Chapter 832 The Galaxy Begins to Reset
The prisoner saw the human bones scattered across the table and immediately understood why he had been brought there.
He tried to retreat, but two White Tiger guards dragged him forward.
“He can barely stand,” the female tiger said with a frown.
“He has already collapsed three times in the mines,” the servant explained. “The overseer said he would not survive another week.”
“Then he has no value left,” the Deity Transformation tiger replied. “Prepare him.”
The human servant lowered his head, his face drained of all color.
“I was told no race treated humanity more brutally than the Starhounds. It seems there is always someone willing to sink even lower.”
An unfamiliar voice echoed through the room.
“Who said that?”
The tiger cultivator shot to his feet and swept a vicious gaze over the human servants.
The humans were equally confused. They glanced at one another, each wondering who had spoken.
“I’m right here.”
Kael appeared atop the dining table.
“You’re human? What realm are you in?”
The tiger cultivator examined Kael from head to toe.
The instant his Spiritual Sense swept across Kael, all trace of contempt vanished from his features. Despite his Deity Transformation cultivation, he could not see through the stranger’s strength. The man before him was utterly unfathomable.
His gaze darted sideways as he discreetly took out a Voidlink Mirror.
Kael made no attempt to stop him. His attention had settled on the shackled laborer and the human bones scattered across the table.
The shame and fury smoldering within him hardened into murderous rage.
“Who gave you permission to sit there?” A Nascent Soul tiger pointed directly at Kael’s face. “That seat isn’t meant for someone like you. Get up.”
He was young and ignorant enough to have never learned fear. In the White Tiger Galaxy, he believed every race was obligated to yield to him—especially a lowly human like Kael.
Kael regarded him as though he were already dead.
“What are you staring at? Do you want me to gouge out your eyes?”
Despite his youth, the tiger cultivator was already vicious beyond measure.
Without warning, Kael reached out, seized him by the back of the neck, and lifted him into the air.
“What are you doing?”
The Deity Transformation tiger had been using the Voidlink Mirror to contact the planet’s senior White Tiger cultivators. When he saw what was happening, panic crept into his voice.
The young tiger kicked wildly in Kael’s grip.
Kael shoved him downward.
The young tiger plunged straight into the boiling broth. Bubbles churned across the surface as his muffled screams filled the room.
“How dare you!”
The other tiger cultivators sprang to their feet, ready to attack.
Before any of them could move, an invisible force locked them in place.
“What expert has come to our planet?”
Three figures appeared inside the hall.
They were the strongest White Tiger cultivators on the planet, and all three had reached the Planetary Realm. Their leader stood at the Great Circle of the Planetary Realm, only a step away from advancing to the Stellar Realm.
“You... You’re Kael?”
As Planetary Realm cultivators, they recognized him immediately.
“Good. Then you know who has come for you.” Kael’s gaze moved from the human bones on the table to the three Planetary Realm tigers.
“This family treated humans as livestock and prepared living prisoners for slaughter. They will die. You will seal every mine and labor camp on this planet, release every human slave, and surrender the slave registers.”
The leader’s expression darkened.
“This is a White Tiger world. You have no authority to judge us.”
“Then you have chosen to protect them.”
Flames flared within Kael’s right eye.
The Myriad Spirit Light swept across the hall. The seven members of the family were reduced to ash before they could move.
Kael shattered the shackles around the human laborer’s wrists and ankles, then turned toward the three Planetary Realm tigers.
“K-Kael, if the White Tiger Race has offended you, please forgive us,” their leader pleaded, his voice trembling. “Take whatever you desire from this planet. We ask only that you allow the three of us to leave.”
“If I kill you, I can take everything myself.”
Kael’s voice remained indifferent.
“Then you’ve left us no choice but to fight to the death.”
The leader immediately summoned a spirit sword. Lightning crackled across its blade as he slashed at Kael.
The next instant, the sword seemed to strike a wall of solidified air.
The spirit sword slowed to a crawl, as did every movement of the White Tiger wielding it. Both were moving ten thousand times slower than before.
With one hand clasped behind his back, Kael walked forward at an unhurried pace and plucked the spirit sword from the tiger’s grasp.
The other two Planetary Realm cultivators had already been completely immobilized by his Spacetime Domain. Neither could move so much as a finger.
All three of their heads exploded at once.
“Hm?”
Kael’s attention shifted to the remains of the leader’s brain.
A parasite had been living inside it for an unknown number of years. The creature had been blown apart along with its host.
Kael’s features hardened.
He had never expected the Broodmother to have infested the White Tiger Race as well.
Did that mean the Insect Race had encouraged the White Tigers’ cruelty toward humanity?
A violent tremor suddenly rolled through the sky.
Kael immediately released his Spiritual Sense and swept it into the distance.
Hundreds of millions of miles away, another planet of roughly the same size was hurtling toward the world beneath him. It was moving as fast as a Machine Race vessel.
“Are these two planets about to collide?”
Kael summoned Astral Mountain.
The artifact expanded until it stretched thousands of miles across, then shot directly toward the approaching planet.
After a long while, Astral Mountain punched through the oncoming world and forced it onto a different trajectory.
Countless planetary fragments scattered through the surrounding reaches of space.
“The gravitational field here was perfectly stable a moment ago. Why would a planet suddenly veer off course and collide with this one?”
Kael murmured the question to himself.
“This is bad.”
Aethera’s urgent voice sounded within his sea of consciousness.
“Bad?”
Kael’s brow furrowed.
“Do you remember noticing that the stars and planets were moving faster before the Broodmother contacted you?” Aethera asked.
“Of course I remember. Are you saying that was connected to this?”
“Yes. The first disturbance began when Astral Mountain swallowed that anomalous high-mass planet you encountered on your way back to Skyfire Planet. Its immense mass disrupted the balance maintained by the Blood Jade Galaxy’s Heavenly Laws.
At first, the effects were limited, which was why you noticed only a slight acceleration in the movement of the stars and planets.
“But when you later forced your way through the galaxy’s boundary, you proved that its authority over you was no longer absolute. That transformed the original disturbance into a complete reset.”
“Reset itself? What does that mean?”
Kael could already tell that the answer would be disastrous.
“The galaxy will destroy every living creature within its borders, then create new life—life that obeys its laws. Astral Mountain’s transformation caused the first instability, but your escape through the boundary accelerated it beyond recovery.
“The Blood Jade Galaxy now believes that a fatal flaw has appeared in its laws. To eliminate that flaw, it has begun resetting itself.”
“Reset?”
Shock froze Kael in place.
“Are you saying every living creature in this galaxy is about to die?”
