Hattie’s Emergency Christmas Cookies
Hey there! It’s Hattie here! There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned sugar cookie when you’re dealing with murder investigations and holiday chaos!
These little beauties have gotten me through some pretty intense moments—like when I need to stress-eat while figuring out who the killer is, or when I need to bribe witnesses for information.
Cricket and Rookie are big fans too, though Cricket insists they’re merely adequate compared to salmon treats.
The best part? They’re so simple even someone fleeing a crime scene could whip them up!
Happy cookie making and Merry Christmas! Ho-ho-ho!
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
In separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until dough forms.
Roll out on floured surface and cut with Christmas cookie cutters.
Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
