A Silence So Divine

For Eden, life is dull. Life is lonely.

From the moment she was born, something other has been swimming along with the blood in her veins.

Something that her father is sure to be the damnation of them all, and he has fought to snuff out, no matter the cost.

Confined to a dilapidated attic, her father’s sudden disappearance renders Eden helpless and on the brink of starvation.

That is, until two unlikely saviors arrive in the form of a boy who speaks with his hands and his ruthless older brother.

Cecil has spent his entire adult life protecting his younger brother, Creed, from the Brothers of Divinity: a religious extremist group that has infiltrated the government and made it their mission to execute anyone who is deemed “touched by Daarkness”.

As such, Creed’s deafness is grounds for a death sentence, and the two have spent their life on the run. Seeking a new place to hide out, the seemingly abandoned manor appears to be perfect.

But when they find a frightened girl who refuses to speak, Cecil’s distrust makes him adamant that they be rid of her, while Creed is desperate for a friend.

If the three are to survive, they must trust one another. But Eden’s afraid.

The possibility that her father was right in his suspicions looms like a low hanging cloud, threatening devastation at every turn.

And what’s worse… she’s not the only one keeping secrets.
