’t pull too hard or twist his injured side.

Tossing them aside, he slowly nibbled his way up his thigh, his intense green eyes trained on Jay’s expression.

Hungrily eating up the glazed heat settling across Jay’s features.

Intoxicating arousal flooded Rain’s senses; he raised his shield enough to prevent it from overwhelming him. He didn’t need a repeat of their last get together, though they were safe here, this wasn’t a time for losing control. It was time to express his appreciation for this man.

Rain brushed a rough tongue over Jay’s sack as he wrapped a firm grip around his length.

Jay gasped, letting out a shuddering moan, his body instinctively arched into the feeling.

Pain rippled through his obliques. Rain siphoned away the pain as quickly as it came, shooting him a scolding glare; a warning to remain still.

Rain palmed him at a deliciously slow pace, his touch a divine torture.

Jay could feel every deliberate stroke, every warm breath against his skin, and it took everything in him not to respond too quickly.

His body begged for more, but he knew Rain; the moment he showed even a flicker of discomfort, Rain would stop.

That knowledge alone made the pleasure sharper, sweeter.

Jay’s grip tightened around the sheets as Rain’s mouth travelled along his shaft, each lingering lick sending a tremor through him.

The sounds slipping from Jay’s lips were soft at first, then helplessly louder as Rain’s attention grew more focused, more intent.

Rain hummed against him, the vibration sending sparks through Jay’s spine as he took more of him into his mouth, working him with slow, rhythmic precision.

Each pull back was torturously controlled.

Each return was deeper, wetter, more consuming.

Jay’s breath hitched, his body arching despite himself, the pleasure building in steady, irresistible waves.

Rain’s eyes flicked up at him revealing dark lust, warmth and utter devotion, Jay felt himself crumble under the intensity.

Rain moaned softly as he took him in deeper, the sound vibrating through his throbbing crown in a way that made his whole body jolt.

Jay gasped at the overwhelming sensation, of pleasure twisting sharply with the sudden stab of pain in his abdomen.

Before he could even flinch away, Rain’s hand slid up, broad and steady, pinning him gently but firmly to the bed.

Warmth pulsed through Jay’s core as Rain took the pain from him in an instant.

Then Rain pulled back with a long, deliberate suck, releasing him with a wet, teasing pop.

“I told you to stay still.”

The words were playful, but the edge of concern beneath them was unmistakable.

Jay whimpered, eyes wide and pleading, his whole-body trembling with the fear that Rain might stop. Rain’s expression softened into something wicked and fond all at once as he wrapped his fingers around him again, stroking with slow, devastating precision.

“Don’t worry,” Rain murmured, voice dropping into a low, intimate rumble. “I’m not letting you leave this bed unsatisfied. But you need to behave. Are you going to behave for me?”

Jay bit down on his lip, nodding shyly. He was eager, obedient and on the verge of coming undone.

Rain’s breath hitched at the sight of his quick submission.

“Good boy,” he whispered, the praise warm enough to melt bone. “Trust me… restraint is harder for me than it is for you.”

He lowered his head again, sliding him back between his lips with reverent slowness, his tongue working in slow, deliberate circles with each rise.

Jay didn’t dare risk another mistake. His hand shot into Rain’s hair, gripping tight, guiding him down with desperate need.

Rain moaned around his cock again, causing his body to tense up again, fighting desperately against the urge to let go too soon.

Rain felt the shift instantly; the tightening breath, the trembling muscles, the way Jay’s body hovered on the edge.

He adjusted with practiced precision, giving him exactly what he needed.

A subtle pulse of power flowed into Jay, letting him feel the rising tension of his own climax without tipping him over the edge.

Rain wanted to worship him slowly, to draw every sound from him, to give Jay the attention he deserved…

but the pain he’d siphoned from Jay throbbed sharply in his own rib, reminding him that the injury still existed, even if Jay couldn’t feel it.

Rain didn’t stop.

Instead, he slid his fingers low, teasing lightly, gliding over Jay’s hole, a slow steady rhythm that let him ride the pleasure without aggravating the injury. Rain’s mouth moved faster, more focused, letting him fuck his throat while sharing every intoxicating spark of it through their connection.

Jay cracked instantly under the thrilling pressure.

His moans tore free, rising in pitch as the pleasure overwhelmed him, his body surrendering completely as the release hit him hard and fast.

Jay’s whole body bowed as the pleasure tore through him.

Rain held him steady through every trembling pulse.

Only when Jay finally sagged back against the pillows; boneless, flushed and utterly undone, did Rain ease away, his breath warm against Jay’s skin as he swallowed and wiped his lips with the back of his hand.
