Chapter 33
Passion
ALEK
Alek sat on the couch, a glass of strong vodka in hand. His eyes on the wall across from him. The wall was covered with paintings, and a few pictures. There was one of him and Gloria, she held Sorin, who he remembered had made it difficult for his parents and the painter that day.
“This is where you’ve been hiding.” Lanias’ voice reached him before she appeared.
He was momentarily distracted by the fact she wore only a bathrobe.
“I wondered where you’d gone.” As she wandered deeper into the room, she looked over at the wall.
“These are all of you?” she asked as she moved closer to it.
“Some of me, more of my sons,” he said, as he watched her study them.
She stopped before one to gaze at the portrait of his first wife.
He wondered what she thought as she examined the painting of Gloria.
He no longer felt pain in his heart. Instead, his curiosity drifted to what Gloria might have thought of Lanias.
They were as different as night and day.
Gloria had always wanted nothing more than to be his Queen, his wife.
She’d been elegant, born from the purest Vampire bloodline, bred to rule.
Lanias was her own woman. Her desires stemmed from her own needs. She’d built her own form of kingdom with her own hands. Nothing about her was pure or soft. She was like obsidian smoothed under heat and time.
“She’s beautiful.” Her words drew him out of his thoughts.
“She doesn’t seem like the type who’d ever set foot in the Shade,” she joked.
Half-turning, she faced him with open curiosity.
“I wonder now what could have attracted you to someone like me.” She glanced back at the painting.
“I mean, I know my worth, but it must’ve been very difficult to move forward after losing her. ”
“It was hard,” he confirmed, as he regarded Gloria’s painting.
“We’d had hundreds of years together building a home, a family, a clan.
Two thousand Beings and other Vampires, who settled on my land.
We built a veritable paradise in the mountains.
” He placed his cup down on the table and rose smoothly.
He slowly approached her. “There is no doubt she was a good wife, and mother.”
Stopping beside Lanias, he reached out and placed his hand on the bottom of the painting.
“In time, I mourned and found purpose again after her passing.” He gazed down at Lanias, his silver eyes gleaming like the moon just beyond the window.
Lanias swore those eyes held vast secrets like the night sky circling the moon.
“I was slowly losing my hold on reality; I hid it well.” He lowered his hand.
“And in the most random setting, and random time, I found you. I will never forget the way you stared at us when we appeared with your sister and a dead body.” She thought back to when they first met.
“You had fuck boy vibes even then,” she said as she eyed him up and down.
“I can’t say I dislike the suicidal poet look.
” His loose white shirt was open, baring his chest. She reached out, placing her hands against the center of his chest. “I always thought vampires would be cold. Why don’t you ever feel cold to me? ”
“Because you were made for me,” he said, covering her hand. “To me you always feel hot.”
She took a step closer. “At some point, aren’t you going to turn me into a Vampire? Isn’t that how the Vampire romances all end.”
“We don’t need to rush; you already carry my mark,” he said, moving her hair from her shoulders with his free hand. The tattoo there shifted just as the one on the center of her chest did. As if saying it was here, to them both. “You’re not eager to become Vamp Empress, are you?”
Her expression turned thoughtful. “No, not really. Also, something tells me even if you wanted it might not work as planned.”
“Plan.” Alek sighed at that word. “You could be on to something; I’ve learned to be careful with you when it comes to planning anything.”
She laughed. “Good, so no more plotting with me in mind.”
“As you command,” Alek said, leaning down to take her lips in a soft kiss.
Only as he’d known it would, it turned into something more heated.
As he inserted his tongue in her mouth, tracing along her tongue and tasting her sweet, and bold flavor.
And like her life, Lanias boldly took his offer of pleasure.
Her fingers pressed into his back, as her chest melted to his firm body. Lifting her chin in a silent plea for more of his kisses. When he finally allowed her to breathe, she didn’t pull away. She looked at him with eyes like hot stones. “I need you.”
He didn’t need any additional encouragement and picking her up they moved to the couch as he settled her atop him. “Take me,” he commanded.
She smirked at him, not hesitating in reaching into his pants to free the instrument of his essence. She grinned down at it. “You know I should repay you for being such a good Vampire.”
Before he could stop her, she moved from his lap to her knees on the floor. And with a naughty look his way, she opened her warm mouth and inhaled him. He hissed, letting his head fall back as she wrapped him in the wetness of her mouth.
She hummed, her tongue dancing along the side of his dick. He closed his hands in an effort not to touch her body since he wasn’t sure he’d be able to control his strength. “Shit, Lanias.”
She moaned, bobbing her head the suction imitating the squeeze of her vagina. She maintained the rhythm as he thrust upward. In fact, it seemed like she enjoyed it, as she pushed her head down simultaneously opening her mouth with greater invitation.
He groaned, finally looking down to see his dick go in and out of her mouth.
The sight of seeing her pleasure him, while looking like a cat drinking up milk, sent him spiraling, his fangs extended.
