Anna

I’ve come to learn when Vincenzo says no it’s a hard no. He’s already thought about why before he makes the decision and there’s going to be no swaying him from his position, especially when it has anything to do with my safety.

So again, tonight we’ll stay in, even away from the windows and balcony. After the scare on the yacht I don’t even really know if I want to go out on the balcony until they find Bastian.

Maybe there was a time when I would have been upset or challenged by Vincenzo’s need for control of my safety, but I’ve never ever felt more loved and protected than when I’m wrapped in his arms, dominance and all. Trust is a funny thing, and I trust him with all of my heart.

My mind ticks through options for the evening. Just because we’ve locked in for weeks on end doesn’t mean we can’t have fun.

Should we invite Lanah and your mother over for dinner? I’ll cook.”

Vincenzo wraps his hand around my nape and kisses my lips. “They would like that. It will give them a chance to get to know you a little better. But let’s make it an early night. I have plans for dessert and they’re not invited for that. Do you mind if we invite Nicolo too?”

I shake my head. “Not at all.”

His eyes narrow. “But?”

I let out a breath. “Is he still upset with me for all the trouble I’ve caused? Sometimes I think he wishes we had never met.”

Vincenzo wraps his arms around my waist, eliminating any space at all between us.

The warmth of his breath caresses my ear.

“You would know with certainty if Nicolo disliked you, princessa. He simply has a lot on his mind with the Gallinis and Mom’s surgery really caught us all by surprise.

She’s getting stronger and we’ve got a plan to handle the Gallinis.

Let’s invite him. It will do him good to take a break tonight. ”

I smile, the uneasiness of late about Nicolo slipping away. “What about homemade pasta and seafood? There’s no time to simmer a proper red sauce.”

He laughs. “We have world renowned chefs, yet none can rival the taste of a meal made special for me by my wife.” He kisses my lips.

“I have a few calls to make from the office, but I’ll have some fresh clams and shrimp sent up along with tiramisu which I happen to know was made just this afternoon.

We don’t want our chefs getting in a tizzy, threatened by the boss’s wife. ”

I laugh, shooing him away. “Go work. I have plenty to keep myself busy.”

Vincenzo tips my head and kisses down the length of my neck. “Wear a pretty dress, princessa, but forget the panties.”

My cheeks heat but butterflies dance in my belly. He turns and walks away but I find myself watching his tall muscular stature with longing. The boss looks damn fine in his dark Armani suit. And he is all mine.

I busy myself with the pasta dough, cracking the eggs and kneading it by hand until crumbly before adding the water, my thoughts drifting back to younger days in the kitchen as a child learning to mix until just the right texture.

I cover the bowl of dough with plastic wrap and head to the shower while it rests.

I dry my hair and get my makeup on wrapped in the soft cashmere robe that Vincenzo purchased for me but shed it, placing it on the hook in the bathroom before padding to the closet.

My eyes scan over the enormity of pretty options hanging in a line but settle on the little floral number that will be just right for an evening party but not so seductive that I’ll feel uncomfortable in front of his family.

The dress is lined and padded so no need to wear a bra or worry about a chill, and no need to put panties on as Vincenzo would just tear the lace from my skin anyway.

I smile, half wondering if I should put them on despite his rules and see what happens when I don’t give him what he wants because the thought of him carting me upstairs to rip them off makes me wet.

Maybe another night, when we’re alone and not entertaining. I tuck it into the back of my mind because it sounds like a very fun idea to me. The door opens just as I’m adjusting the strap of my second sandal.

The door closes and Vincenzo’s arousal permeates the air. He closes the distance and lifts my hair. “Put your hands on the closet mirror and keep your eyes on me,” he whispers, caressing down the length of my neck with the warmth of his mouth.

Everything south clenches as I close the closet, leaving just the mirror in front of us. I place my hands on the cool glass.

“Lower,” he says, sliding a finger down the length of my spine before lifting the hem of my dress. “This dress isn’t very long, princessa. You bend over and show someone what belongs to me and you’re going to have a very sore ass tomorrow.”

I smile at him in the mirror. “I wouldn’t do that. It’s not that short. You’re a prude.”

He smirks. “Push your ass up and out.”

Embarrassment floods my cheeks, but I love it just the same and do exactly as he asks. One finger with a cool gel runs along my back seam. And then enters deep.

My eyes go wide, watching his dark eyes dilate with desire.

This is what makes me wet, the magnetic need for each other.

He pushes another finger in, thrusting them deep enough to make me squirm but then scissors them to open me up.

My breathing hitches, I already know what’s coming and when he removes his fingers and pushes the end of the plug against the opening, I suck in a deep breath.

“Good, hold that breath,” Vincenzo says, kissing the side of my neck, suckling on that sensitive length of bare skin while pushing the plug in and clamping it into place. “How does that feel, princessa?”

“So full, so much.”

He puts the hem of my dress down and walks into the bathroom to wash his hands. “I wouldn’t want you to get bored this evening.”

“I’m not wearing this to dinner with your mom and family. Right?”

Vincenzo gives me a smirk before his hand goes into his pocket, and the plug starts to vibrate in my back end.
