OLIVER #2
“Can I ask you a question?” I said, trying not to laugh. “Was she a bet you lost?”
He chuckled. “She is a draw right now, so that was one reason. And when I watched her performances, I saw something. Or, I thought I did. I guess what I saw were directors who knew how to get the best out of her.”
“You are getting the best. Her performances when she isn’t acting up are stellar.”
“Well, something pissed in her cornflakes this morning.”
“Egg white omelet with broccoli,” I corrected him with a shudder. “If you can imagine anything so disgusting. And it was me. I pissed in it.”
“What did you do?” he asked, leaning his arm over the back of his chair, and turning toward me.
“Refused to have a fling with her.”
“Ah. That would do it.” He glanced over my shoulder. “Any particular reason why?”
“I don’t cheat. And I’m not into her type.”
“Meaning?”
I shook my head. “I don’t do flings and I don’t gossip.”
He sighed and rubbed his eyes. “And she does. I get it.” He stood and clapped my shoulder. “She is a handful, but I chose her and I need to live with it.” He grinned. “I took a gamble on you, which has paid off. Her, well…we all make decisions we have to live with.”
“Yep.”
His grin widened. “And the first reason you gave me is standing over there waiting for you, I think.”
“What?” I turned, surprised and delighted to see Kassie in the corner, holding a small basket.
I jumped to my feet, ignoring Davis’s laughter and everything else. I headed toward her, not thinking. Simply responding to the emotion coursing through me at seeing her. I cupped her face and bent down, kissing her soundly. It was only the catcalls behind me that brought me up short.
“Shit, so much for keeping this quiet,” I murmured, looking at her bemused expression. “I was really happy to see you.”
She beamed up at me. “I don’t mind, then.”
I had no choice but to kiss her again.
And she kissed me right back.
Davis called for a break and went off, no doubt to find Sheri and talk her off whatever ledge she was threatening to jump from, so I took Kassie to my trailer. She revealed the contents of her basket, which included two of the small blueberry pies, as well as some fried chicken.
“It’s from Quinn,” she explained.
“Great. I can eat it in here in peace.”
She tilted her head. “What?”
I grabbed a fork and dug into one of the pies. I told her about Sheri, and her eyebrows lifted. “She just decided to have a fling and asked you to be the, ah, recipient?”
I chuckled. “The short version, yes. I think the fact is, she looked around and decided who would benefit her the most. Carl is married and is known for how much he loves his wife and kids. She knew he wouldn’t be interested.
None of the crew would be helpful to her career, and Davis has very strict rules.
He dates actresses but never one he is working with—at least at the time.
I’m sure he was her first choice. With me, she could be seen with a well-known celebrity—someone worthy of attention.
At least for the moment. Good press and all.
” I licked my fork clean. “Dammit, woman, you make the best pies. Now I need to work it off. Sheri said I was pudgy.”
Kassie smirked. It was a sexy look for her. “Let me get this straight. She wants an affair, but you’re her last pick. Still, she’ll ‘have a bit of fun’ and at least get some press out of you.” She bit her lip, her eyes dancing. “And she’s willing to do that, even if you’re, ah, pudgy?”
I nodded, looking serious. “She needs a good dicking, I suppose.”
She started to laugh. “Given her opinion, you might disappoint.”
I wiped at my mouth, balling up the napkin on the empty foil pie plate.
I stood, towering over Kassie. I bent down, caging her between my arms, watching as her laughter faded and her breathing picked up.
“Would I disappoint? Do I need to remind you?” I kissed her neck, grinning at the shiver that ran up her spine.
“Are you in need of a good dicking? Because for you, I’ll do it. ”
“Is that a fact?” she whispered.
“I’ll be called to set any moment. So it would have to be fast. Hard.” I nipped at the skin. “But satisfaction is guaranteed.”
She whimpered, and I captured her mouth with mine, kissing her thoroughly. She tasted of sugar, the tang of blueberries from the bite of pie she stole. Kassie.
