Chapter 3 #2
It was Christmas Eve, and a gang of us had taken over this resort in the damn mountains. We rented out half of the resort which was crazy to me. They thought we were joking when we first approached them, then they didn’t think we would be able to pay for it. That was something that we were used to.
It was hard to be Black Excellence in the world that we lived in.
When we weren’t in our business suits on that G kind of stuff, people thought we were your basic Black men.
I, Jacob, Draco, Ned, and Croy were in the meeting.
After those folks told us about the total cost for an all-inclusive experience and half of the resort cabins blocked for us after negotiation, they had that look of arrogance that we couldn’t pay for it.
When Jacob asked where to send the wire transfer, all of their faces turned red. They were dealing with four millionaires and a billionaire. After the money hit their account, they prepared to be at our beck and call.
“This suite is so amazing! Oh my God!” Ruth roamed around the room like she never saw anything nice.
It was a six-bedroom cabin that had all the bells and whistles. Ned, Shan, Kellie, and Shanae were in the cabin with us. Kellie and Maggie opted to share a room, the same as my sons. It didn’t seem like my sons would grow out of their want to be in the same bedroom any time soon.
I watched Ruth touch things like a kid from my seat in the living room that was big enough to fit a two-bedroom apartment in. “Ruth, don’t act like I’ve never taken you anywhere nice. Stop playing with me.”
Ruth set down whatever the ugly thing was that she took off the fireplace mantel. She looked sexy as hell in her leggings and turtleneck. Her snow boots were at the door. She walked over to where I sat, straddled my lap, then cupped my face with her hands.
“Are you going to be a grinch this year? You know the Grinch doesn’t get pussy,” she seductively said after her lips moved close to my ear. “Do you really want to be a pussy-less grinch?”
See, people thought that Ruth was one thing, but she was so much more.
I loved the way my wife loved our family and the Lord.
What I really loved from the depth of my soul was the temptress in her that seeped out.
It was the sexiest thing ever. Like right now, my dick was hard as a rock.
She was slick, though, because she knew I couldn’t dive inside of her in the living room.
My hand smacked her ass, then I kissed her neck. “I know something that you don’t. The Grinch was getting plenty of pussy. Trust me. Martha Mae Who was bustin’ it wide open for that green dick. She was bustin’ it open just like you’re going to after this big ass dinner.”
Ruth’s head bucked back with a tight face. The tightness only lasted for a second before her head fell back and a boisterous laugh filled the room. “I hate you so much. I’m about to take a shower and get ready for dinner.”
My head tilted to the side. “Nah, Mrs. Ruth. I need you to handle this hard dick. I’m too damn old for blue balls.”
She stared at me for a moment. Before she could put her lips on mine, the front door to the cabin opened. When I saw who it was, my head fell back on the couch. Have patience, Mega.
“Hey, Mr. Manfield,” Travis greeted after he came in the cabin behind Maggie and Kellie. “Are y’all ready for dinner?”
This lil nigga. My head snapped in his direction. “Does it look like were . . . Ow!” Ruth popped the hell out of the back of my head.
“Megatron, hush. We’re going to get ready now, Travis. You all go on the back deck. Ned and Shan turned on the heater out there earlier, so it should be nice and warm.” She shooed the children to the back while she sat on my lap.
After the kids were out of sight, she tried to get up from my lap. I held her in place. “You owe me some kisses.” I didn’t break my focus from her as she locked lips with me in a passionately deep kiss.
Ruth had always been an amazing kisser from our first kiss.
Early in our relationship, I asked her how she learned to kiss so good.
That was a mistake. At that time, she was still the naive Ruth that spoke freely in her innocence of not realizing I was crazy.
She told me her ex-boyfriend taught her.
In her defense, this was before I told her about my catch and release to the judgement table services.
I wanted to choke the shit out her ex, but I knew it was illogical to do that. I just got his latest STD results and sent them to his wife. Elijah Cooper had a friendly dick, even in marriage. Mrs. Cooper had a right to know, damn the HIPAA laws.
“Do you feel better? You got your kisses,” Ruth said quietly. She climbed off my lap.
