Chapter 834 The Fall of the White Tiger Race

Regulus had been cut in half, but he was far from dead. His severed upper and lower body twisted toward each other, already attempting to rejoin.

Kael gave him no chance.

Flames flared within the right eye of his second head.

“No!”

Panic flashed across Regulus’s features as he tried to dodge.

A piercing metallic shriek rang out, like a cutting torch biting into steel.

The Myriad Spirit Light blasted Regulus’s head apart. The beam then swept sideways in a blazing arc, slicing the rest of his body into more than a dozen pieces.

Even that was not enough to kill a late-stage Eternal Realm expert.

The fragments writhed violently before scattering in every direction. Regulus intended to escape and regenerate from his blood once he reached safety.

A deep hum rolled through the air.

Unfortunately for him, Kael had already unleashed his third attack.

A vast swarm of Golden Beetles surged after the fleeing pieces. Their clawed legs dug deep into the flesh, preventing even a single fragment from escaping.

“Aaaargh!”

The White Tiger Patriarch swung both hammers at Kael, hoping to buy Regulus enough time to flee.

Just before the weapons struck, another beam of Myriad Spirit Light shot toward him.

It pierced one of his black hammers, leaving a gaping hole through its center. The beam barely weakened before continuing onward and punching straight through the Patriarch’s chest.

“Aaaargh!”

The White Tiger Patriarch staggered back more than a dozen steps before crashing through True Spirit Hall and bringing the entire structure down around him.

Clang!

One of his black iron hammers slipped from his grasp and struck the ground with a deafening crash.

“Aaaargh!”

In the distance, the Golden Beetles completely enveloped Regulus’s remains and began devouring them in a frenzy.

Kael spared him no further attention. He raised his spirit sword once more and aimed it at the White Tiger Patriarch.

“Wait!”

The Patriarch hurriedly raised a hand.

The colossal sword came crashing down.

“Aaaargh!”

The White Tiger Patriarch’s unpetrified right arm was severed at the shoulder. Kael had deliberately left him with only his stiff, useless left arm—the one that had already turned to stone.

“Go on,” Kael said after completing the strike.

“You... How could you—”

The White Tiger Patriarch stared at him with a mixture of fury and disbelief. He had never encountered a human so utterly merciless, one who did not even pretend to fight honorably.

“Kael, the White Tiger Race will surrender all its resources to you,” he forced out.

“They already belong to me. I don’t need you to tell me that.” Kael’s voice remained indifferent. “Now summon every White Tiger cultivator at or above the Deity Transformation Realm.”

He had barely finished speaking when his attention shifted toward the distant reaches of space.

Two figures were racing toward True Spirit City at tremendous speed.

Just before one of them reached the city, he thrust out his right hand.

Kael was about to respond when a black iron ring abruptly snapped shut around his arm. It contracted at once, radiating faint fluctuations of Heavenly Law.

“Hmph!”

Every muscle in Kael’s fiendgod body tightened.

The Spirit-Suppression Ring screeched beneath the strain.

“Hahahaha! Kael, you should have killed me when you had the chance.” The White Tiger Patriarch slowly rose to his feet. Threads of blood intertwined over his right shoulder as a new arm began to grow. “Now that the Spirit-Suppression Ring has you, let’s see how long you can endure.”

Kael released his Spacetime Domain.

It lasted less than a heartbeat before the Heavenly Law within the Spirit-Suppression Ring crushed it back into his body.

The other two Eternal Realm White Tigers stopped above Kael. One formed a rapid series of hand seals while the other chanted an incantation. Both poured their power into the Spirit-Suppression Ring.

The White Tiger Patriarch joined them, attempting to tighten the ring until it crushed Kael apart.

“ROAR!”

A heaven-shaking bellow erupted from Kael’s fiendgod form.

A head as vast as a planet rose into the sky as the Grand Celestial Manifestation emerged behind him. At the same time, flames blazed within Kael’s right eye, and the Myriad Spirit Light swept across the Spirit-Suppression Ring.

A piercing screech tore through the heavens.

This was a direct contest between Kael’s body and one of the White Tiger Race’s greatest treasures.

The heavens convulsed for hundreds of thousands of miles around him. Spatial fissures flickered in and out of existence.