Addictive. Heady. Mine.
I lifted her, sitting on the sofa with her straddling me.
Our hands fumbled and grabbed at clothing, our mouths never separating.
My cock sprang free, and I groaned as she stroked my shaft, then guided me inside her.
She was wet and ready, perfect and tight around my dick.
I grabbed her hips, helping her find our rhythm.
I grunted in satisfaction as she tugged on my hair, speeding up and driving me to my release quickly.
I slipped my hand between us, teasing her hard little clit.
She whimpered in response, her muscles fluttering around me, gripping and pulling my pleasure from deep in my balls.
I broke from her mouth, burying my face into her neck.
Her little noises and my low curses filled the trailer.
She gasped, her body spasming as I came, filling her with my release.
She cried my name softly, her fingernails digging into my skin.
I held her tight, the pleasure overwhelming and so satisfying I could barely catch my breath.
For moments, neither of us moved. Then I kissed her neck and sat back, cupping her face.
“Well, my lovely? A good dicking?”
She laughed, the sound light and sweet. “Awesome.”
I kissed the end of her nose just as a knock sounded on my door. “They’re ready for you.”
I sighed. “Good timing.”
She scrambled from my lap, her hair disheveled, lips swollen, and eyes wide. “You have to go.”
I stood, pulling up my jeans and tucking away my sensitive dick carefully. “You want to come and watch for a while? See your man at work?”
Her eyes widened at my words, and I grinned. “Your man, for now,” I amended, somehow hating those words.
“Are there, ah, any scenes I don’t want to see?”
“No. I have a scene with Carl and one with him and Sheri we’re doing, as long as she cooperates.” I paused. “Stay away from her. She’s… Just stay away.”
“Okay.”
I quickly freshened up at the kitchen sink while she used the tiny washroom.
Outside, I linked our fingers together, not caring.
The crew and Davis had seen me kissing her earlier.
The way the gossip mill worked on a movie set, everyone knew by now Kassie was with me.
There was no point in pretending otherwise.
I would just keep Sheri away from her. She wouldn’t show up until she had to be on camera anyway.
Except when we arrived at the barn, she was there.
Sitting in her chair, her legs crossed, foot swinging, looking displeased.
Luckily, my chair was on the other side of the barn, and I directed Kassie that way, waiting until she sat down.
“Stay where I can see you,” I instructed.
“And don’t let the brunette with the constant frown get near you. ”
“What should I do? Spray her with water?” she teased.
“Ignore her. She hates that.”
I walked to the set, where hair and makeup fussed over me a little. Davis walked on, the script tucked under his arm. “Listen up.”
I shut my eyes and shook my arms as I turned off Oliver and became Colton. Kassie was close and she was okay. I had to concentrate.
Kassie
It was fascinating to watch Oliver work.
He transformed from the man who had just wolfed down a pie then fucked me quickly to a stern, unflappable cowboy right in front of me.
His posture changed, his voice deepened a little.
His gait was longer, his body language tenser.
He exuded an aloof sexiness that worked for his character.
He became Colton.
I sat transfixed, seeing how a scene was pieced together.
The marks for the actors, the lighting. All the testing.
How each actor added to the scene. Despite his dislike of Sheri, Oliver told me she was a good actress, and she certainly played the part of a woman torn between her lover and the life she had fought to create for herself.
I noticed the extra attention she got from Davis, his coaxing and praise making her drive herself higher each attempt.
I was breathless and exhausted by the time he was satisfied with the takes.
It was one after another as he added, changed, pushed the actors, finally getting the performances he wanted out of all of them.
I couldn’t help but notice Oliver got the least amount of direction.
He had his character in hand and needed little prompting.
Davis offered a few suggestions for arm placement or how he shifted, but other than that, his concentration was mostly on Carl and Sheri.
“Take five,” Davis yelled. “I need to look this over.”
Oliver approached me, shedding his other persona as he got closer. His expression lightened as he joined me, dropping a quick kiss to my mouth. “Having fun?”
