Chapter 218 If You Mind, I Can Withdraw!

Li Ziheng remained silent for a long time.

After a good while, he looked at Zhao Wenna with a complex expression and said, "Nana, do you think it's appropriate for you to let me make this decision?"

"Why wouldn't it be appropriate?"

Zhao Wenna frowned, somewhat unable to understand Li Ziheng's thoughts.

Li Ziheng explained, "Although the memories being erased are related to me, they belong to her after all. She and I are just friends. I think we should ask for her mother's opinion first before making this decision."

"Don't worry about that. I will definitely ask her parents. I just thought I should prioritize asking for your opinion!"

Zhao Wenna smiled and added, "After all, you paid to hire me. Since I took your money, of course I have to prioritize your opinion."

"Secondly, although you have no relationship with Miss Jiang now, you are her ex-husband, aren't you?"

Hearing this, Li Ziheng gave a bitter smile and sighed, "Since the memories between her and me can only bring her endless pain, it would be better to just erase them. I have no objection."

"Alright, then I will go to Miss Jiang's house again tomorrow to ask for her parents' opinion."

Zhao Wenna nodded slightly. After finishing the remaining coffee, she stood up and left.

Li Ziheng wanted to walk Zhao Wenna back to the hotel, but Zhao Wenna refused.

In her words, she came to Yun City partly to treat Jiang Wan's illness, and partly to take this opportunity to tour Yun City and see its beautiful scenery.

After leaving the café, Li Ziheng drove to Yunhai.

Inside the President's Office.

An Ya was lowering her head to process the documents in her hand.

She had always been very serious and devoted to her work.

In the past, she was very efficient when handling work, and she could always finish the day's work before getting off duty.

But today, for some reason, she not only made frequent mistakes but also couldn't concentrate. As a result, after an entire morning, the pile of documents on her desk hadn't decreased much at all.

"Creak—"

The office door was pushed open again.

An Ya thought it was the secretary coming to urge her. Without raising her head, she subconsciously said, "Come back later. I haven't finished reading this document yet."

"Creak—"

As soon as her voice fell, the office door was closed.

An Ya looked at the document in her hand. She was about to sign it with the fountain pen, but thinking that a detail earlier seemed problematic, she flipped back to the previous page.

"Little Ya, you don't look so good. How about letting me do it?"

Just as An Ya was looking carefully at the document, Li Ziheng's voice suddenly came from beside her.

She turned her head abruptly, only to see that Li Ziheng had somehow already arrived by her side.

"Brother, when did you get here?"

"I just came in. You were too focused and didn't notice me."

Li Ziheng smiled and reached out to take the fountain pen from An Ya's hand.

"You rest for a bit! Let me handle the remaining work."

As Li Ziheng spoke, he performed a princess carry and directly lifted An Ya from the boss's chair.

An Ya was startled and subconsciously wrapped her arms around Li Ziheng's neck.

Li Ziheng carried An Ya to the sofa in the office rest area. He reached out and gently stroked An Ya's fair, beautiful face, speaking softly, "You rest for a while, and take a look at what we should eat for lunch while you're at it."

After saying that, Li Ziheng turned around to process the remaining documents on the desk.

An Ya watched Li Ziheng working seriously. Her gaze was complex, filled with infatuation, helplessness, adoration, and resentment.

Time passed second by second. Li Ziheng devoted himself entirely to his work.

About three hours later, he finally finished processing all the documents on the desk.

He used the landline to call the female secretary over and asked her to take the documents away.

After finishing the work, Li Ziheng looked at An Ya not far away.

What surprised Li Ziheng somewhat was that An Ya was also looking at him, but her eyes were a bit dazed, as if she was thinking about something.

Li Ziheng stood up and walked over. He waved his hand in front of An Ya's eyes, and only then did she come back to her senses.

"Little Ya, what are you thinking about? You're so lost in thought?"

"N-nothing!"

An Ya shook her head, her eyes dodging a bit.

From her reaction, Li Ziheng guessed the general idea, but he knew that at a time like this, he must not compromise, and instead had to be assertive.

Otherwise, An Ya would definitely back down.

Thinking of this, a bold idea sprouted in Li Ziheng's mind, so he suggested, "Little Ya, the work here is basically all done. How about we get off work early?"

"Either way is fine. I'll listen to you."

An Ya nodded somewhat absentmindedly.

Immediately, Li Ziheng held An Ya's soft, boneless little hand. Under the envious gazes of many passing employees, they entered the elevator.

The two left the company, and Li Ziheng drove An Ya straight to Song Yiyi's home.

On the way, while waiting for a red light, Li Ziheng quietly sent a message to Song Yiyi, informing her of his plan.

In less than half an hour, Li Ziheng and An Ya arrived at Song Yiyi's home.

After getting out of the car, An Ya looked at the Chinese-style courtyard before her, and her expression changed slightly. She asked suspiciously, "What are we doing here?"

Before Li Ziheng could answer, Song Yiyi had already come out with the steward to welcome them.

"Sister Ya!"

Song Yiyi walked over quickly and enthusiastically, hugging An Ya's arm at once.

An Ya smiled with a somewhat stiff expression, which counted as a response.

"Don't just stand there foolishly. Let's go inside and talk!"

Song Yiyi didn't care what An Ya was thinking at this moment; she just pulled An Ya directly into the courtyard.

The three of them went to the living room. The servant thoughtfully brought a fruit platter and tea.

On the living room sofa, Li Ziheng sat alone, while Song Yiyi pulled An Ya to sit together.

An Ya was not in a good mood. She didn't speak the whole time, only occasionally casting extremely resentful and reproachful looks at Li Ziheng.

"..."

Li Ziheng pretended not to see it and acted as if he were dead.

Fortunately, at this moment, Song Yiyi suddenly said to him, "Brother, my dad seems to have left some letters for you in his study. Go take a look!"

While speaking, Song Yiyi also winked at him.

Li Ziheng understood immediately and instantly stood up, asking the steward to take him to Song Huaiyan's study.

After Li Ziheng left, Song Yiyi took a deep breath, tightly held An Ya's hand, and spoke softly, "Sister Ya, do you already know about Li Ziheng and me?"

"..."

Hearing this, An Ya raised her eyes to look at her but did not speak.

"You don't need to blame Li Ziheng for this matter. It's all my fault. I couldn't control my feelings for him. It was me who actively seduced him. If you are angry, just take it out on me."

Song Yiyi looked lonely and gave a bitter smile, "You might think I'm playing hard to get, but that's not it. After experiencing Dad's hospitalization, I truly regard you as my own sister."

"I'm just like you; I lost my mom very early! Dad raised me single-handedly. In the past, with my temper, I would definitely have fought you to the end."

"But I don't want to fight anymore. If you mind, I can withdraw and let you two be together!"

Song Yiyi's tone was sincere, and she didn't look like she was joking at all.
