Chapter 6 Jubilae

Meet The Daughter . . .

After Julius died, I remembered something that my father told me that I held close to me. He told me not to seek love. Just like I allowed the real love of Julius to find me, whoever God had for me in the next romantic chapter of my life would find me too.

Over the years, I dated but never committed to anyone because that feeling was never there.

It was a hard feeling to put into words, but for a lack of better words, I would say it was a feeling of eternal longing for someone.

The men I dated helped my boredom and sexual desire, but I knew none of them were who I wanted to be with for any deeper reason than an orgasm.

After JJ went to college, I had a little ho phase that was very satisfying for a time. Yes, Julius was my first everything, but after his death, I caught up on some dick. I was far from a prude.

When I met Robert, I knew immediately that I wanted to have sex with him.

I think I knew that from his LinkedIn profile.

It wasn’t until we worked closely, had professional and personal conversations that the eternal longing welcomed itself to the chat.

I woke up every day excited to go to work, just to see him.

Robert told me that he would add fun on our California itinerary.

Little did he know, I added his heart and dick to mine.

Everything that happened between us was planned in my mind.

The only thing that was not planned was my son’s pop-up.

Your kids could be your biggest blockers.

I didn’t find out about his pop-up until Robert, Jackie, Joy, and I were on the corporate jet on the way back to Georgia.

Unfortunately, I was told that the conversation was not for my consumption.

A few days after I returned from California, JJ let me know that he gave me his blessing to be with Robert. It was such a cute, heartfelt conversation. As much as I wanted to say that his blessing didn’t matter, my heart knew it did. Robert would be the first man that JJ would see me with.

My family knew about Robert and me. My parents looked forward to meeting him soon.

Now, it was time for our company to know.

I felt more anxiety about the company knowing than my family.

Since California, Robert and I had been on our utmost professional behavior while in the office.

Well, at least in front of others. When we were behind his or my closed office door, there were times that salacious activities occurred.

Last week, Robert let me know that he was prepared to make our relationship public.

He refused to hide it any longer. I understood where he was coming from, but I was still worried.

How would it be received? Sure, there were no rules against it, but this wasn’t a pharm rep and an accountant in the company disclosing. This was the CEO and president.

“Did you hire someone to come cook breakfast for us?” I asked after I sat up in the bed where Robert had just fucked the sense out of me. When we started having sex, I didn’t smell bacon, but now I did. Did he fuck my senses up!

Robert wiped his hand down his face. “No, I didn’t. That is none other than my lovely daughter, Simonette, coming to be overbearing.”

My eyes bucked. “What! Oh my God! She probably heard us.”

He chortled when I jumped out of the bed. “Baby, if she did, her lil ass should have been at home with her husband. I told her about coming here unannounced. Matter of fact, I’m changing her door code when she leaves.”

My trek to the bathroom stopped. I spun around to face him. “Don’t you dare! There is nothing wrong with her making sure her father is alright. I would do the same thing if I lived closer to my daddy.”

His brow arched and jaw tightened. “Your mama would be fine with you popping up in her house like that? She’s in charge of making sure her husband is alright.”

My response got caught in my eyes when he stood out of the bed and his dick rested comfortably on his thigh.

It was beautiful, and when it was hard, it was like it defied gravity.

I didn’t snap out of my lustful gaze until he snapped his fingers with a chuckle.

“Um, you’re not married, so she can check on her daddy. ”

He walked up to me in all his naked glory, leaned down, then kissed my lips. “I’m not married yet. It’s coming though.”

His statement caught me just as off guard as the smack to my ass did when he passed me. I wanted to fuss, but his request for us to get in the shower was more important. There will be no sex in the shower.

Well, the no sex in the shower was a wasted mantra. Robert knew that I was a noisy lover, so it felt like he challenged me to quiet sex when he picked me up and set me on his dick. It took us a little longer to get ready because I was nervous, so I intentionally stalled.

Robert was already downstairs. I was dressed and ready to go downstairs. It was time to meet the daughter.