“This is bad!”

The White Tiger Patriarch stopped chanting, raised his remaining hammer, and brought it down upon Kael with all his strength.

He was already too late.

The Grand Celestial Manifestation detonated.

A beam of cosmic radiation erupted from the White Tiger homeworld, blazing brightly enough to be seen from ten light-years away.

A deafening metallic crash rang out, followed by a prolonged hum.

The Spirit-Suppression Ring shattered, its fragments scattering across the sky.

As the blinding light faded, Kael’s thunderous footsteps shook True Spirit City.

“What?”

Huang was too stunned to react before Kael’s fiendgod hand closed around him.

Kael tightened his fingers.

Huang’s body exploded in his grasp.

As though they had been waiting for that exact signal, the Golden Beetles swarmed toward the scattered remains.

Kael reached into the sky with his other hand and caught Zhu.

The two White Tiger experts were still reeling from the destruction of the Spirit-Suppression Ring. Neither had recovered quickly enough to evade him.

A wet explosion echoed through the city.

Zhu’s body burst apart, followed almost immediately by the furious buzzing of Golden Beetles.

“Kael, I’ll summon everyone!” the White Tiger Patriarch shouted. He hurriedly took out his Astral Compass.

“No need.”

Astral Mountain came crashing down.

Rumble!

Riding the momentum of shattering the Spirit-Suppression Ring, Kael killed three Eternal Realm White Tigers in rapid succession.

With that, the White Tiger Race fell to the ranks of a second-rate power. Not a single Eternal Realm cultivator remained to protect them.

Kael’s Spiritual Sense spread across the entire White Tiger homeworld.

Instead of attacking every White Tiger, he shattered the planet-protecting formations and sealed the cultivation of the officials and commanders who continued to resist.

“From this moment onward, the enslavement of humanity is abolished throughout the White Tiger Galaxy,” Kael declared. “Open every mine, labor camp, and slave compound. Anyone who destroys evidence, attacks a human, or attempts to continue the slave system will die.”

Several White Tiger commanders attempted to resist. Kael released the Golden Beetles and annihilated them before they could reach the human settlements.

Over the following three days, the human survivors seized the slave registers and military records. The White Tiger officials responsible for massacres, cannibalism, and the slave system were brought before Kael and executed.

Ordinary White Tigers who surrendered their weapons were allowed to live.

Kael placed the homeworld’s defensive formations and teleportation arrays under the control of a provisional human council. He also ordered them to preserve the brains and records of the dead White Tiger leaders so that the Broodmother’s infiltration could be investigated.

With that declaration, Kael entered his Inner Cosmos.

He did not immediately close his eyes to recover. Instead, he opened his status panel.

[Eternal Points: 165.632]

Kael invested every last Eternal Point into his Inner Cosmos.

[Eternal Tier 2: 20%]

[Basic Inner Cosmos: 681/1,000]

[Myriad Spirit Eye Tier 1: 15/100]

[Sound Spirit Root: 5%]

[Machine Spirit Root: 5%]

It was still only a Basic Inner Cosmos.

Kael had never expected expanding it to become so difficult after reaching the Eternal Realm. Even now, his Inner Cosmos measured less than seven hundred miles in every direction.

For an ordinary Eternal Realm cultivator, a world that small would have been almost laughable.

Kael had once entered Hadrian’s Inner Cosmos. The ancient monster had lived for hundreds of thousands of years—perhaps even millions—and his Inner Cosmos extended tens of millions of miles in every direction.

After allocating his points, Kael left his Inner Cosmos.

A vast crowd of humans had already gathered nearby. They stared at their surroundings in confusion, still struggling to comprehend the upheaval that had just swept across their world.

“Have the White Tiger rulers been defeated?”

“They have,” Kael replied. “Their Eternal Realm cultivators are dead, the slave system has been abolished, and those responsible for treating humans as livestock have been executed.”

Kael looked down at the densely packed crowd.

They continued staring at him blankly.

Kael’s heart sank as he realized what must have happened.

The White Tiger Race had sealed off every source of information available to the humans on this planet. They had not wanted their slaves to hear of Kael’s deeds, learn that humanity had risen elsewhere, and begin dreaming of rebellion.
