Chapter 25 #2

When I followed the direction of his gaze, I wanted to turn back around.

There by the entrance stood Keynauri, Logic, East, and that pretty woman I saw him with on Logic’s story.

Jealousy wasn’t even the word to describe the way I was feeling inside.

While I was fully aware that East was single, he had never brought someone as a date.

I wanted to go off on him, but he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Hell, I was there with Mendeecees, so I didn’t have a leg to stand on.

Mendeecees didn’t wait for a response as he grabbed my hand, practically dragging me over to where they were.

All eyes were on me as my brother and East stared at me.

Keynauri wasn’t happy about me being with Mendeecees, and he made his feelings known the moment he found out about us.

I tried to tell him that I was grown, and I was only having fun, but Nauri went straight into big brother mode.

He felt as though Mendeecees was going to break my heart, but the joke was on him because Mendeecees would never have access to it.

The fellas shook hands and greeted one another.

Mendeecees made me cringe because he was acting like a fan when it came to my brother.

He even gave East his props for the records he helped create and asked if he would consider working with his team.

I could see the arrogance on East’s face when he told him he was exclusive to Keynauri.

I wanted to run away, but I was stuck in place while they discussed business until Mendeecees got called away.

“I’m gonna chop it up with y’all later. There’s plenty of drinks and food, so please help yourselves, and have a good time. I’ll be back when I can, baby. Don’t go too far.” He kissed my cheek before walking off.

East kept stealing glances at me while the woman on his arm glared at me as if I had pissed in her Cheerios. I decided to be petty since it was obvious she wanted my attention.

“Essex, who is this lady you have on your arm? I thought I knew all of the members on Keynauri’s team,” I probed.

“This is Montoya. She’s a friend of mine. Montoya, this is Lyric, Keyz’ little sister.” His introduction stung, but I couldn’t be mad because I was the reason he couldn’t introduce me as anything else.

“It’s nice to meet you.” She stuck her hand out, but it seemed forced. The liquor in my system had me feeling bold, and since my feelings were hurt, I decided to be petty and leave her hanging. She quickly caught the hint and dropped her hand while Logic howled with laughter.

“I’m going to go find Summyah. Y’all have a good night.

” I walked away before anyone could address me.

I put an extra switch in my walk, knowing I was wearing the hell out of this dress.

When I finally caught up with Summyah, she was still grinning in the handsome man’s face.

She seemed smitten by him, so I didn’t bother to interrupt her.

Instead, I grabbed some food and went outside to eat alone.

There were people everywhere, but I managed to find space on the side of the house.

I brought my own chair because I didn’t want to be bothered.

My phone chimed, and I picked it up to see who was messaging me.

I shouldn’t have been surprised when I saw his name pop up on the screen.

He was back to being Noodle’s daddy in my contact, and I didn’t give a damn.

Noodle’s Daddy: You petty asf

Me: And what’s your point?

Noodle’s Daddy: You could have at least shook the girl’s hand. You’re the one who asked for the introduction.

Me: I just wanted to know her name in case my daughter ever came home talking about her daddy’s new friend.

Noodle’s Daddy: You won’t ever have to worry about that. Ain’t nobody meetin’ my little one.

Me: Yeah, whatever. I’m trying to eat in peace. Go back to your little “friend”

The more I thought about it, the more upset I became. I wanted my man back, and seeing him in person with another woman damn near crushed me. Normally, I was good at putting on a front, but I was failing miserably and didn’t know what to do.

Noodle’s Daddy: It’s crazy for you to be jealous when you’re the one who holds all the cards.

Me: What do you mean?

I was so engrossed in texting; I hadn’t even realized a fly was having a field day on my plate. It completely ruined my appetite as I set the plate on the ground.

Noodle’s Daddy: You’re upset because I’m here with Montoya, but you’re here with this nigga as if you weren’t just sitting on my face last night. Make it make sense.

He had a point. We had been sneaking around and fucking for a while now, and I couldn’t stop. Mendeecees and I weren’t in an official relationship, but I was sure he wouldn’t have been cool with me letting my baby daddy slut me out every chance he got.

Me: What’s your point?”

My nerves got the best of me as I waited for a reply.

Noodle’s Daddy: Lola B, you already know what it is between you and me. I’ve made my stance abundantly clear.

Me: So what are you saying?

Noodle’s Daddy: What do you want, Lyric?

I bit my bottom lip as I replied.

Me: I want you.

The bubbles popped up, and I swear I felt like I was going to pass out as I waited for him to respond.

Noodle’s Daddy: Prove it.

I closed our interaction, trying to figure out what my next move would be. Deciding to go back into the house, I took a deep breath to gather my thoughts.

As soon as I stepped inside, I started looking around for Essex.

I spotted Keynauri, but he was talking to a bunch of people I wasn’t familiar with.

After searching for a few minutes, my bladder grew full, and I decided to take a detour to the bathroom and then resume my search.

I had never been to this place before, so I opened a few doors before I finally reached the bathroom.

After I finished, I washed my hands and walked out.

At first, I was going to go back to the main room with everyone else, but something was telling me to be nosy and look around.

I opened a couple of doors and peeked inside and was shocked to find random couples fucking.

They hadn’t even bothered to lock the doors.

Mendeecees rented the mansion for the weekend, and he showed me the master bedroom he would be sleeping in.

For some reason, I found myself walking further down the hall.

When I got to the master bedroom, I pressed my ear to the door to make sure no one was in there.

The music was so loud in the house, I couldn’t hear anything one way or the other.

Deciding to throw caution to the wind and open the door, I breathed a small sigh of relief when I discovered no one was inside.

As I walked further into the room, I admired the black and gold décor, along with the large area rug in front of the fireplace.

I had never seen one in the master bedroom, and I thought it added a nice touch to the room.

It gave rich bachelor vibes with a little splash of sexiness.

I continued to snoop around the room, checking the bathroom to make sure there weren’t any random couples in there either. Mendeecees warned me that these kinds of parties could get wild, but nothing prepared me for what I witnessed in those guest rooms.

“Let me find out you don’t really want yo’ nigga back.” His voice stopped me in my tracks, and I turned in his direction. My coochie had a mind of its own as it leaked instantly.

“I looked for you, but I couldn’t find you. I decided to go to the bathroom and then come back.”

“Yeah, alright. Tell me anything.” Essex swaggered over to me, sending my hormones into overdrive. No man had ever had a hold on me the way he did, and I wasn’t ashamed to admit that I was downright addicted.

“What were you looking for me for anyway?” he asked with a cocky grin.

My arms were folded across my chest as I tried my best to conceal my hardened nipples. “You told me I had to prove it, so that’s what I was coming to do,” I murmured, embarrassed by the way he was making me feel.

“Oh, yeah? And how were you planning to do that?”

Essex stood so close to me, I could see his pores.

“I was gonna pour a drink on that lady and then take the microphone and tell everybody how you were eating my pussy from the back last night.” I tittered.
