Chapter 34 #2

Oh. She shot Eli a look and noticed he was holding back a smile. But then she put her hand into Kellan’s. An immediate sense of safety hit her. These guys just seemed to have the ability to make her feel at ease.

“All right, but you’ll sleep in late,” Kellan bossed.

“Actually, I thought I would go for a run in the morning.”

“No,” Kellan said as they entered the restaurant.

“Why not? I won’t go with you and slow you down. I can go by myself.”

“No.” This time it was Eli. “You’re not going anywhere alone at the moment, remember?”

Drat.

That was right.

“Do you want to go with me?” she asked Eli.

Eli grimaced.

“Eli hates running,” Kellan told her.

“I don’t suppose you want to go to the gym and run on the treadmill?” Eli asked.

“I guess I could do that,” she said as they entered Fet and a lovely server showed them to a table.

“Ooh, this all sounds delicious,” she said, perusing the menu. More than she could really afford, though.

Which also reminded her . . .

“How much do I owe you guys for the hospital?” she asked. She’d given up on offering to pay the original hotel bill. Although she should offer to pay her share now. Staying at the hotel wasn’t cheap.

They both turned to her with a glare. Before they could say anything, though, a big guy stormed out of the kitchen and walked toward them. He had short, dark hair with some gray at the temples and a ferocious scowl on his face.

Was he . . . was he coming toward them?

Eli sighed as he spotted him. “Incoming. Renard.”

Kellan turned to look. “What’s wrong with him?”

“You,” he boomed, stopping next to her.

She glanced around but he didn’t seem to be talking to anyone else. “Me?”

“Yes, you!”

“Did I do something?” she asked.

“You’re the girl who is allergic to peanuts, right?”

“Um, yes.” Wow the town gossip was working overtime.

“I called ahead and warned them about your peanut allergy,” Eli explained.

Ahh. Right.

“I’m going to tell you the things you can’t eat,” the older guy said loudly. “You got a good memory or you want me to write it down?”

“I can remember.”

He pointed out three things on the menu. She’d figured they had nuts anyway.

“I’m going to prepare your food personally in a separate area,” he said.

“Oh, that’s really not necessary,” she said, aware of everyone staring at them.

“It is!” he said. “Do as you’re told.” And then he strode away, stopping to talk to the server. “Do you remember what she can’t eat?”

The woman looked startled for a moment, then nodded.

“Good! There will be no anaphylactic shock on my watch.”

After he left, there was silence. Then she heard someone speak from the table next to them.

“And this is why I drive hours to come to this place. Amazing food and a show.”

Great.

Just what she liked. Being a show.

“Sorry, baby,” Eli said. “I should have guessed he might do that. Renard is a . . . he’s . . .”

“Completely fucking nuts,” Kellan said.

“He’s also protective of the women in this town and really good at his job,” Eli told her. “I recommend the steak.”

“Just don’t order it well-done,” the same person at the table next to them told her. “He hates that.”

She ordered the steak and turned to the guys who were back to glaring at her. “What is it?”

“Owe us for the hospital?” Kellan repeated. “That’s not happening.”

“But that’s my debt and I should pay it. Also, I must owe you some money for the hotel since I’m staying with you both.”

“You don’t owe us anything,” Eli said fiercely. “You don’t keep track of money in a relationship.”

Oh, she guessed that was a good point.

“It just doesn’t feel right. Like I’m using you guys or something.”

“You aren’t doing anything like that,” Kellan said. “End of conversation.”

Their food arrived and Renard delivered the steak himself. “Good choice. You look pale, this will help.” He set the plate down. “Eat it all.”

“Is he always this bossy?” she asked.

“He is,” the man from the table next to her said.

Kellan glared at him and he turned away. As she ate a piece of steak she let out a low moan.

“That’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten.”

“Jesus, baby,” Eli said quietly. “Are you trying to make me hard?”

“What? No!” she said.

“You might want to stop those noises then,” Kellan told her, shifting on his chair uncomfortably.

