Chapter 24 #3

I knew that something had to have happened between them, for how the nigga was bugging her, but I wasn’t expecting that.

I would admit, a part of me wondered if she done fucked the nigga and just didn’t want to tell me, but this wasn’t what I was expecting.

To hear that he put his hands on her and blacked her eye had me seeing red.

“Take me to that nigga, now!” I demanded and pulled Tyson along with me.

“Come on now, Havoc. Viper will kill me if I do that,” he tried to plead.

“Mothafucker, I will kill you and your whole fucking family!” I roared. He looked in my eyes and exhaled heavily. My brother was already gone, I didn’t have shit else to lose.

“Let’s go!”

I shoved him in front of me and directed him to my car. I wasn’t going in his shit. Tyson led me to the basketball court, and when I pulled up, I saw that Sony’s car was there.

“You might wanna leave,” I told him as I hopped out of the car. Tyson didn’t even wait and took off running like the pussy I knew him to be.

I noticed that all of Sony’s crew was outside with him, but I didn’t give a fuck. I had tunnel vision as I approached, and when he turned to look at me, I knocked the fuck outta him.

Sony fell to the ground, and I started whooping his ass. Some of his friends started kicking and punching me, but I didn’t let up. I could hear his jaw crack under my knuckles.

“BACK THE FUCK UP BEFORE I START SHOOTING!” I heard someone yell. I looked up to see that it was Shakur. He had two guns down by his side. He looked at me and nodded his head, telling me to continue.

I whooped the dog shit outta Sony while Shakur stood back and watched. He made sure none of Sony’s friends could jump in that shit.

When I had enough, I pulled my gun out and pressed it against Sony’s right eye.

“Mothafucker, if you even look at her ass again, I’m gon’ snatch your life, bitch. Do you understand me?” I barked in his face.

“I hear you! I hear you!” Sony coughed.

“DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!” I asked.

“Yes. I hear you, Havoc.”

Everything inside of me was telling me to kill this nigga on the spot, but I couldn’t.

Orlando would undoubtedly side with Viper if I took his son’s life.

I didn’t fear death, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to protect my mama, and that was the only reason why.

Sony was a pussy, so I knew he wouldn’t snitch on me, and that was the only satisfaction I could leave with.

An ass whooping Sony could hide, but there was no hiding him coming up missing.

I knew Viper, he wouldn’t let that shit go until he found out who did it.

God knew how hard it was for me not to kill this nigga. I wished I had the power to protect the people I cared about, but I didn’t.

I slowly stood back up to my feet, keeping my gun trained on Sony. He lay there, bleeding from his mouth as he watched me back up. Shakur and I caught each other’s eyes. He then looked at Sony and said, “You go near my sister again, and you’re a dead nigga, Sony.”

He just lay there on the ground staring back at us with so much fear dancing in his eyes.

I tucked my gun and walked away.

“Havoc, meet me at Oblique’s store. I want to talk to you,” Shakur said as we approached our cars. I turned to look at him. This nigga had never said a mothafucking thing to me, and now he wanted to talk?

I nodded because I was curious to know what he had to say.

I hopped in my car and followed him to Oblique’s store. When we pulled up outside, Shakur leaned against his car and watched me.

“I already know what you have to say, but I’m telling you that I wasn’t playing around with your sister, bruh,” I said. He and I didn’t say shit to each other, so I knew if he wanted to talk, it was about his sister.

Shakur rubbed his chin and nodded.

“I figured that much when I saw you try to take that nigga’s head off,” he lightly chuckled.

“I swear I only found out tonight,” I let him know. Ain’t no way Sony would have been able to get that close to Kairi if she just told me about it.

“I’m pissed she never told me,” I said. He nodded.

“I’m pissed too, but I get it. She was trying to protect me. She’d gone to the cops, but they told Viper. They fucked up my pops one night before I came back home,” Shakur told me, knocking the wind outta me.

“Fuck!” I roared and punched the air. Something told me that Viper might have known because why else would Sony feel untouchable to try again?

“I will admit, I don’t know you, Havoc. I didn’t like you because you’re Orlando’s son. I don’t want anything to do with those niggas, man. I ain’t ever trusted them,” Shakur said.

“Bruh, I wish that nigga wasn’t my pops. I don’t want to be part of this shit either, but I didn’t have a choice.”

It was sad that we were two grown men dealing with this shit because of our pops and not a choice we made ourselves.

“Look, my sister likes you, even though it pisses me off,” he said. I laughed. The look of disdain was funny as fuck to me. “But you do know she only fucked with you to get Ocean back, right?”

“I know. Your sister mean as fuck!”

We both fell out laughing. I was hurt as fuck to know she came onto me just to fuck with Ocean.

“But you know I ain’t fucking with Ocean like that. That’s Orlando’s doing,” I explained.

“Nigga, I was wondering why you wanna marry a bitch who eats dick for a living,” Shakur snorted. I frowned, wondering how he knew that shit if he wasn’t fucking with The Society like that until it clicked.

“She gave you head?”

“Yep,” he answered with a pop sound. “Sony’s been trying to recruit me for years, and she thought sucking my dick was gonna change my mind. I let her do it a few times and still told them no. Shit was mad trash anyway.”

I hollered laughing. This nigga was funny as hell.

“I ain’t ever fuck her though,” he said, hands up in mock surrender.

I shrugged. “That’s cool. Neither have I, and she hasn’t sucked my dick before either, so I guess that makes her your bitch and not mine.”

Ocean hadn’t even seen my dick before. I knew better.

Shakur’s mouth fell, and I laughed.

“All jokes aside, my sister likes you, and Sony has his eyes on her. I know you care about her too, but can you protect her?”

He asked the million-dollar question. A question I didn’t have an answer to.

My phone started ringing, and I wasn’t even surprised to see that it was Sincere again.

Don’t that nigga sleep, I thought, knowing it was two in the morning, and he was still up hounding me. But then a thought came to me, and I lifted my head to look at Shakur.

“There’s only one way,” I said.

He looked at me, smirked, and said, “I already know what you gonna say.”

My only hope was that I wasn’t making a mistake!
