A Serpent in Stormsby
On Magical Classification
By decree of his Royal Majesty King Gilbert IV, the use and possession of magic shall remain strictly regulated for the safety of his beloved subjects. Ahead of his coronation, our benevolent King reminds the citizens of Qyelles of the four classifications of magic use.
CLASS A
Herbalists, hedgewitches, potioneers.
Class A pose little danger to the public and may practice their craft freely. The trade of magical goods and services is permitted, though some of these items may require a license.
CLASS B
Earth, Air and Water Covens. Lesser beast shifters.
Class B are usually of little danger and may practice their craft provided they have been registered with the Crown within one year of His Majesty’s coronation.
CLASS C
Fire Covens. Greater beast shifters.
Class C are powerful, and under some circumstances, may present a danger to the public. Class C users may practice their craft with precaution, provided they have been registered with the Crown within one year of His Majesty’s coronation.
CLASS X
Necromancy Covens. Shapeshifters of humanoid form (commonly known as Serpents).
Class X magic is the single greatest threat to the people of Qyelles. Practitioners will be peacefully detained by the Crown upon birth or discovery. The intentional use of Class X magic is punishable by death.