Or maybe she wanted to ramp them up. Because she didn’t quite know how to seduce them into making love to her.

But perhaps she could push them over the edge.

Because she’d had enough of just sleeping in bed with them. It had been five days since they’d given her those orgasms. And she wanted more.

Even if that means being naked in front of them?

She thought about that for a long moment and realized that she trusted them.

They would never hurt her.

So she took another bite and let out a low moan.

Both men stilled and then turned those sharp, intense gazes on her.

“I think someone is teasing us,” Eli said in a low voice.

“She should be punished for this,” Kellan added as she licked her fork clean with long, slow strokes of her tongue.

Jeez.

Who knew this would be so fun?

“Not teasing you wasn’t a rule,” she pointed out as she took another bite of steak and moaned.

“It should have been,” Kellan said, staring at her mouth intently. “Damn, you are beautiful.”

She blushed pink and Eli moved his chair so it was closer to hers. She jumped as his hand landed on her thigh. She was wearing a pair of thin pants and she could easily feel the heat of his hand against her skin.

A shiver ran through her.

Oh Lord.

“Play with fire and you’re going to get burned,” Eli murmured in her ear. “Now, be a good girl and part your legs.”

Without thought she spread her legs wide and he ran his hand up the inside of her thigh.

She had to bite her lip to keep from moaning out loud.

He leaned in closer. “Are you wet, baby? Do you need us?”

“She needs to eat.” Kellan cut some of her steak then held a piece to her mouth.

She shook her head and glanced around, but their nosy neighbor had left. And it was pretty quiet in this corner of the room.

“Don’t worry about everyone else,” Eli told her. “Just worry about yourself. You’ve been a naughty girl and now you’re going to have to pay.”

Oh man.

Those words shouldn’t turn her on this much. She swallowed heavily.

Eli’s hand moved to cup her pussy. “Eli.”

“Eat your steak like a good girl. You don’t want to be punished, do you?” Eli murmured.

“That isn’t a rule.” She turned to frown at him.

“Keeping yourself healthy is a rule,” Kellan stated. “And that includes eating.”

Dear Lord.

“You guys are the ones making it hard for me to eat.”

“Hmm, that’s not the only hard thing around here,” Eli said. “But you know about that, don’t you?”

Holy hell.

Her cheeks had to be bright red. They were so hot that she put her hands on them.

“Shh,” Eli told her, rubbing his fingers over her pussy. “I think you’re wet and in need. That you need us. But you should have told us.”

“I didn’t know how,” she said honestly.

He paused and Kellan stared at her intently.

“What do you mean?” Eli asked.

“How do I ask for . . . that? I mean, I’ve never done this before. I didn’t know how to ask.”

She knew she sounded like an idiot. But it was the truth. She didn’t have a clue how to do this.

“I’m sorry. You’re right. I started this. My father was right, I’m an idiot. Why would you want to be—”

Eli’s mouth pressed against hers, smothering the words.

Then he drew back, giving her a firm look. “Listen to me. You are not an idiot. And you don’t have to know how to do these things. If anyone is an idiot, it’s the two of us for not realizing that you would need some guidance.”

Her shoulders slumped. “Really?”

“Really,” Eli told her firmly. “Of course that doesn’t mean you’re not getting punished for what you just said about yourself.”

She glared at him. “I’m pretty sure you just like spanking me.”

Eli grinned. “My secret is out.”

Kellan snorted. “Worst kept secret. Now, eat.”

“I don’t want to be spanked.” She took the bite of steak and ate it. “Like you said, I didn’t know how to ask.”

“Oh, you’re not being punished for that,” Eli told her. “It’s for calling yourself an idiot. Or saying that anything your father said is true. Because it’s not.”

“But don’t worry,” Kellan told her. “After your spanking, we’ll give you all the orgasms you desire.”

“Really?” she asked, breathlessly.

“Oh yeah,” Eli said. “Now, eat all your steak like a good girl so we can get home and fuck your brains out.”