I stood to my feet, wrapped my arms around her, and pulled her into me. My lips pecked hers. “Yeah, you gave my lips kisses, but my boy down there needs some too.”
Her eyes trailed down to her other sacred place with a smirk. She didn’t return her eyes back to mine before she spoke. “Let’s get in the shower, and I’ll take care of that for you.”
Dinner With the Fam . . .
“This was a good damn idea. Come somewhere so we can fuck it up and leave. You would think it was our boys that gave us hell, but no. It’s Zoie’s lil ass,” Draco said before he shook his head and sighed.
I chuckled. “Not Dr. Carson can’t control his kids. What, your psycho skills don’t work on them?”
The big family dinner was over, so the men and women split up to do our own kickbacks.
The younger kids were with their nannies in Draco and Taelyn’s cabin.
The teenagers were in the resort’s movie theater with a chaperone.
We weren’t worried about any funny business, but in the same breath, I couldn’t trust that lil nigga Travis.
My thought of him made me throw a scowl Trevor’s way.
Draco raised his finger. “I never said that I couldn’t control my kids. Zoie has taken an interest in chemicals thanks to her great-great uncle Justin. On top of that, she’s been learning computer tech from her mother and Mauri.”
Jacob snickered. “I told y’all ass to not let that girl do those damn projects with my daddy. Y’all think Ned and Mega putting some FHRs in a soda bottle under a car was something. Wait until she figures out how to use an ink pen, safety pin, and a cell phone to make something blow up.”
“Yeah, that’s crazy to let her around Smoke when he’s in his bag.
That man is too old to still be doing that crazy stuff.
It was bad enough that Charleston County School District let that man come into their school system as a high school chemistry teacher.
A billionaire chemistry teacher is crazy,” I seriously jested.
Justin Christianson had been a high school chemistry teacher for almost twelve years now.
The man literally woke up one day in his billionaire boredom and decided that he wanted to teach the minds of the future.
I couldn’t really talk trash, because he was a damn good educator, and the kids loved him.
He’d won teacher of the year a few times.
Draco tittered. “She went over there a few times with your damn wife, Jacob. Ask Galiana why she let your father turn my daughter into a mini bomb maker.” Draco waved us off. “Trustin, Keshawn, Chance, what’s been going on with y’all? It’s been a while since I’ve seen y’all.”
I told Liam Christianson that he should’ve gotten a finder’s fee for all his mentees that got professional football contracts.
All three boys played now. Keshawn played with Shaun on the Carolina Cougars.
Trustin played for the Florida Vipers, and Chance played for the Tennessee Warhawks.
Keshawn was already on the team when Shaun was drafted.
Trustin was the first to respond. “It’s been cool. Florida is hot as fuck, but it’s cool. I’m happy Grandpa moved down there. Y’all know I don’t mess with too many niggas, so now I have someone to chill with during the season.”
Chance snickered. “Bro, your ass is in Charleston more than you’re in Florida. It doesn’t matter if it’s on or off season.”
Trustin’s head snapped in his brother’s direction. “And you know dat because you be there too, nigga. You be having Mama cook you food for weeks. Non cooking ass nigga.”
Everyone on the warm deck snickered. Pax moved to Florida with his wife the year after Trustin was drafted.
He claimed he wanted to live closer to the beach, but War thought it was to make sure Trustin was straight.
I agreed with that. When it was the off season, all of the boys lived in Charleston.
All of our attention eventually turned to Keshawn who hadn’t given an answer. He seemed to be distracted. His father called his name to get his mind back on the deck with us. “Oh, everything is cool with me. Y’all know I stay coolin’.”
My brow rose when he glanced at Shaun with a look that I couldn’t quite read. I scanned the room to see who noticed. A few of us seemed to notice, but we knew better than to call it out. At least right now.
I lifted my wrist to peek at my watch. I stood from my seat. “Well, gentlemen, it’s late, and I got a happy place to visit before our kids take over our Christmas morning. Y’all niggas jingle some bells, and I’ll see y’all in the grand room in the morning.”