When I got to the kitchen, Robert and his daughter sat at the kitchen table with plates in front of them. They stood when I entered. Simonette looked like she was ready to pop.

Robert came over and kissed my lips. “Hey, baby, I put your plate in the microwave. Let me warm it up. First, baby, this is my daughter, Simonette. Simonette, this is my baby, Jubilae.”

Her cheeks rose to make room for her beautiful smile. “Hi, Jubilae. I’ve heard so much about you. I’m sorry for popping up and interrupting y’all’s morning. I didn’t realize you would be here.”

“You do not have to apologize for checking on your father. It is so nice to finally meet you. Your father gushes about you often. You’re his greatest achievement.” That was the truth based on what Robert told me.

Her cheeks turned rosy, and she swooped her hair behind her ear. “That’s so sweet. He’s the best father.” When Robert set my plate at the empty seat at the table, Simonette’s eyes bucked a little. “Oh, Jubilae, I am so sorry. I didn’t realize that you only ate beef bacon.”

I sat down in the chair that Robert pulled out for me. “Girl, you are fine. There will be more than enough time for us to learn each other’s likes and dislikes. So, are you excited to become a new mommy?”

“Yes, I am so excited. Oh, you should come to my baby shower. I would love to have you and your family there. My daddy told me that you have a son and a sister that you are very close with,” she said with a beaming smile.

My eyes connected to Robert’s. He gave me a warm smile accompanied with a wink. His description of Simonette being a saint in her own right seemed to be correct. “I would love to come. I’m definitely going to bring my son, JJ. Maybe it will make him want to settle down so that I can be a GlamMa.”

She giggled. “Is that what you want your grandchildren to call you? That is so cute.”

“It is, because I am too fly to be anyone’s grandma. I need my grandbabies to know.” I giggled with my comment.

Robert just shook his head while Simonette and I laughed. “Oh, you should have them call you Glammie! What about that?”

I felt my eyes light up. “I like that so much better.” I placed my hand over my chest. “Come to your Glammie, baby. How does that sound, Robbie?”

His finger went up in the air when his daughter’s head snapped in his direction. “Simonette, don’t say a word. Yes, she calls me Robbie. Pressie, if that’s what you want them to call you, then that is what they will call you.”

Her face contorted. “Why do you call her Pressie, Daddy?” She turned to me, then asked, “Is your middle name Presley or something?”

Robert leaned forward on the table. “Baby, would you like to tell her why that’s your nickname? I could tell her if you like.”

I finished the pineapple in my mouth. I lifted my arm to look at my wristwatch. “Robert, we need to get going before we’re late for our meeting.”

Simonette stood from the table. In a soft voice, she mumbled, “Yuck, that means it’s nasty. I should have never asked.”

She laughed. “Let’s go, love. Simonette, leave this stuff where it is. The housekeeper is coming today. She will take care of it. Better yet, let’s go. You’re leaving with us.”

They went back and forth about him kicking her out of his house. It was the cutest thing. He was such a girl dad. We all left the house together. “What are you doing?” Robert asked when I walked toward my SUV.

I looked between my SUV and him. His question confused me. “I’m getting in so I can get to the office.”

He walked over to me, put his hand on the small of my back, then kissed my temple. “No. We’re riding in together today. Let’s go.”

He didn’t give me the opportunity to say anything before he gently pushed me toward his SUV.

Simonette giggled as she got into her Jeep and told us goodbye.

She reminded me that I was invited to the baby shower, then she was on her way.

I climbed into the passenger seat of Robert’s SUV and got comfortable.

It wasn’t too often that I got to be a passenger princess, so I would enjoy this.

Time To Disclose . . .

Robert and I sat next to each other in a conference room on the human resources and legal floor, across from all the important people that needed to be in the know of our relationship status.

We’d just disclosed it to them, and based on their reaction, none of them saw it coming.

They seemed surprised, which was interesting.

“Okay, well, I’m not sure what I expected this meeting to be about, but that was not it,” Conner, the president of our HR department said.

“You both know that we have no policy against fraternization. While that is fair and true, a romantic relationship between our new CEO and president could be perceived adversely.”
