chapter 2

I went back home and started packing.

Cold water flowed through my fingertips, and the reflection in the mirror showed sharp features, vastly different from my past life.

I pulled out a cold smile.

In this life, destiny must be in my own hands.

Not only that, but I will make them pay!

After packing my luggage, I picked up the suitcase and was about to leave when my phone suddenly rang.

"Natalie! You crazy woman! Get to the hospital right now!"

On the other end of the call were Brian's curses and Claire's sobbing.

I let out a cold laugh and said, "Why should I?"

Brian choked, as if he couldn't believe I would say such a thing.

He shouted angrily, "What the hell is wrong with you! Get to the hospital now! If you're a second late, I'll break your legs!"

After saying that, he hastily hung up the phone.

I stared at the call log on my phone, expressionless, and blocked his number.

In my previous life, I was sent to the hospital, and no one took care of me.

Even the hospital bills were paid by the driver at fault; they didn't contribute a single cent.

Now, they want me to go to the hospital as a free nanny?

Impossible!

I pushed open my parents' bedroom door and walked straight to the safe.

In my previous life, this safe was strictly guarded by them, hiding who knows what shady stuff inside.

The safe was locked with a password, and I didnt know the code.

After thinking for a moment, I decided to buy two cameras, one for the living room and one for the bedroom, both placed in hidden corners.

This time, Im determined to uncover all their secrets.

I returned to school, put away my luggage, and decided I could never go back to that home.

At the same time, I registered a Twitter account online.

In my past life, I was disabled with both legs and had my tongue cut out, completely reduced to a useless person, barely surviving through painting.

Im quite talented in painting and quickly gained a lot of followers.

In this life, I enjoy the thrill of being the butcher rather than the lamb to be slaughtered.

My phone rang again.

Claire's tone was laced with anger. "Natalie, if you don't come to the hospital, we'll sue you!"

I thought, "Sue me?

What a joke.

How could parents sue their own daughter?"

A trace of mockery flashed in my eyes.

Morgan gets endless love from the whole family, while I endure insults, beatings, and indifference.

Suddenly, I thought of a possibility.