He bit the back of his hand, as he released a deep internal low moan when he felt her flick her tongue against the tip, playing with it like it was her favorite new toy.
“Lanias, I—Ah.” He could feel his balls tighten. “I’m—pull back.”
She didn’t, instead she pulled her head back and opened her mouth.
“Spill it all.” She crooned, stroking him, before wrapping her mouth around his dick once more.
And with one more flick of her tongue against the slit of his dick he shot his load.
She swallowed everything he gave her, her throat working along his length.
When he’d released the last drop, she sucked him up until he slipped from her mouth. She smiled filled with mischief, looking up at him. “Did you like your reward?”
He groaned, reaching down he used his strength to lift her up and settle her in his lap. “Let me taste myself on your tongue.” He took her lips in a desperate kiss as he pulled the shoulder of her robe down. “I love you.”’
She chuckled, shifting in his lap. “I think you’re ready for round two.”
He gave her lips another quick kiss before he growled, “I’m always ready for you.”
Her lips quirked. “Good.” She reached behind herself and grabbed him up. “Mmm, hard like I like it.”
Rising with his help she lowered herself slowly on him.
Her lashes fluttered as she filled herself.
Alek bit back a curse, this part was his fucking favorite.
When she became one with him, her lips parted as her eyes rolled back.
Damn, there was nothing more beautiful than Lanais’ pretty ass sitting on his dick.
He leaned forward, and pressed his teeth against her throat, he scraped upward along her neck. Eager to fucking take her in more ways than one.
She breathed heavily, as she began moving. “Ah-ah, so fucking good.”
Her hips moved back and forth, a rolling motion that always set his desire to maximum. His nails pricked into the skin of her back. Fucking Lanias was like performing a ritual, where she was his goddess and the only one who could give his damned soul salvation.
LANIAS
Lanias felt like every time she slid down his dick, she was tying herself tighter and tighter to Alek. His hold was almost crushing but she didn’t care. The pain that Alek brought her was well balanced with the pleasure bestowed.
She considered how she’d studied the face of the previous woman who’d shared his intimacies, a simmering part of her had wanted to slash the picture to pieces. The madness of the urge, she’d suppressed. Was that jealousy?
Was it wrong to want to make love here, in this room sending a message to the past and a woman who was already dead? She didn’t care as she took him with deliberate work of her hips. Call her a monster but that fraction of her thoughts wouldn’t deny it.
That’s just how much she felt and longed for Alek even more she needed him. The idea of him with anyone else other than her seemed wrong. The way they fit together, there couldn’t be anyone else for him and no one else for her.
“Lanias,” he said her name like a prayer, as he grabbed her hips and worked her on his dick.
His intent to pleasure her and him over the knife’s edge where she’d teased him to.
He increased his pace, her hands landed on his shoulders as she let him fuck her.
She never wanted this to stop and she wanted to remain in this place between gasping breaths and labored moans of pleasure.
She didn’t want to move from this place, where they both were only worried about giving the utmost pleasure to one another.
This is what it means when you find your other half. She reached up and grabbed his face, looking into those eyes that captured hers so easily.
She could see nothing in his eyes. Then noticed in their clarity that the only person reflected there was herself.
Their lovemaking suddenly slowed down, and she felt something slip from her eyes. “Thank you for looking for me,” she whispered, sincerely. “Thank you for loving me.”
He blinked, surprised as her tears dropped on his cheeks. Lanias took his lips in a desperate kiss, pouring the intensity of her feelings into it. She offered the fullness of goodness in her heart, and held it out to him.
Suddenly the race to the end began a slow climb.
They desperately wanted to soothe the other, breathing in and out as one.
The peak wrapped around them, causing them both to gasp as they orgasmed together.
Lanias moaned into his kiss, barely flinching when he moved to bite her.
She held him as close as possible feeling that she was feeding him her very soul as he drank her blood.
They didn’t move right away. They just sat together breathing in and out.
The moment was so intense, they didn’t want to disrupt it.
Lanias prayed her plan went well, she hadn’t shown her fear of making a mistake but for the first time in a long time. She internally made a wish that everything would go as planned. Because she finally had something all her own, and she wanted to protect it even if it cost her, her last breath.
Love had always seemed foolish to her. Something that wasn’t worth her time.
Alek had shown her with his presence, that love gave you a safe haven and it soothed your demons. Not that he was bothered by her demons. In fact, he embraced them.
She closed her eyes, slowly falling asleep in his arms.
ALEK
Alek picked up the sleeping Lanias and made his way to their bedroom. He’d been tense since the meeting. Lanias’ decision to play the bait didn’t sit well with him, but he knew she was determined. The only thing he could do was prepare for the worst.
Laying her in the bed, he pulled the blanket up and covered her. Brushing her hair from her forehead. “I hope you’ll forgive my high-handedness, but it’s the best way to protect you.”
With that he left the bedroom.
